We bought this same washer in July 2020. It does the same thing. It shakes, but it works. As long as no harm is being done to the machine we can tolerate the shaking. I wedged styrofoam on the sides to minimize shaking. Not too bad, but not as good as the 20-year old $300 Roper we had, which, by the way, is made by Whirlpool. But they're difficult, if not impossible to find in 2020.
This is helpful. I just had one delivered and washed my first load. I'm glad to hear from you and others that all these sounds are normal for this machine. Someday we'll laugh at how primitive these were as the state of the art machines of our day :)
Yeah, I ended returning mine because it vibrated too much and was concerned with my downstairs neighbors. Exchanged for a Samsung front loader washer and drier. Much quieter. Good luck!
Sorry, I wasnt able to warn you in advance. This is not normal. There is a problem in the drive system on this particiluar machine. Most of the drive is platic gears and such. Mine , after only year and half, splines on transmission shaft all worn out from water getting in. Also, the main hub on these is platic now and it strips easily especially with towels. I had to jb weld my drub and hub in place or pay 350.00 to fix it. Do not buy one of these agian. Sucks, they make maytag , kenmore and amana also. They all suck!
My Whirlpool WTW4800XQO top load washer makes the same noise when the water pump is operating completing the discharge spin cycle too. When the water level in the pump is low the noise level is more extreme, why I’ve checked the impellers and pump to see if it had an obstruction but found nothing? Can anyone possibly comment are the pump bearings going out if the were the case the noise would be present even when the water pump has water in it during operation too.Need some suggestions. JR
Mine did the same thing during the spin cycle. Im sure mine was leveled perfectly so the spin vibration is inherent to the (flawed) design. It gave up after 2 years, I had extended warranty so I got a full refund after it was deemed "uneconomical to fix". I have a Maytag now and it didn't shake like crazy during the spin cycle. I also have another machine which is 5 years old now and works like a charm, RCA 0.9 cu ft capacity for small loads. No bells and whistles, just old school washing machine which cleans everything that can fit into it.
That’s my same washer and mine sounds the same way i really like it such an amazing washer

Maytag Amana, Whirlpool and Ropers? I would stick with Samsung or GE.

That thing is really loud for someone to return, especially if the house is small or medium size
Is the washer shaking completely normal for a top loader?

When do you add fabric softener?
Mario Leyva it has a little compartment where you just add it before the wash.
SoCal Cycling where is this compartment
It doesn't have a compartment to add softener, the one that has is for the bleach.
I have the same washer and dryer
Dammmmm
Show me how to use this washer .
Eduardo Diaz sorry, returned it because of the noises. But not complicated to use. It’s all by dials.
This machine is sick.wash so slowly....like its on the last to die.
Eduardo Diaz it spin dry fast! Wash....smh stress you out
@@jcandrade are these late 2010s washers still available at retailers?
I want to see a full cycle with a full load please OK with a lid open
Thanks
They were returned. Besides it stops when you have the lid open.
@@jcandrade do just sounds ok
We have the same machine and I just hate it, it doesn't allow you to add the fabric softener. 😡
Get a brand new Whirlpool from 2021 or 2024
I bought a brand new one..
At least I won’t freak out.
I believe that noise is when its to packed (overload) load
Nope. That model does it when there are no items in it. Just the water.
People made it seem like this machine was extraordinarily loud. This is not that bad. I've had way louder machines. Goodness! Smh.
Kayshaneil if you live in a one bedroom condo it can be loud enough for me to return it. If you live in a larger home maybe not so much I suppose.
SoCal Cycling You're right about that! I didn't even think about that. I do have space so it probably wouldn't bother me at all.
Kinda quite
