Had a cry over this one. 2019.... Christ... Glad she's finally got the recognition for all of her work. We cannot let this history be forgotten until it's truly lost
They airdropped flowers to her grave here in the South Suburbs of Chicago every year for a long time after her death. I always thought that was amazing and a lot of commitment for largely no one to notice.
Wow this one was an emotional ride. The fact that William J Powell named the school after Bessie so even in death she achieved her dream made me tear up. And the cloud song is probably one of my all time favs.
The one thing I just noticed when comparing this season of puppet history to the older ones is the coloration of the professor now in comparison to the past. Like now he has grey hair and his eyes look different. When in the older seasons he was bright blue and had magnificent red eyes.
It's awful that she was ignored throughout history. I just hope that now she's getting her recognition, her spirit can now rest peacefully knowing her legacy has finally been praised.

I JUST WANT TO EAT THE TWINKLE TREATS. I love that the Ryan constellation is just a frowning face. Also, the professor's remorse for treating Ryan badly is very sweet, especially because he still considers him as a friend after everything. I do wonder why the professor denied him a victory.
The funny things about them being scared by The Professor when he tells them to step away from the box when they could very easily beat him in a fight lol
Thank you so much for covering Bessie Coleman! My dad told me about her growing up and she's been a major role model for me. So glad she's getting more attention.
I wonder if this is the family that the Professor has referenced in earlier seasons, or if he's finally finding a happy with them after untold centuries of grief after his last one fell to tragedy.....only time will tell. I'm so invested in this!
Ryan: Do you have a family? Professor: "I may have... a long time ago, but... memory (demon voice) FADES." Okay, I'm calling it: the Professor's been possessed again, and is trying to turn Ryan into a puppet with that lotion, but fortunately, the "drugs" he's putting in his cup are preventing that.
I assumed that the lotion was a Silence of the Lambs reference. Of course that would mean that "the Professor" (if it really is him) intends to turn Ryan into a meat suit...ew.
I grew up on the Muppets and I really love how Puppet history follows in their foot steps of making ridiculous educational puppet content for adults with some killer one liners. Jim Henson would have loved this 💜 Also the professor hologram is 100% some other entity trying to make Beef Man into a puppet
Not gonna lie, I felt like crying when the dude named a flight school after her, even though her death thing was published in 2019, she wasn't forgotten. :'3
Honestly, I'm really enjoying the professor being happy with his parents They should make a spin off where it's a family friendly show of just the professor answering his parents questions, and teaching them about life and how things work
my theory is that the genie is disguised as the professor and that the real professor is in the box, but he's now giant because of his dinosaur dna & next season shane will be in a professor fursuit

so happy to see Bessie Coleman covered!! I wanted to be a pilot *so* bad when I was growing up ‘cause of Coleman, my mom made sure I knew about her and how much of a badass she was. I even knew how she passed going into this, but it still makes me tear up to hear, y’know? I’m so glad people are learning about her.
I love Puppet History teaching about Black/POC historical figures that are otherwise not discussed in the average curriculum. It would be so cool if they expanded on that by teaching about LGBTQ historical events, such as the assassination of Harvey Milk or Stonewall, as well as Black/POC queer historical figures like Marsha P. Johnson or Sylvia Rivera!
I would kill for an episode on Stonewall. Puppet History really is teaching more and better history than the schools (though that bar is 6ft under the ground).
I did a project on Bessie Coleman back when I was a kid, and no one knew who she was or why she mattered to me. Nice to see her get a bit more time in the spotlight :)
So this guy doesn't remember he's related to the cookie monster and is in the same species as the Blue Man Group eh? What an incredible episode!! Thanks!! Loved to see Ryann back, his smile is lovely and his happiness makes me happy too

Everytime Bergara wins the lotion, I feel like he's one step closer to turning into a puppet xD it's all going according to plan *evil professor laughter*
Its funny how despite all of the great gags, dark humor etc., what always gets me the most to this day is when the professor simply turns and stares at Ryan with those souless glass eyes. (Which always somehow manage to look blank, yet pissed off at the same time.)

