I actually heard about this before it was advertised. One of my instructors is a suit and his friend actually was sitting box when this happened. Now think about this, 122 rolls in 4 hours is only 30 rolls per hour, something that all casinos don't want. They want much more than 30 rolls per hour. I was told first hand that the whole table was making a ton of hop bets during the roll so it really slowed down the game. Regression betting or turning bets off if you are shooting with an edge costs you money. Why would you ever regress your bets if you are playing with an edge over the house. This is what pisses me off about other so called instructors on dice control that are on the internet. They don't understand math. So the first thing you need to do is calculate if when you are shooting you have an edge. If you don't have an edge, you shouldn't play. That is hard to do I know because we all want to play. Don't Bettors... I've never liked don't bettors. They come up to the table and basically wish for a seven while the rest of us are trying to have a great time - nothing like a great shooter and a happy table. Well, one time while in Las Vegas, I took a beating one night for about 2 hours after watching the 7 takes us out time and time again, so I finally decided, against my nature, to just bet the don't and give up the pass line - the table got smokin hot about as soon as I switched, after 2 hours of not seeing one decent hand, and I got clobbered even worse! Then, an old Nevada cowboy, about 75 years old, and wearing one of those lace type neckties with the turquoise stones, walked up behind me and said in my hear, and loud enough though for most people to hear, "Even a yellow-belly snake doesn't crawl behind the line!" I've never played the don't again - him saying that to me on one of the worst gambling road trips I ever had, still haunts me to this day.
:))) That old cowboy was right - but he also should have said to you, "Son, the house edge on the don't and the pass is basically the same - 1.4% against you." Good luck! Dom
I got a good laugh at the pictures of players shown at the craps tables in this video. They show gorgeous women throwing the dice. Everyone also is smiling and is happy go lucky. The real world of craps isn't like that at all. At craps tables where I play ( the east coast) men outnumber women literally by at least 15-to-1. In fact, at many of these tables there isn't a woman to be found. Most of these craps players are nasty old men, the type you'd see at the racetrack or some watering hole of a bar. If you don't believe me, just take a trip to Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods, or any Atlantic city casino and see for yourself. Many of them yell at you when you don't make a point. Yes, you do get your happy tables every so often. But the opposite occurs more often than not. The tables also are always crowded, except perhaps at 3 A.M. when most players are in bed asleep. So even if you are a good dice controller, you don't get the opportunity to shoot too often.
Glad the pics made you smile. You are mostly right about what you are saying. So maybe next time because men mostly play, we should put angry looking men in the pictures instead of beautiful women because using your thoughts - men would rather look at angry men while they listen to something instead of pretty women. Ahh I get it now. Good luck! Dom
No, Dom. You don't get it. The point I'm making is that this is the real world of craps-it's a very, very tough world. I for one am beyond getting annoyed looking at either Hollywood television shows, Hollywood movies, or clever Madson Avenue billboards and magazine ads showing friendly, smiling faces, and yes, pretty sexy women throwing the dice. That's fantasy. I happen to live in the real world, not the imaginary world of Madison Avenue. The real world of casino gambling, including craps, is a nasty, dog-eat-dog one where the worst in people often is manifested and experienced. I suggest editing the video and not showing any pictures at all. Or perhaps if showing pictures, instead the various table lengths, the various hard and soft felts which determine bounce, as well as the chips that were bet by other players sitting on the felt directly in front of the back wall, should be shown. Because as a dice controller these are a few of the things with which you have to contend to ensure the dice land in your targeted landing zone. As a heterosexual man myself, and your funny remark aside, I despise looking at men. Period. I love checking out those sexy cocktail waitresses when I'm walking around and not playing. But when I am shooting my mind and, far more important, my sight, is tunnel visioned on my landing zone. I also strictly keep to myself and talk to absolutely no one. I don't want to be anyone's friend. When I'm forced to wait those long periods of time in between the other shooters, I look at absolutely nothing but the felt. I also take turns and turn my back to the table, stare out into space, and collect my thoughts and concentrate on my coordination, speed, angle of trajectory, mechanics, what mistakes I may have made on my previous throw(s) and the other things that go into the very difficult art of dice controlling. I also play the Don't. You have to place bets at crowded tables; otherwise the pit likely will admonish you or ask you to leave. You also likely are going to get hassled by other players wanting to come in to the game who think you are hogging up a spot doing nothing. And I repeat, most likely it will come from a cranky man. And further than that, if you sevened out on previous throws, you'll most likely get that nasty, “Do you think you can make a point this time?” remark from one of these creeps. So I do the best thing and totally ignore every player. No exceptions. Even if you get that rare occurrence of playing alone, you are going to get hassled. I was threatened with physical violence by a Las Vegas pit boss at a burn joint when I accidentally didn't hit the back wall and threw a hard six. It happened to be a dead cat bounce. I also was told at another burn joint during a nice run that I had to follow the house rule and “throw the dice in 8 seconds” after I picked them up. They obviously didn't like me winning. Again, the point I'm making is that it ( craps) and the casino environment in reality is a tough one. I hope I didn't come off as being critical. And I hope I helped out and added a few pointers of my own for any novices out there. I also think you are without a doubt, the best and most accurate dice controller I ever have seen. Good luck to you too.
