I'll offer you a tip since I've been playing craps for 26 years (I'm 51). Use different colored dice and set the dice (left / right) the same color. This allows you to actually see what's happening to each of the dice as you practice your settings and your throws. (eg set a red on the left and a blue on the right). Now you can see when you throw what happened to the red (left) and the blue (right). This helps you determine axis and rotations. You should also monitor your dice throwing with video so you can examine your throw thoroughly. I find sometimes it's better to find a throwing motion that is not only comfortable, but not tiring. There's nothing worse than if you get into a long throwing session and you suddenly tire and you don't throw properly. Last, your feet are the most important piece. I plant one foot and never move that foot my entire throwing session. Moving your feet around, regardless of your throwing motion, will offset what you do in that throwing motion. If you are left handed lock your left foot in place. If you are right handed, lock your right foot in place. The weight should occur on the foot that is locked. Also, if you want to practice a good throw and you are practicing arm swing or hand swing, one of the things I learned over time is to use a wrist strap. Tighten the wrist strap considerably and it will lock your wrist in place. Now you only have to concentrate on method of throwing motion. Once you have that throwing motion down, take off the strap and your wrist muscle memory takes place. Here's my throwing motion (and again, my motion may not work for you but you can practice the philosophy when you create your own natural throwing motion). 1) I'm right handed so I lock my right foot in place. That foot never moves. Weight is placed on that foot during the throw. 2) I rub my fingers on my pants leg, not the table until I feel the heat. As I set the dice, my fingers cool but remain dry. 3) I set the dice to match what scenarios I've practiced and am going after. Regardless, I'm looking for dice consistency with numbers. 4) I manually lock my wrist in place. 5) I manually lock my elbow in place. 6) When I throw the dice, my arm swings like a pendulum, locked at the elbow and the wrist and it is similar in movement to a golfer's putt. Last, and most importantly, you can have off nights where your mechanics just aren't right or you aren't focused. On those nights, leave, practice at home and return the next day instead. Also, you should practice just before you go to the casino to ensure you are in the right mindset. Take care and love the hat, shirts and logo!!
Thank you for taking the time to share all of this information. I have used different colored dice to do what you said but after thousands of throws I have trained my eye to see which dice is what so I don’t do it no more. That was major, keeping the dice spinning together . Wow HCS is by far the best advisory channel I've seen. The advice on bouncy tables, I was just out in Vegas and encountered that. Like you said I had to move my impact zone back until they stayed in. I literally bounced the dice off the table 3 times which is really annoying. I dont have a real table at home yet so that advice saved my sessions. I'm using plywood under the felt so it's a harder surface and their isnt as much bounce as Vegas! Fantastic information. Simply fantastic. Your information/ instructions are some of the most informative I've seen. Interestingly, your video and the suggestions given by Dezenzio makes it 5 stars. Thanks to you both.
Im glad to hear another person besides myself carries dices in the car. LOL! Like a pitcher on the mound throwing baseball at a specific target within the strike zone and having different combos to do it, a dice controller needs to do the same. Table position (LS1,LS2,RS1,RS2),dice grip, release and pitch, (LZ)landing zone, speed, and dice setting combos will definitely set you apart from the rest of the shooters. Mahalos for sharing and dig da killa shirt!!! Aloha
Right on Roughtrim. Thanks for liking my video. You are right, you need to be good at all those that you mentioned to be "an all star" dice controller. It takes time and doesn't come overnight.
Great video Bryan . Enjoy all your videos very much, and I'm gonna follow you guys to see how it all adds up. Long time craps player, I'm 66 and been to Vegas many times. Also Atlantic City, Australia, Europe , and numerous cruise ships. I can't claim to be a lucky shooter, although I did have a 65 min roll at the old Vegas Club back in the day. Also was at the first one hour roll ever at the Main Street station when a elder Japanese man from Hawaii rolled for an hour and twenty. We can all claim our share of winning and losing trips. Win or lose , no one has more fun than me, but I have to admit to losing more than winning over the years. I have my doubts as to whether we can affect the outcome by setting the dice. Still, if I see you guys at the casino, I hope I can join in with your shoot. The odds at the craps table can be the best bet in the casino and if we can at least nudge them a bit in our favor that might give us a fighting chance in the long run. Good luck.
