I have learned to put items in my cart even if questionable because someone else will grab it. Then before leaving I go through my cart to see what I want to keep or leave behind. That's when I look things up to make sure what it's worth, etc.
5:29. Bottom, left. Looks like a lid to a VitaMix blender, or similar. I have had good luck selling such lids. Some you can get as much as $25 for easily. People often need them for their expensive Vitamix, BlendTec blenders, because they lose them, need an extra one, or they bought one on Ebay, but missing the lid. I always grab them. Vitamix and Blentec bl;ender parts always sell fast for me. Carafe.. Base units, lids.. etc. Food pushers, as well. People always need replacement parts. Also, Breville Juicer parts sell fast and for decent money. Grab them (especially if cheap).
Go through the old computers too. What you're looking for are the old sound cards. A working soundblaster can fetch over 100 dollars. Well worth your time learning about them and I get them for less than 2 bucks a piece
Everyone has different items they look for. I do the same and have looked up thousands of items and my wife even more. It's a never ending learning process. I did see several items I would have picked up
Love going to the bins despite all the hard work! Digging through treasures is like hitting the jackpot. Once found a sequenced American flag jacket and resold it for $100! Someone’s trash is another person’s treasure
Sometimes at ours you can bargain to pass less per pound for a heavy item, also ours prices differently than yours. Ours is just by weight (by major type - clothes vs shoes vs books). I have found $80 items in the bins, plus one time, cash (and from a bin that was there over the weekend).
Found a fully intact no damage 14x6 Waterford crystal lamp shade in Goodwill blue bin yesterday!Thought it was Gorham and when I got it home I spotted the tiny acid etched waterford and seahorse.Literally did a happy dance and started screaming in my kitchen.Hoping to get $150.00 or gift it at xmas to my motherinlaw who loves Waterford.Paid a flat rate of $3.00.My Goodwill outlet charges a flat rate for small heavy items instead of by weight.
No Goodwill bins in my area, always said I would like to go to one but after watching your video I have definitely changed my mind. I’ll pay an extra dollar to find something to sell and not have to dig through the garbage.
Not sure if this sells...but there was a Pyrex lid you passed up. I used to have brown Pyrex pots/pans. But the lids get broke and it was hard to find a replacement. Also sterling silverware can sell for jewelry. I have a beautiful necklace someone made from a spoon. Love your channel.
My bins equipment is a backpack full of bags and bungee cords (I ride a scooter), gloves, Benadryl, tissues, and a magnet (in case I find jewelry bits.
Copied from a website: Precious Metals Aren’t Magnetic Gold, silver, and platinum are not magnetic. The next time you spot precious metal, put it to the test. Take your coin or piece of jewelry, and place a strong magnet on top of the object. Slowly tilt your metal item to see if the magnet sticks to the object by the magnetic pull, or if it slides off onto the ground. If the metal attracts the magnet, you know it must be an alloy mixture and not a precious metal.
Thanks for the tips! I tried to go to my local goodwill outlet once and was so intimidated and had no idea what to do. But at the one here, it was so crowded and people were just acting way too crazy for my liking lol..
Ka Smith go with someone. My niece and I decided to go tackle it. We nearly walked right out. Then we said, were here, let’s try it. But we were such newbies, we got pushed aside. We decided to tackle bins that were also ready sitting by themselves. I’ve been just twice only though. Won’t go on my own. Lol! Best with a buddy.
First time watching you dig. Other utube people have awesome Bins. Mine are lousy but I still go sometimes. Always gloved and a mask. The dust is to much! I used to home school. I would have bought a game, and wrote the company for the missing rules. And I would have grabed just the paper out of that box, light weight. I don't shop to sell. Yesterday I found 7 vintage music sheets . One is worth $120.00 It's a first addition. The pictures are AMAZING. The other 6 priced at 10 to 20.00 bucks. Yes, I do dig!
Game pieces can sell well, also, so if it is a vintage game or a popular game, even if some pieces are missing, look to see if the pieces that are there are worth picking up .
I went to a warehouse in Silvertown E16 called Thrift factory Kilo sale !! They had a massive selection you could spend a whole day there. They only allow some people to pick and choose as they are really exporting mostly. but They also do events , thrift factory £10 per kilo You need a strong back to go through the clothes as mostly in cages and trollies But it was worth it as many where Brand new with Tags
I just wanted to say how much I truly appreciate your videos. You are so fun to listen to while I work! :D I'm not a reseller, preferring to sit on my behind at home and design printed on design items instead to sell on Etsy and sometimes Ebay too (not much success with the latter though). But I still enjoy listening to you share tips and the latest updates on what's selling out there. Thanks again!
One suggestion I have is go with your gut feeling when going through the bins. It doesn't cost but a few cents to pick it up. I have found many valuable items in those bins.
U found some cool stuff. I enjoyed the video. We have several outlets in my city. I go to one once and a while. Not near as full as your bins. Hardly ever fine anything but clothes. I only get if it's a nice name brand and looks new.
I love the bins. Ours closed due to the virus and I miss it so much. I do get to TX once and a while I need to look this one up to see if it's near where my daughter lives.
Watching this video, I noticed at least two American Flags! You should pull those out. Then donate them to a scout group so they can be retired properly. It's sad they are in there in the first place.
Those remotes will pay for your trip to the bins. I have no problem looking them up by model number on them. I just got two remotes someone was trashing that still worked and got $24 out of both.
Our city took an existing goodwill and turned into a goodwill bin outlet. I was so excited, but when we got there everything was junk. Is was like the reject of the rejects from other stores. The clothes and shoes looked so worn out. And the breakable were actually broken. 😡
Monica Ramirez That’s what the bins are, aren’t they? The rejects of Goodwills, so give it a chance and eventually it will get better. Maybe they’ll get more from nearby cities. Maybe??
@@annaibarra3447 incorrect. Atleast for my local outlet. They get donations from people who go there instead of a regular goodwill to donate. Or goodwill won’t sell an item for a couple weeks and send it to an outlet store.
@@YungAlex999 Ok, maybe it’s different in some cities, someone, one of the workers said that it was rejects from some goodwills. As so much was not all good stuff.
wondering if those old aluminum pan lids are recyclable....i love my Nanas aluminum pans, but I come across the odd aluminum lid at so many yard sales.
I see Family Pictures alll the time of kids etc. I dont get it... I could see if they were wedding photos and she divorced his hindend lolol ....BtW Great video as always!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I probably would only buy complete games but if I would find myself buying an incomplete game, I have heard of sellers parting out the pieces. For some games, it might be worth it. $$ The bins near me are not in a 'good' part of town, not sure if I would go again(and there were no bathrooms). Best Wishes to you, Julie
i have a question kinda but not related to the video. how do you find garage sales? i want to begin reselling from sales but i don’t know how to find them