Bessie was an Icon and a badass and it makes me so mad that I haven’t heard of her until now! What a remarkable woman, if she has lived past her tragic end just imagine all the amazing stuff she could have done! She’s an inspiration, she never let anything hold her back from perusing her dreams, she kept doing. “It was a terrible shock to my nerves but that did not take them; I kept on going.” - Bessie Coleman
My dad always said it doesn't matter what you do in life, just always do your best. If you are a ditch digger, then be the best one there is and you won't be in that ditch for long. This incredible woman didn't let any naysayers stand in her way. Many people today could use some lessons from Bessie!
I love how the "Professor" chided them about how he doesn't do trick questions, when in the last Ryan(n) episode (Hatshepsut) he hit them with a surprise "all of the above" answer 😂
When the professor started making those horrfiic noises at 0:58, I kid you not the most inhuman sound came out of my mouth, along with my drink. I was completely flabbergasted.

They are adorable! I love how they are so willing to learn from their son! Slso I love how the professor calls the pterodactyl dad! Even though he has his past memories, the professor loves and recognizes the dinos as his parents!
I loved this one I also love the volcano one I think the episode was about either Pompeii or Herculaneum
could't agree more
@@annied1738 Mount Vesuvius, from the Pompeii episode, my favourite song full stop, let alone from this series. xD
Had a cry over this one. 2019.... Christ... Glad she's finally got the recognition for all of her work. We cannot let this history be forgotten until it's truly lost
crazy how the professor invented history to make his own game show, truly limitless power
They airdropped flowers to her grave here in the South Suburbs of Chicago every year for a long time after her death. I always thought that was amazing and a lot of commitment for largely no one to notice.
Ryan is dressed like a dad and Ryann is dressed like a cool hipster
I’m sorry don’t you mean beef boy is dressed like a dad…
@@windrocker1676 Beef Man.
He is dressed like a FINE father.
I'm weirdly thirsty for Ryan this season. Send help.
@@autumnsfablekeeper4419 I’m sorry, Beef man is dressed like a dad
@@windrocker1676 ahh, yes, my mistake. Beefman is dressed like a dad, and Ryann (with two n's cause he's cool) looks like a cool hipster
@@windrocker1676 Damn straight!
Wow this one was an emotional ride. The fact that William J Powell named the school after Bessie so even in death she achieved her dream made me tear up.
And the cloud song is probably one of my all time favs.
Okay but when the professor, like the REAL professor called Ryan his friend I actually started tearing up man
The one thing I just noticed when comparing this season of puppet history to the older ones is the coloration of the professor now in comparison to the past. Like now he has grey hair and his eyes look different. When in the older seasons he was bright blue and had magnificent red eyes.
Yeah his eyes are unfocused!! Theyre looking different directions
His nose used to be pink too
ryann's pure happiness is so contagious! i couldn't stop smiling the entire time!
Agreed!
He was just so damn delighted with everything
It's awful that she was ignored throughout history. I just hope that now she's getting her recognition, her spirit can now rest peacefully knowing her legacy has finally been praised.
wait...hold on...i wasn't prepared for that credits scene. professor missing ryan hours? in this puppet household? consider me wrecked (and intrigued). also, the music? goddamn, absolutely immaculate. got teary-eyed and all it's embarassing
I love when Ryan says something that Shane finds funny and he has to suppress his laughter to stay in character, right off the bat example; 1:27
Ryan G is such a sweetie I love seeing the pure joy in his face
God I really hope someday y’all get Rhett and Link to come on here and either play as a team or just have a game of 3 players instead of the normal 2! I think they would be PHENOMENAL guests for this show. If you watch GMM you KNOW they are already SUPER competitive.
absolutely yes
I would love that. I only started watching puppet history after watcher went on to gmm for an episode
they've had collabs with r & l before so it is possible!