Really really appreciate the tips on moving between the sets quickly. I practice speed setting all the time and that's a great nugget.. Now, have to give you some grief about trying to hurt the "don't betters" ... It's kinda BS to try and cost a fellow player money. And most of us don't betters aren't purely rooting against you. Most of play in a way that we make BANK while you're hitting numbers but are protected from the eventual 7. I love a 30 roll as much as anyone, and have a little bit of a safety net. We're all in it together. Some of us just do different math and work out betting strategies to protect our bankroll. It's especially important for those of us (like myself) that are still working on dialing in our dice setting. Hedging allows for live practice. Show the love ... Mahalo!
I agree with both of you .I play the DP more often these days. And when I am the shooter I will line up the back wall inside with say $66 across or maybe just the 5,6 + 8 place bets off. This way I'm showing that I'm in it for the Long Haul with everyone else on the table. More camaraderie the better positive aura. Good luck John and Brian. Kindest regards Dan🎲🎲👍
Still trying to perfect my technique, after a few years I have a nice set up at home to practice with and use casino grade dice, when experimenting with different sets there is certainly a pattern to how the dice behave with each set, that being said i recently tracked and recorded 700 rolls using the same set and it yields 5,6,8,9 being the most frequent numbers and of course the 7 leads the group every time with the 6 and 8 close behind, it is truly amazing.........
I've been playing for over 40 years and it never ceases to amaze me when shooters have a 'system' in setting up the die before they throw. It's basically like a baseball hitter and their superstitions. My philosophy is grab 'em & toss 'em! 7 is always the odds on favorite for coming up no matter how you do it, that's just the math probabilities at work!
@@futures.scalper.808 Are you seriously trying to compare throwing a fucking knife to tossing some dice?! Really? Do you know NOTHING about math and probabilities?!! AT ALL?! A fucking year old can be just as hot a 'shooter' as anyone 'setting the dice'. FACT! Each number on each die has a 1 in 6 chance of coming up, no matter HOW you throw it so it bounces off the back wall. When you put two dice in play, you have a 2.7% chance of the die coming up how you "set them". Two Point Seven Percent. FFS.
Sucks me and my dad ran into these guys and I got them a good roll. 21. My dad is a way better dice setter then me but kept getting double pitch on the hard way set. Next day he got a 34 then a 40 at the freemont has the hat to prove it. My dad knew them. They were super cool guys in real life as well. Love the content.
Just want to let you know man thank you for putting yourself out there so we can learn how to shoot has took me a long ways up and downs but most up they have been working for I would love to spend time with you guys when you guys come to Kansas City or when there's a big tournament or when you guys near here let me know I want to share with you guys thank you so much man
In all my years, Ive only witnessed 1 dice setter that truly seemed to control the results (even then it wasnt a home run). Lots have tried- myself included, but I am finding huge variables in the tables themselves. While I had some luck at the Cromwell getting the dice to die quickly and not bounce too hard..the table at Gold Coast was like a trampoline. Any skill i had was completely negated by the lively table. You also have different size tables, and now even non-felt surfaces....i wont give up...but its a near impossible task.
Do you recommend practicing with two different colored dice so you know exactly what each dice is doing? I’m new to craps and just ordered my other colored dice. I have a notebook to write down each practice throw and results. Thanks for the great content!
@@HawaiiCrapsShooters I was watching your video this morning my wife is getting ready for school heard your roosters on the video she said what in the world is that I told her it was your roosters she loved it God bless …. My cat liked it also … Great video brother thank you !!!!!!
Mr. Money Shot,. HOW” are the dice supposed to rotate in the air? how fast or slow do the dice spin in the air before the dice hit the table? Or, Should the dice not spin hardly at all or should the dice float like a knuckle ball? Also, how hard should I be throwing the dice? Am I trying to barely touch the back wall? From Mr. Lava in Cali.
Haha. Chris. I’ve learned since that video that the Dont players are not there to take your money but are also playing against the house. Everyone has there own strategy. But now if he stacks his chips with a tower to make it hard for me then it’s game on. Lol
Dis was awesome 🎲 🎲 So when, where, what are you going to the casino again? Asking for a friend. Funny, I'm 0 for 6 watching, waiting for that long rolling roller for his next turn to bet my house, which is minimum bet they would roll a 7 on the second roll not winning one rill.
waddup HCS love the vids -- what are your thoughts on flying V at the end of the table? I use the flying V, but not sure where on the table is optimal to shoot
@@HawaiiCrapsShooters thank you for the response and I try to imagine this and forgive my being technical is there a way to explain. Are you saying the moment the dice are released they are either on axis or off axis and if so it would be neat to see a slow motion video on how this looks , also I don’t know if you have the ability to see where your viewers are from so to let you know I am in Indiana Thanks for reading and have a great day
The most important tip you gave in this video is "Keep it simple stupid" (KISS)......I de-complicate all motions and elements of my throw. Every unnecessary motion adds a variable.......Variables are your enemy.
