I knew I wasnt the only one who got overly attached to feeders I had a really tiny comet I named her penny and I sent her off to my cousins pond
@@user7516 oh he's a complete dummy. He is a great hunter though. Sometimes I wonder if he does it for sport... I usually get him the medium comets and maybe some minnows and he gets so excited when I float the feeder bag! He will just stare at it.

Also make sure to add zero filtration or bubbling system!! They need to sit in stagnant water that is constantly dirty and has zero added oxygen to it to ensure that healthy dead look we all love to see in our fish.

also me: I love them
Lots of Ranchu actually never develop wen actually. It's super strange but it's mostly a large protein diet that makes them grow it. Just a little fun fact for ya! I also love them too, I got 2 myself without any wen at the moment but maybe they'll grow some soon if I start buying some shrimp or blood worms. :)
Sand is a good substrate to use for goldfish. They like to forage through it and it's good place for beneficial bacteria to grow.
Plans for the future: indoor pond, field for a horse, planted species tank........ the tank is I’ll end up costing more then the field as I can already see the number of tanks going up.

I see things like this wanting to set one up, and then I realise that every single wall plug in my room has several extension leads plugged into them, in order to run my 5 tanks. And if I put one more plug in there my house will blow up

Awesome, the mini pond looks great. Fancy goldfish aren't my taste, I like common and commet type goldfish but these two have really hit the jackpot with you. They are lucky to go to such a good home. 👍

I had a housemate set up a pond in a kiddie pool. Stocked it with a few shubunkin, a big pleco, and a ton of plants then he cut off some bamboo from the backyard and used it as a little trough to make a waterfall. I loved chilling in the garage with that pond.
Yessss. It looks great! I would recommend some sand though just to give them something to forage through.

I'm glad you're getting into goldfish. I've been keeping them for years now and honestly I get mine second hand from people who didn't expect a goldfish to live for then 6 months.

Lovely little indoor pond, I would use any form of wood if you own fancy goldfish. They are notoriously clumsy and good get stuck or punctured bye it. I use just sand, pebbles, and scatter gravel in my goldfish indoor setup.

Reminds me of the container ponds I saw in Japan! Loads of people in Japan have little container gardens on the pavement outside their home or shop, and it's common to see mini container ponds too. This is lovely.

I’ve built three ponds during COVID and just got into tanks to assist the frog population which is legal in Australia if released to the same spot. I watched you a lot for inspo for the tanks (a tadpole tank, fry tank nd propagate tank) and I hope once the plants that died are replaced to send you a pic! Onya mate, love the indoor pond!

It's not ideal, he did change it to a sponefilter so things didn't go wrong with the Aquaclear

What kind of substrate did you use for the pond?

I made one of these for my betta and she loved it so much!!! A few people on fb angry faced it but it was beautiful and she loved the natural cover. She’s back in an aqua scape tank tank now but I saw the idea on another UA-cam video so I wanted to try it. Maybe ill try and send you a picture. Mine was about 8 gallons. Anyone who ever goes to Thailand and sees where they catch these better fish would know why and how much they would love a pond like this.

tbh, I don't think it's a good idea. I switched it out with as sponge filter.

What’s a pathos plant and how do you take care of one? Do you grow it in soil and then put trimming in your fish tank???
a pothos plant is a variety of houseplant that's considered very easy to grow and keep. it can be grown in soil, or with its roots in water.

Yes ma’am but to limited space and maintenance, the betta(The Blob) is chilling in a temporary 5 gallon. Until I have enough saved up for all the proper supplies and equipment needed