Yesss!
YES PLEASE that would be so fucking awesome I love when they collab and puppet history is one of my fav watcher series’s
We must give Shane a Award for how good he sings
fr he sings so well even while doing a characters voice he's probably amazing normally

yo what like genre of music was this cloud song lol? It absolutely slapped but I can’t place what kinda music it is
I JUST WANT TO EAT THE TWINKLE TREATS.
Could they...?
If the professor is just a puppet then yes. I wouldn't be so sure about that tho.
guest!ryan mentioning he's the first one in his family to do drag and beef!ryan immediately giving him a sports guy high five for it 😂😂
Ryann’s pure joy at the song has made my day
I’m so glad I live in a world with Puppet History. What a masterpiece.
Thank you so much for covering Bessie Coleman! My dad told me about her growing up and she's been a major role model for me. So glad she's getting more attention.
Good on your dad!
i did my second grade black history month project on her!
Ryann Graham is a delight! Glad he got to meet in person this season.
Really loved learning about Bessie, but I can't wait to see how the whole cat & mouse game between Ryan and The Professor plays out.
I think it's the genei taking on the Professors form and the box is how he keeps it up
I think it may be the devil coming to get Ryan.
I assumed that the lotion was a Silence of the Lambs reference. Of course that would mean that "the Professor" (if it really is him) intends to turn Ryan into a meat suit...ew.
I think whatever is now possessing the Professor is planning to possess Ryan, and wants him in good shape and well moisturized
Is it possible he could be referring to the Dino parents? It'd be really weird considering what we think the lore is right now, but you never know!
I grew up on the Muppets and I really love how Puppet history follows in their foot steps of making ridiculous educational puppet content for adults with some killer one liners.
Jim Henson would have loved this 💜
Also the professor hologram is 100% some other entity trying to make Beef Man into a puppet
Not gonna lie, I felt like crying when the dude named a flight school after her, even though her death thing was published in 2019, she wasn't forgotten. :'3
Honestly, I'm really enjoying the professor being happy with his parents
They should make a spin off where it's a family friendly show of just the professor answering his parents questions, and teaching them about life and how things work
my theory is that the genie is disguised as the professor and that the real professor is in the box, but he's now giant because of his dinosaur dna & next season shane will be in a professor fursuit
Scary.
pls watcher people see this comment i really want to see shane in a giant ass professor fursuit
Why did I think I wrote this comment 😂 you read my mind I guess
Bessies story is incredibly inspiring. She was so strong and used her popularity as a means to support others and make change. She truly is amazing
31:22 professor: “ya know we’re putting horses out of work.”
ryan, the most sincere man ever: “😔 honestly…”
this man is genuinely so sad for these unemployed horses, i love him so much
To be fair, there's a horse just behind the curtain who's husband has recently died
so happy to see Bessie Coleman covered!!
Thanks!! Loved to see Ryann back, his smile is lovely and his happiness makes me happy too
It's not really him... send help....
Good to know that this one made a lot of other people cry too. What an amazing woman. Took way too long to recognize her but I’m glad we finally did
ryan's face at 3:06 in response to beef man's "insurance kids" is giving me life
incredibly baller to hear her brother say she wasnt shit compared to French women and be like "alright then get me some French classes and a better paying job I Know What Must Be Done"
The Professor immediately making a constellation out of Ryan before anything else at the end is so fucking sweet
The professor calling Ryan his friend made me very emotional for som reason
i think it's hilarious ryan finally got what he wanted, and seems genuinely unhappy with it. the world doesn't want ryan to be happy
That whole postcredit scene made me realize that the stars would TOTALLY been different for dinosaurs and that is so cool!!!
I love the story of Bessie Coleman. I'm glad you guys did her story.
The Professor’s parents are everything. I love the wired little prehistoric puppet family.