Been experimenting with good results 4,6 2v(upside down) facing you .. learned it from Wylfrid Sy’s Feng Shui guide to craps.. I’m thinking about switching to that set permanent because I almost always 7 out on 1,6. With the before mentioned set there is no possible 7 combination showing 1.6 is replaced by 4,6 In general this is a heavy 4,10 set. Love the vid keep it up!
Mr. Money Shot, this seems like a major farse. best way to prove, is you have you and your crew on one table, the same number of random friends on another table, do a couple rounds, and see what the out-come of dice thrown was. if you can prove dice setting work in this way, you would be a MASTER! Mr. Master Money Shot, that is!
I like to roll at around 6 am in the morning because that's usually when the drunkards are gone home and the table is pretty dead. If I cannot get up in time then 10 am is my next time slot. That's when they open a new table and I can easily slide into my spot, stick left. My next time slot would be around 6 pm. Tables are kinda busy but usually everyone is out to dinner. I don't like to shoot after 9 pm because tables get crazy. I like to shoot on the slow days too, Sunday to Thursday.
@@HawaiiCrapsShootersVery detailed answer, thank you for taking the time. I like the very early mornings too but I wasn't sure how the rest of the day went. I’m also not a fan of late evenings, I prefer a less crowded table so that stick right is available.
The casino told me I have to hit the Spikes first and then the dice should hit the table next... Is the casino messing with me? Is that a rule at the casino?
@@HawaiiCrapsShooters I guess they saw me setting the dice 🎲 and kept winning. That's when they said it and after that I started losing. So I left and went home.
just came back from the casino and wanted to implement your information. Today we didn't make money but I now see why I' 7-out in just a few rolls. Damn 6-1 combo keeps killing me. How/Where are the dice supposed to land, if and only when I can stop double pitching? Ideally what's the landing supposed to look like, 3/3 or 4/4 depending on what combo is on top, when it lands on the table? in a perfect world, would you like to see both dice 3/3 or 4/4 up and hitting the table with the opposite numbers? Landing the pairs on the felt all the time? Mahaloz for your time and mana'o
Remember the best you can get with dice setting ( Yes the best) is 3 ways for the 6 &8 and two ways for the seven, ( 3/2) and two ways for the 4,5,9,&10 and two ways for the seven. It is a 50/50 bet a coin flip. The Best odds ( yes the best odds) is when you set the dice from the Don't side. Now the odds are 4/1 and 4/0 in YOUR favor. Less than 2% of dice setters know or use these sets. We love ( yes love) throwing on the Don't side when the table is cold or choppy. Good Luck at the tables!!
Which dice set and grip would you use to avoid the 10 specifically? For example if you were laying on the 10 and you wanted to make sure to dodge it for a few tosses
I would bet the Hard 10 and set hardways. Can’t get an easy 10 with the sixes on the side unless your dice goes off axis but still it needs to line up with the 4
I like the bit about feting the dark side players. It annoys me for people to presume on a persons first roll at the table. I’ll wait and see how a player tosses, before I bet. I don’t automatically play the dont. Keep up the good work
Hey, this is Sal and Stephanie from the table you played tonight. Please let us know if you guys hit the tables tomorrow night? Lol even if it’s at a different casino, we will follow you guys. :)

Good luck.
Aloha Isaac. Yes as you can see we love to have fun too. We would love to roll with you. Hopefully we meet up soon in Vegas
Aloha HCS this Shirley Fuji's mom I watch both you and Craps Hawaii. Thanks for watching out for my son hahaha ha Aloha
Thanks Shirley for watching. Dwayne is a great friend.
Very good refresher video. What casinos still frowned on setting?
Vegas none
Mahalo!
Thanks John. I appreciate your comment and since that video I have changed my opinion on the Donts and have a new appreciation for that style of play.
Brah, been watching your content for a lil over a year, mahalo!
Thank you for watching.
6:34 makes soo much sense I could feel my grip move last second
👍
Great stuff! Now if I can figure out how to practice throwing.
Thank you for watching.
That’s great to hear. Your a serious and dedicated shooter. You’re on the right track and will do well majority of the time on the real table.
