This album comes out the gate super dissonant, but it also has some really amazing melodies sprinkled through later tracks. Awesome work!
Took some time to grow on me, but this is now my favorite album of the year so far
This album is bursting at the seams with malicious, venemous energy and artistic purpose. An early contender for the top list.
this is fucking rad! gives me old Gaza vibes, love it!
Make metalcore great again
@@deathmagicblackmetal9197 At least we have Jesus Piece holding the torch, but damn do I miss Gaza. Truly an untouchable band in metal history.
Great comparison! I miss those guys. They put on a hell of a show back in the day. At least we have Cult Leader, though.
Can't wait to download the album, blisteringly heavy!
Awesome 🤘🏻💀🔥
Loving this, just got it recommended to me and it fits nicely into the DSO/Blut Aus Nord vibe. Only on the first listen now but looking forward to diving into this and Serpent Column!
So good, best stuff J.H. has done yet I think. While a slightly different expression, a good next step from Serpent Column.
#StayDissonant 🖤
Bad ass!! \m/ Hails from Propagate the ROT, Spokane Wa Blackened Death Metal!!!
Holy shit. This is even wackier than the other Serpent Column stuff.
Sweet. Creo lo voy a pegar.
nice
Yo, this slaps.
I'm so glad that we got a full Theophonos album, absolutely rips. However, this does worry me that there won't be any more Serpent Column in the future...
He retired Serpent Column when he started Theophonos.
Still pretty cool stuff ngl.
Reminds me a bit to the Chinese solo Extreme Metal project Hoplites (damn awesome stuff btw), this sounds like Blackened Mathcore for real.
Pretty sure Hoplites were influenced by Serpent Column so it makes sense
Is that how you pronounce Ὁπλίτης ???
I guess i could have just looked it up lol. It is.
@@user-mr1yk8mf1e The Metal Archives exist you know...
Sick🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘💯☠️👎🔨
I'm on my 4th listen all the way through, no filler bullshit, this album is amazing, I'm trying to find some live video of them but there's absolutely nothing, what gives? Do they not play shows?
Hailz and thanks for the support. I don't play live because I don't have (or want) bandmates to do that with. It was just never in the cards.
@@Theophonos shit, I just realized that you did the whole thing, mad props man, I've been listening to it for days now, I definitely feel this shit man it's really good 👍, are the drums live?
Thanks man, glad you dig🤙. On this one I did get some help from a producer friend for some sound engineering stuff that's still beyond me. For the drums, same person taught me how to start programming many years ago and I just took it from there, worked on it like the cure for cancer to make it sound natural. I let that slip some time ago and got a lot of hate, but now I don't care.🔪
@@Theophonos Programmed drums aren't inherently evil, and you executed them well here - also understandable since this is a one-man project

"promo sm" 😇
awesome shit, shame the low production drags it down
