    I used to be a shake and roll shooter until I saw this video. NowI practice my toss. You don’t have to ricochet off the wall just kiss the back wall. It’s like shooting pool or bowling. You have to practice your throw.

    I watched this a week or two ago, bought some dice and a practice table, and within 5 days I'm already hitting 19 rolls before a 7 out and developed a strategy of betting on the table that covers every number while hedging the 7 for minimal losses with maximum gain. Meeting up with a dice controller this Wednesday for practice on his real full size table and once I consistently hit at least 20 before a 7 out I'll be heading up the mountains to beat the casino's. Just had to come back and watch what motivated me.

    • @Goldentouchcraps
      @Goldentouchcraps  7 років тому +6

      One thing I tell all students is that you need to practice your betting along with the throw. I understand what you mean by saying you got so excited. In what we do, it does become all about the number of rolls and really not about the amount of money won. Yes, money won is important, but the number and time of the roll is what really excites us!

    It’s amazing to me that people in the comments are critical of Dom/skills he has developed over the years!
    The man literally teaches everyone how to effectively beat the casinos and make themselves money-and they criticize??!!??!!
    I’ve followed Dom’s principles since watching this video last year, I’ve used what
    He teaches, and although I don’t play much (4 times in the last year) I’ve won big all four times.
    Is it luck??? Maybe....but then employing his techniques seem to make you the “luckiest” player at the table-and I’m ok with that too!!!
    Keep rollin’ Dom-you’re the best!!!

    Dom and Frank, I just wanted to say first and foremost, thank you for all the information you have shared with the rest of us. You guys are true Craps legends.
    I have a few questions regarding how to bet on tried and true controlled shooters like yourself, that I would be honored if you would respond to for me.
    I noticed in your article on the GTC website titled “Come Bet Ramblings - Part 2”, at the end you wrote, “These results convinced me that Come betting is the way to go with random shooters”. This left me wondering, do you only use Come betting on random shooters and not on controlled shooters such as yourself?
    If you or Frank were given the dice, would you also use Come betting as your preferred method of betting? Do you ever Place or Buy bets at any point during a roll?
    Thank you so much, in advance.

    58:40 first time seeing this, it was eye opening for me, I was always good at random shooting naturally, 12-18 rolls before hitting the 7 in my younger adult life amongst friends and not casinos, so I tried it in vegas for the first time just for the heck of it, sure enough I tossed 16 rolls before hitting 7 on my first take, then tossed 20 before hitting 7, table was full of people cheering and I only profited $200 on a $5 table, $100 buy in.
    Now, years later, after watching Casino Quest 30 roll challenge UA-cam videos, I played field bets after seeing a guy from 30 roll challenge roll an awesome 6-7 back to back winning field numbers banking $7,000!
    Well I quickly tossed my field bets plus my point numbers and placed odds to cash out $200 twice in just 2 sessions of $100 buy ins.
    Watching this awesome story has got me amped upon perfecting my game and betting.
    Thanks!!

      Well first - that guy that you saw is a student of mine from OH. Next, you don't want to bet the field in normal play - too high of a house edge. Look at my videos to learn how to bet, not those challenges. That is just for trying to get a big hit in a tournament

    The problem with this is that even with the prefect throw...those pyramid bumpers can change it randomly. The general rule is that you have to hit the back. Some places will let you get away with it, but generally if you're throwing across a table you're going to hit those bumpers. It's possible to somewhat control is based on the dice position and muscle memory, but it's not a promise of winning. There's more ways to roll a 7 than any other number so..

    • @Goldentouchcraps
      @Goldentouchcraps  5 років тому +3

      A 7 is going to show every 6 rolls, to get an edge when you throw you need to show a 7 every 6.23 rolls .... just .23 better and your edge against the house is 1.7% which is greater than the HE on the 6/8 which is 1.5%, and even better using comebets

      I do appreciate your voice, and most or should I say almost all dealers that I have encountered have been very nice to me because I tip so generously, but the stories portrayed in the documentary did happen. As matter of fact, just yesterday playing in a casino in AC, I made my first 3 points and the dealer across for me put about $30 in tips in her box because I had money on the line for them with odds and neither the dealer nor the stick even thanked me for the tips as the racked them and but them in their box. I finally said a thank you would be nice! For whatever reason, they had an attitude.

They watch stuff on UA-cam and then think they can do it, so they blow their bankroll at the casinos trying to duplicate what they saw WITHOUT PRACTICING A TON FIRST! I think people expect too much, like going 20 or more rolls everytime without the 7. It doesn't matter how perfect you throw the dice, they will bounce around and you'll get 7s. The key is too be able to roll consistently more rolls with dice control- more than the average shooter. Then you have the advantage. You can win a lot of money in a short amount of time just playing numbers..most people can't pull their bets down going for some long roll and that's why they can't win. You need to know how to throw and bet right to win!

    • @Goldentouchcraps

      I have definitely had stick men act this way. The longer you roll the worse it becomes. I have had the stick waived in front of me, stick men changed just before hitting all points, excessive slowing of the dice, and many more. The one thing I have found that offsets the stick man is to add “crew love” to the pass line. When I put a bet down for the team working the table I have found they can become a part of your team very quickly. Put Down a pass line bet for them. Give the bet odds. Throw out a few hard ways for them. Put $5 on a fire bet.

    They don't build these casinos to lose money. Trust me, if they could, the casinos would load the dice and make it nearly impossible for the players to win. The casinos would control the games like a gaffed carnival with cheating as part of the action. Read up on the old days in Vegas. Some of the sawdust joints had crap tables so rigged the dice would "roll" like a car with two flat tires skidding down the felt.
    Thus if a player gets an advantage over the casino, I stand and cheer and clap with that player.

    I work on my control shooting and have success. 3-1 3-2 is a good dice set. There is also success betting against "random shooters" especially when their point is anything but a 6 or 8. If you bet on don't come on the come out, you can also move your bet or slide it over to the pass line once a point is established . Random shooters will hit on 6s and 8s so be careful betting against that. Sometimes you'll get negative feedback for being a don't come better. I tell them the don't pass line isn't there for decoration. Not here to make friends, only money. Don't pass can be very profitable if played right.

That year I only played at the Downtown Casinos, the Cal, Freemont, Mainstreet, Golden Nugget & Binnions. I am now on a 8 streak Vegas trip win, since that Casino Royals story, which was my 2nd trip with the winning streak. Smallest win was $1200 and my largest was $4800. I built my own craps practice table and practice almost evey day.

    Mental discipline is an un-taught skill. Distractions are easy to fall prey to whether it's disruptive players, bad dealers/ stickperson, rude/overtalkative boxperson, you name it. Allowing yourself to be taken out of your game can negatively affect your most honed physical skills of throwing the dice. Some people can inherently verbally jab back and forth and still block out the negative distractions and perform at a high level physically. If you find yourself getting frustrated by other players, chips in your throwing areas, dice changes etc. work on your mental discipline to make you handle distractions better.

    Casinos should just make dynamic back walls. Make the back wall randomly change shape. Hell, do it during the throw or have it constantly changing. It doesn't have to move much, and it would be pretty simple to do.
    Although I hope they don't. They don't need any more advantages.