Lol 😂
Great video. Thank you for sharing
Kevin Stout - Turtles Midnight Craps Thanks Kevin. Hope it helps you with your craps game.
Aloha my braddah. Do you have a video on how to throw the dice 🎲?
Howzit Frederick. I don’t but I just have my own live practices.
Tried to keep quiet, but great stuff man . Got this 🤙
Thank you Dusty for your support.
Thanks Greg. What ever works for someone is all good.
So in a game of ring toss or knife throwing, you would just whip the ring or knife any old way? Wouldn't work now would it?
@@futures.scalper.808 WTF kind of comparison is that? Are you throwing the knife at the back wall and letting it bounce off?!
FFS.
Agreed Greg !!! Otherwise we would " dice control " ALL the casinos into bankruptcy !
LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR EXPLANATION OF ALL THE DICE SETS
Thank you Scott. 👍
Nice rolls.
We leave on the November 5th hopefully u guys going be around 🤙🏾🤙🏾

Welcome Rob. Thanks for subscribing. Stay tuned for more.
Just want to let you know man thank you for putting yourself out there so we can learn how to shoot has took me a long ways up and downs but most up they have been working for I would love to spend time with you guys when you guys come to Kansas City or when there's a big tournament or when you guys near here let me know I want to share with you guys thank you so much man
You're welcome. I hope we can come down to Kansas City in the future.
Can you make a video showing how you through the dice?
I don’t teach dice control
Can we get a video on gripping the dice? How tight you grip them and the best way to keep them together so your rotation can stay consistent etc etc
Hi Michael. Sure can. I’ll be working on it. Stay tuned.
How about doing the all seven set on the come out roll and lay the 4 and 10 so you can make more money off the 7?
That’s a possibility
In all my years, Ive only witnessed 1 dice setter that truly seemed to control the results (even then it wasnt a home run). Lots have tried- myself included, but I am finding huge variables in the tables themselves. While I had some luck at the Cromwell getting the dice to die quickly and not bounce too hard..the table at Gold Coast was like a trampoline. Any skill i had was completely negated by the lively table. You also have different size tables, and now even non-felt surfaces....i wont give up...but its a near impossible task.
It's the challenge that we love. Just like golfing. All courses are different but many still go to the driving range. LOL
Do you have any videos on controlled throwing?
Sorry No. only dice setting. We have a preview of a class from Howard Rock And Roller on our playlist
Do you recommend practicing with two different colored dice so you know exactly what each dice is doing? I’m new to craps and just ordered my other colored dice. I have a notebook to write down each practice throw and results.
Thanks for the great content!
Yes, in the beginning then after you should train your eyes to watch the dice.
greatly appreciate the tips. Hope to get better and consistent!4
You’re welcome.
Awesome 😎 thanks I will try the 6/1 6/1 👍👍👍
May the dice be nice
I lay bets. Please let me know if All seven set is the best set to roll 7 ?
All depends on your own personal toss
You know, one of these days, you HAVE to show us your chickens!
One day I will. LOL
@@HawaiiCrapsShooters I was watching your video this morning my wife is getting ready for school heard your roosters on the video she said what in the world is that I told her it was your roosters she loved it God bless …. My cat liked it also … Great video brother thank you !!!!!!
@@charlieperkins583 haha. Waking up to chickens is the Hawaii way.
either they are hungry or get excited about dice setting 🤔
From the hardway set I can get the 3 v or the 2 v with just one turn of the left dice the 2 v and 3 v will be hidden on the bottom
That’s what I show on the video. 👍
It all depends on the table’s reaction. You always want to just kiss the back wall
How fast or slow do the dice spin in the air or should the dice not spin at all?
@@travinlui5845 3/4 to full rotation is good.
Can you do a video on technique of actually throwing the dice to control it so it doesn’t double pitch
Sorry I don’t teach technique
I love that you got them negative 7 players off your table.
Would loved to have seen it.
Haha. Chris. I’ve learned since that video that the Dont players are not there to take your money but are also playing against the house. Everyone has there own strategy. But now if he stacks his chips with a tower to make it hard for me then it’s game on. Lol
Money Shot.....where can I get that Hardway Parlay shirt you have on in this video? I love it and want it.
I don’t think they made it but go to www.craps.couture.com for more craps shirts
Thanks so much for the tips! 👍
You’re welcome.