Everytime Bergara wins the lotion, I feel like he's one step closer to turning into a puppet xD it's all going according to plan *evil professor laughter*
I feel like that’s not actually the professor tho, like a hologram which is why he wants no one to touch him
@@venerandoalamaresjr.8910 Hologram Professor
I absolutely love the professor's parents. The characters are so fun, and the voices are incredible
Its funny how despite all of the great gags, dark humor etc., what always gets me the most to this day is when the professor simply turns and stares at Ryan with those souless glass eyes. (Which always somehow manage to look blank, yet pissed off at the same time.)
Hearing that someone honored her legacy and opened a flight school in her name made me more emotional than I though it would
I love the history you all present but I have to admit, the after back story has me hooked on this season! Ryan seems to finally figure things out!! DUN-DUN-DUNNN
Why was 20:19 so funny, tho? Like I laughed for a good 5 minutes after that "We're not moving along until you bark" lmao
I think this is my favourite episode so far this season!!! the awesome story, cute af cloud puppet (SHOUTOUT TO MADISON), fun vaguely-cursed song, and THE FREAKING FAMILY MOMENTS AT THE END????? jfc im in LOVE with the professors new dinosaur parents. Joyce and Garrett are abosolutely INCREDIBLE in their voice acting
My dad said that too. I took it to heart 💗
The fact that the Somerton Man, The Lady of the Dunes, and the Boy in the Box have been identified this year actually blows my mind! I'm sure you guys played a part in helping to solve these cold cases! Keep being great ❤
The Dino Professors' parents are too cute. A loving little family
Ryan just straight up saying I’m the first person to successfully and unsuccessfully kill a puppet shook me. I was not ready
I really like how instead of just running away and trying to get back home, the professor accepts being adopted by his new Dino parents. They’re so happy together !!! One big unconventional family!!
Loved seeing Ryann back as a guest! You can tell he is genuinely invested in the Professor's lessons. Would love to have him and Kate Peterman play puppets as well, like Garrett and Joyce lol
Garret and Joyce make the best dinosaur parents! 👍😂😂❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥 What a hilarious, sweet little family. I miss these guys already. But wait - maybe if they're puppets, they don't have to go away! 🤔 Soooo many questions!!! 😂😂😩
This show's lore....it's deeper than whale poo! 🐳🦕🦖
I didn’t realize it was Garrett!!! I love that
@@Ghoulieanna Honestly it makes sense considering he has a puppet of himself 😅
im not so sure about them not going away... remember what happened to the horse?
@@sigridhorn2408 remember? How could we forget? 😜😂 The whole time, I've been wondering about all those poor little puppets just hanging out in purgatory making their little shows during the Professor's celebration of life service cuz God and the devil don't know what or how to do with them. Although ....God and the Devil are puppets too! 🤔🤨 Oh, these Puppet History folks have left is with so many questions!!! 😩
@@sigridhorn2408 oh wait - what happened to the horse was the real horse and his lovely horse wife and muse, Dorothy Ruth died as horses in real life when they were real horses, but then the puppets who portrayed them or the puppets they turned into to portray their real life selves on puppet history reenacted their real life deaths and entry into the after life where they'd been until they were turned into puppets for puppet history and then got stuck in purgatory after the puppet party the genie and devil hosted to poison them all but that the professor didn't attend.
Um. I think. 🤔😂😂😂
Ryann Graham has such great energy. Loved him on this episode. 😊
I hope Bessie can rest in peace now that her accomplishments are being brought to light and appreciated on a wider scale.
Damn, I love that her community was celebrating her even before she was famous. It makes my heart so happy that she had support for whatever she did. She was confident as hell, brave as fuck, and kicked every ass. I believe she could have overcome anything in her way by herself if she had to, but I'm glad she had help.
She literally came home with a marching band, she had articles in the paper about her manicure skills, of course she became a flying entertainer. She always had her brand on point 💅✈
I wonder if she was a theater kid....