Exactly
👍
totally always gotta throw it in your bag for later , ya never know

I like the occasional stopping with information- that's a fascinating way to watch and learn.
Everyone has different items they look for. I do the same and have looked up thousands of items and my wife even more. It's a never ending learning process. I did see several items I would have picked up
At 7:14 I think I saw a Cutco Spatula Spreader. They are nearly $80 brand new and sell for about $20 online.
Wish we had bins in the UK, looks fun.
Just found a Victorian jade and gold bar brooch for £1.50 in the thrift store / charity shop.
We have The Bins here in the USA but finding a Victorian piece of jewelry is amazing! I would love that!
Have you learned what its final value is yet?
At 17:10 you grabbed a Lisa Frank binder. Those 90's nostalgic pieces are worth picking up.
That was an Ed Hardy binder
Love going to the bins despite all the hard work! Digging through treasures is like hitting the jackpot. Once found a sequenced American flag jacket and resold it for $100! Someone’s trash is another person’s treasure
Not all Goodwill outlets, bins, do pricing like that. Many just charge by the pound. No discount on breakables.
Indy is by the pound. If its super heavy, like weights or bowling ball, it's sold separately.
@@erikaInDR same here in Tallahassee
In Arizona the bins are for returns and customers are not allowed in them, however ebayers act all entitled and do it anyway

I've stayed away from the bins because of the lack of cleaniness, but this viseo has encouraged me😊
Pet Peeve: DON’T redonate broken or missing pieces. Drives me crazy.