Not sure yet
@@HawaiiCrapsShooters could you let me know so I could ride yo rolls 😃. I just play the pass line, 6 and 8
Excellent Video ! Thanks ❤💯
Thank you for watching.
For the Flying V 3, does it matter if the hard four or 3 are on top facing player?
It doesn’t matter
Thanks for the info, and cool shirt, did you have those made? I’d like to get one too? Keep the vids coming. Aloha
Alan Ginoza One of my guys gave this shirt to me. Going to have them available soon to my viewers.
Hi Alan. You can get Hawaii Craps Shooter Gear at HCS store.com
Outstanding demonstration!🥃
Glad you liked it!
waddup HCS love the vids -- what are your thoughts on flying V at the end of the table? I use the flying V, but not sure where on the table is optimal to shoot
You will need to practice and find out what results you get for your own throw.
At what point during the roll does the dice turn, pitch ,? Is it in the air ,when it lands , final resting place or any of the above?
Release
@@HawaiiCrapsShooters thank you for the response and I try to imagine this and forgive my being technical is there a way to explain. Are you saying the moment the dice are released they are either on axis or off axis and if so it would be neat to see a slow motion video on how this looks , also I don’t know if you have the ability to see where your viewers are from so to let you know I am in Indiana
Thanks for reading and have a great day
The most important tip you gave in this video is "Keep it simple stupid" (KISS)......I de-complicate all motions and elements of my throw. Every unnecessary motion adds a variable.......Variables are your enemy.
Thanks T
Like the video. I am a hard way setter but will try the 3v and the 2v set to see if I can do better. Thanks from Denver.
Morten Lobben Try it out. It may be good or bad. Only you would know.
Love your vids man, I wanna try the quarter pounder with ez next time I go to the casino, what is the best dice set for that?
Just be careful. It is a big initial investment.
Do you do classes? If so, how much? Mahalo.
Thinking of doing classes this year. Working to put it all together.
Where did you get that layout made? Link please! I need to replace mine with one that has All Tall Small

Love the video do you have any videos on betting and how to bet
Yes. Go to my play list on betting strategies
Are you serious?
@@jimklemens5018 Yes I am.
@@HawaiiCrapsShooters My question was directed at Bee Chey.
Tha Bullish Bulldog Thanks for liking the video.
That would be a great experiment.
I’m a hard ways setter my self any advice on stopping the dice from yawing because a lot of my seven outs are of the 1-6 variety
Keep your dice parallel to the table by locking your wrist.
Hey Money Shot, I was wondering do you have a particular time of day/night preference when shooting dice in the casinos? And if so why?
How do you set the dice to roll a 12 or 2 so you can hit within 10 to 15 rolls
I would use the 6/1 6/1
Do you guys have meetups on Oahu? (When Covid isn’t a thing, that is?)
We haven’t thought about that yet. If we have enough request maybe we will.
@@HawaiiCrapsShooters It would be very cool to have gentlemen's games, for fun, of course!
@@BTLwithTony Yup. We do have those sometimes.
The casino told me I have to hit the Spikes first and then the dice should hit the table next...
Is the casino messing with me?
Is that a rule at the casino?
That is not true.
If the dice are hitting any pairs except the 2 or the 12 then your dice are reacting how it supposed too.
The best is when everyone says let’s go SHOOTER☘️🤣
Lol
Thanks Garrison.
As a controlled thrower, the table is never cold or choppy,it's a matter of how well your gonna throw the dice, just saying!
@@roadrunner381 Yup I agree.
@@roadrunner381 Never cold??? PSO, One and out, two and out. What do you call that?? The table is cold.
Which dice set and grip would you use to avoid the 10 specifically? For example if you were laying on the 10 and you wanted to make sure to dodge it for a few tosses
I would bet the Hard 10 and set hardways. Can’t get an easy 10 with the sixes on the side unless your dice goes off axis but still it needs to line up with the 4
If you had a Lay bet on the 10, you would want to use the any 7 set.
Any issues with 6’s up/ 8-hard back?
I have been doing this the last few weeks?
You mean 6/3 6/3?
Whats the best set for the field
Straight Sixes 6/2, 6/2
I like the bit about feting the dark side players. It annoys me for people to presume on a persons first roll at the table. I’ll wait and see how a player tosses, before I bet. I don’t automatically play the dont. Keep up the good work
Thank you
I hope your smart enough to realize that the way a person chooses to bet THEIR own money doesn't change the dice?@@HawaiiCrapsShooters
