      @@MrSW-rt4ts There are motors with brushes in them. These are the older style. The new one or better ones are brushs. Brushs were a major wear part of the motor. The brushs would wear out before the motor. So brushless motors are much much better. I would have to write a book to explain what brushs do. Just always get brushless motors. They are better.

    I still like where I started at about $30 with a Syma drone. Very manual. Made me appreciate GPS drones. Yes, I had to endure a few head bowed moments as it ended on a roof, not even mine. But that is a toy. Next I started with a Bugs 5W. 1st GPS drone for me and I fell in love. Then DJI got all my money. Your videos are the best!!!

    I’m a beginner and I can tell you EXACTLY what a person is looking for. Simply an easy to fly drone with a dedicated FPV headset that doesn’t need your phone, and it gives good video and can fly 2 or three miles and last out to get back. Simple as that.

      @@Gojirasu "Simple as that." Nope, you missed the primary consideration of most beginners. Cost. And when you put a $200 cap on the cost, then there aren't any which have a headset that doesn't need your phone. That headset with no phone requirement puts a $1,000 minimum price tag on it, that's just because of the cost of the headset, I have no idea if they even make them for drones. Anyway, it's never simple, that was my point. :)

    (Note: I read the description, as well as the comment made after posting.) I like the video, but I think it would have been a bit more beneficial if you could have focused on two or three "best of the best" beginner drones, and explained the pro's and con's of each. I get that you have detailed videos of each drone, and you wanted to give a wide selection, but for an overview video, I think it would have been more helpful to give a "glimpse" at some of the main contenders, with nods to some of the runners up. It's a bit daunting to see the amount of videos that are listed in the description.
    Just my opinion on the matter. I'm sure you have good reason for doing things the way you did them; just something to consider. I hope it didn't sound like I was being too negative. I really do appreciate the effort that you've put into this.

    I'd have to say the best beginner is Eachine E014 Windmill. Perfect for indoors, to learn and have something on those rainy days. Light, protected props, good FPV camera(720P), optical flow, and tons of app abilities. It's fast and stable. Light, so only outside on calm days. You might have to wait for a sale($20 shipped) but even at $35 it's well worth it. I've put it through quite a few tumbles and it still works great. 300mah built in battery charges in half an hour and runs for 5+ minutes with the optical flow turned off and recording to phone.

The ability to get a closeup view of trees should prove useful in finding the best location. No MJX MEW4-1 listed yet. Why pay $1,500 when a $300 drone will work just as well? for Canadians that are watching this, most of the drones listed on here need to be licensed, most are over 250 grams except for the SJRC Z5. Nice video

    I recently purchased the Holy Stone HS700D (approx. $250 US) and it's a really good drone for the price. The factory camera does 4K @ 30fps BUT if you want, you can get the gimbal for the HS700 for your GoPro or other similar action camera...just don't forget to grab a micro-USB to USB C type jumper.
    My question is...does anyone make 3 three bladed, screw on type props that will fit these drones? Would they even be worth the investment as far as generating extra thrust...maybe to eek out a little more flying time?

    Brilliant video Cap'n. Can I ask you whether a 801.11ac protocol will still work on a 4G phone? I would like the JJRC HERON X9 but cant currently afford to change my Samsung J6. Thanks again for your great videos.

      Any with brushless motors will fly in high winds. As for long flight time, probably the BUGS 3 PRO.

    I'm uncertain as to whether I said this before or not: the SJR/C F11 is identical (in all known aspects) to the Contixo F24. The only visible difference is the cellular telephone app: it is slightly different visually but conveys all of the data the same. I've been flying my Contixo F24 with the app made for the SJR/C F11 and have experienced no hiccoughs.

    Hi, which foldable drone around 200 usd would you say is best overall and especially for its video quality (not too much about its resolution, if it s 2k or 4k, but rather the image quality, how the final recording will come out - meaning also with a memory card slot)?
    What i have for now in mind is either the ZLRC Beast SG906 or the MJX Bugs 4W
    Many thanks!! :)

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  4 роки тому +2

      The video quality is similar on many of them if you don't fly on a windy day. On a windy day the HERON X9 would look better.

    Love your reviews, you are like a regular now on UA-cam, a part of the furniture - as big as like the BBC or ITV!!! I have had a few drone's, Twister Quattro x - crashed, Bayangtoys X16 - crashed, Bugs 3 mini - flew away.This can be a wastefull hobby but I love it. I am waiting on a new Bugs 6, looking into getting maybe a bugs 2 or new Quattro X or Hubsan hs501, or even SG906 "The beast" looks nice or JJPR Epic, which would you recommend?

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you! All those drones are similar in most ways so go with price, but always make certain that the drone has BRUSHLESS motors or else you may be buying a Toy.

    The best for begginers cheap and good at the same time for me right now is the parrot bebop...why? Cause that thing can withstand crashes like no other and price range from 120.00-150.00...that was my first one and at the begining i crash that thing into fences,walls,palm trees etc etc...it even withstood a crash from 500' like it was nothing while testing an app that overides the 400' parameter...i took it to high and the batt dies still 500' above...just a small crack on the batt case...no props broken no legs nothing...just switch the batterie and flew again like new.

    Hi, I just thought I'd stop watching your video for a moment to get on my phone and add a comment. You know I'm just realizing after months of viewing UA-cam on my Smart TV that you guys may not be as aware of my type of person as you may want to be. I watch UA-cam on my Smart TV not my phone and you can't really see the links. Now if I was at the point where I wanted to buy a drone I definitely take the time to log on to my phone and go through your link. I think what you guys do is tremendous sharing your knowledge and you deserve the support that clicking on links may give you. I'm simply viewing videos to try to learn about amateur and entry level drones and what their average price range may be are part of the statistics that I'm interested in. But you don't really talk about that much when you're going through, so usually as a person who watches UA-cam on smart TV I would just skip your video and move on to the next one. This time I'm simply leaving a comment to let you know what kind of you or I am and I fully intend to like your video and possibly even subscribe. But as a person who mainly watches UA-cam on Smart TV I would be interested in you talking about price points more, or price averages. I just thought I'd let you know instead of just clicking to the next video. Thank you kindly