I LOVE watching you dig through garbage. I would be totally over whelmed. There are no Goodwill Outlets near me.😢
@ 7:15 you came across a Cutco spatula knife, which is a bolo brand. I sold that specific knife for $30 within a few days of listing it.
I’ve seen horde groups gather all the bags, check for cash, then throw them all back.
Yes you should always bring napkins or Kleenex because of the dust.
Actually, the Lovely bones is a fantastic movie. Highly recommend it

The more of your videos I watch the more I like them. I really enjoyed "digging" with you!!
Hi there! New subscriber-glad to come across your channel! I’m in Texas too! I love to get books from the bins and donate to teachers at my school! 🥰
Something I have been successful with is buying incomplete games. Of course I check them before buying but replacement game pieces do well for me.
9:25 was a life is good hat. Looked like it might have been pretty dirty but they're popular again right now 😃

Go with a couple of other people and stand in front of multiple bins, seems to me people who work in teams get better. Less scary too
I’ve been one in Oklahoma City
But when an employee came out with a blow horn to break up a group…We hightailed it out
Just a thought- If you want blank cards you can always cut off the front of the card and use that as a blank postcard.
7:14 was a Cutco knife...those sell for good money, especially having a whole set.
Spoted that too 👍

Lovely Bones, very good book to read and pick up
Martha Gentile, Right??
Don’t feel guilty about the galvanized letters. Dollar tree has been selling those for the last couple years so I guarantee that’s what those are.
That lid around the 640-650 is 15-25 dollars sell a couple a month
We have no bins here in my City, wish we did. That shell on the plate is an ammonite fossil shell
I love the bins. Ours closed due to the virus and I miss it so much. I do get to TX once and a while I need to look this one up to see if it's near where my daughter lives.
The bins here mostly have clothing and purses in the bins. Glass things are on shelves around the outside walls. .
I saw a $20 used cutco spatula spreader beside the forks.
I would have looked up the Club Aluminum lid. CA is a bolo.
Heading to them on Friday!!!! Thanks
The instacrate will change your life. It’s amazing
I have three of them, love these!!
I would have gotten the game board because you can sell the parts of the game to collecter. Or people who are missing piece.
I picked up an Avengers popcorn tin at the bins and sold it for 49.00 shipping included. Had no idea it was worth that.
Great advice. There’s lots of stuff there. Love the shell dish.
Watching this video, I noticed at least two American Flags! You should pull those out. Then donate them to a scout group so they can be retired properly. It's sad they are in there in the first place.

Can I ask how you sell these? I have several from old devices and would love to get a return from them. I’m new to the resale game.

Do you find ties.
Good profits to make from what I have heard.
the blue icicles are something I would have wanted lol
Rhyannon P I like colbalt blue! I would have purchased those cobalt blue icicles also ❣️
My tip is trust your gut instinct.

My Daughter teaches Kindergarten and she has that owl puppet
Why not get the Nintendo baby? $13 profit and lighter than the $10 heavy Apple?
I was thinking the same thing

At 9:30 you missed a "Life Is Good" baseball cap. Easy 15-20 bucks.
One and only Ivan is a real tear jerker. I’m Im a children’s librarian. Be prepared with tissues.
I love your UA-cam channel!
Very informational. Thank you!
I feel exactly the same about The Lovely Bones :)
I learn so much from you. Thank you.

Club ware lid....love this brand...
I see cutco knives. Nice
Did that rabbit (breakable item, I can't really tell what it is ) sell?
I want to go to the bins with you!!!!! 😷 your bins videos ROCK!!!! 🥰🥰
Do you just record with your phone? I would totally wear gloves also :)
I do
I’m glad someone is willing to do it, because those bins look DISGUSTING
What a cute Shepherd! Did you purchase it?
I do this too. N make excellent money 💰 doing it. N love it. 🤑
My name's Rochelle. I would've bought the beer/soda holder.
new here.. im in fredericksburg tx.. where are the best bins in my area? also with board games people will pay for pieces only and just the boards..
Is it worth getting to the bins when they open
Isn't there some history behind fiesta glassware? Like something linked to radiation matter
Yes!
Great video. Looks a little overwhelming.
What did you do with the silver forks?
I don't really thrift for profit I just get what I need form goodwill
Lovely Bones book is worth reading, skip the movie. I was sad with how bad it was. Sometimes our own mind image's are better for personal connection.
How do I look up items? Or where do I go
Should have grabbed all of those remotes
Was that a jean jacket next to the rack you picked up?
I missed it
Llama llama is a hot seller where I live.
At 9:26, the inside out white ball cap is a "Life Is Good" brand which sells between $10 and $15 in good shape.
The Mud pie frame was expensive
