You are a magician! I safely and confidently got into headstand on my first try ever :) Thank you for your strength building flows (including the dreaded, seemingly endless "knee-to-noses") that make challenging poses so approachable! Honestly the most challenging pose in this flow was savasana because I was so excited that I got up in headstand!
I'll take magician as my new title LOL and way to go on your first headstand Jackie, wooooo! And yes, the knee to nose move is always a trustworthy kick your butt, build strength move, very reliable! Keep coming back for more, xoxo.
Your hand placement for forearm headstand was just what I needed to get into it for the first time! I've been working on building strength for this pose for weeks thinking my shoulders were not strong enough. Turns out my base just wasn't quite right. I've tried several different hand variations with no luck until this practice. Thank you!
You are such a good teacher! During recess I tried the headstand, not expecting much, I got up first time! I was standing on my head being amazed lol. Thank you for your great tutorial!
The most inspiring headstand preparation flow I have found in the whole internet world! You, Allie, remind me of my favourite yoga teacher so much! Many greetings from Greece! namaste
I don't know if you're going to read this, but i just wanted to thank you, because with this video, with your class, i finally understood the headstand posture and i did it. I'm really happy and i want to share it with you. Namaste ♥
Hi Ann!! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with me!! I'm so happy to hear the class was helpful and YES! Congrats on nailing that headstand!! 😍
Absolutely love it! Thank you so much! I used to practice headstand, I always do it coupled with my soft chair in case I fall out (which happens very often). But today I have done it almost through my core not through a hop of legs. It was a brilliant feeling. I did not even care about falling out, I realized I got the main idea. Namaste! 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
Thank you! I find your videos inspiring for my home practice. You work with honesty and integrity and push the viewer to find their edge. I love that I can find one of your videos for any kind of practice. Naturally nothing beats hands on corrections etc, but you are the best in cyber form! Please keep doing what you are doing. Namaste. xx
Two days in a row I’ve not wanted to get up or do anything then found you at the top of my feed and it’s been just what I needed to get me going & feeling great. Thank you Allie. I never thought I could do yoga & you make it so easy to follow 🌷
Thank you for another awesome video I Found that going into child’s pose between headstands really helped me and I actually got off the wall which was amazing!
I loved this one Allie! Except for maybe the eagle crunches. haha! But let's be real, I love everything you do. ❤️ The headstand prep moves at the end were so helpful. I was trying to hop and ended up going all the way up instead! I've never gotten up in a controlled way before. It's always been me flailing around and kicking wildly! You're the best and I just love you!!!!
I already saw your pic, so I know you made it up and rocked it out babe!!! So freaking proud of you! Love that you believed in yourself and did the damn thing, xoxo
Thanks you souch for wonderful flow Allie, head stand is one scary Asana for me but I did try it for the first time today, and it was not as scary as I thought it would be.I will practice more for this pose now, thank you again .Om Shanti Allie
This is the closest I ever got to a head stand. Great prep and instructions ! The feeling of getting my feet off the ground feels like I am floating :)
Great class Allie! I love having you by my side (on my laptop). Hope to come to one of your retreats some day and hug you in person! :) xoxo You have brightened my day again. Thank you so much for creating and building this community, you give us a piece of your self each week and it is not in vain. Your humble warrior and Chicago friend- Heidi
Hiya, I'm new to your channel and I have to say I love it, great flows, great energy & today's class has helped me polish up my head stands, I'm feeling more fluid and relaxed as I go up into them. Thanking you 🙏🏻

Absolutely loved this butt-kicking practice Allie! Head- & hand-stands have always been my challenges & really admired the way you helped me deal with them. Thank you so much 🧡👱🏻♀️🖤🍑💋🥰💪🏻👌🏻🙏🏻✨
I'm new at the yoga journey and was hypnotized watching some of your videos .. can you please tell me what you mean by lift your shoulders when you're upside down preparing for the headstand. thanks Donna
Hi Donna, great question and welcome to the yoga journey! I mean to push into your forearms, lift your shoulders away from your ears, and also make space for shoulder to shoulder - so nice and spacious around the neck area. I recommend watching me during that part of the video closely to get a better visual. Also, since you're new to the journey, I definitely recommend joining our online tribe right here - www.thejourneyjunkie.com/join-the-journey
Just like to thank you for restoring so much mobility to my vehicle! You've helped me a lot! -I would appreciate your advice tho... I have particular trouble balancing on my feet due some prior injuries. And find it almost impossible to do single leg poses. What can i do to restore strength here? :)
Thank you for showing up and doing the work and choosing to practice yoga with me! For me, regarding single leg poses, a lot of the balance comes from strong + stable legs (hamstrings, quads and glutes). Also - your CORE! Really, everything must work together to maintain the posture in these moments. Now regarding your feet, I don't have experience here, possibly reach out to a chiro, PT, or schedule a private with a more experienced yoga teacher.
Every time I do something like eagle crunches my neck is so sore the next day. It feels too weak to hold my head up that way even though I keep it aligned. Are there any "neck strengthening" exercises?
