    Dr.Sten Ekberg. A message of gratitude and good wishes to you and your family this Christmas time. I am writing this Two stone lighter (16>14)since watching your explanations in April 2024 about insulin levels and intermittent fasting. There were no crazy two hour gym sessions or ten mile runs involved just nice walks with the dog. Thank you Sir.

    Man, you are a good teacher.
    I love your slow, nuanced, and methodical approach to your subject matter. It is always accurate, understandable, and comprehensible, and I love your visual format that augments the subject matter - bravo Dr. Ekberg, bravo, and thank you for your enlightening and educational lessons! A great series.
    Lastly, your command of the lessons you teach is remarkable and enviable, I’m truly impressed! On behalf of your viewing audience, thank you for sharing your vast and intelligent science knowledge with us.
    And by the way, I am one of those people you mentioned who rarely get sick; I’ve always prided myself on my apparent extraordinary good health over the years. I’ve never taken it for granted. Something I heard a physical therapist say always stayed with me when it comes to exercise. "Motion is lotion". Meaning the movement of the joints and muscles keep them lubricated. I personally ride a bicycle just 5 miles 3 - 6 days a week. If weather prevents me from getting this movement of exercise, I quickly start to stiffen up so it really makes a difference. At 66 I hope I can do this well into the future. It also helps me maintain a better sense of balance.

    Nicely explained Dr.Sten Ekberg, I do understand those;
    - Explaining importance of getting sun light from sunrise/sunset avoiding blue light
    - Importance of meditation
    - Improving nervous system via breathing, reducing stress
    - And ofc importance of what you put into your body can significantly impact your reality
    but I am curious about how sexual activity (releasing our "creative atoms" from the body) affects our immune system and body?
    What happens to the immune system afterward?

    I've been critical of Dr Ekberg in the past but I think this is actually a great, simple, video to get people to understand how to live a healthier, longer life.
    I'm glad that he now clarifies that a carnivore diet isn't the solution long term, like fodmap, it's just a short term elimination diet.
    This video is simplistic but a great starting point - the part on processed foods & chemicals is certainly too simplistic, but I get this is an overview.
    I'd also call it something less like 'how to boost your immune system' and something more like 'how not to die earlier than you should' or 'how to not make yourself sick'. 90% of what he's said (with the exception of some meat) is what I've researched for over 30 years. Following it will drastically reduce your chances of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, organ damage, Alzheimer's, and lots of mitochondrial dysfunction related illness.
    Unfortunately our entire system, especially healthcare & nutrition is broken, so it's a real challenge to avoid ingesting toxins from our food.
    The food industry is constantly lying to people and making them sick and big pharma just peddles pills to scoop up the mess, not heal people or prevent sickness in the first place.
    The one critical element missing from this is antibiotic residues, I think they are becoming a very very dangerous issue related to immunity and early but preventable death. Residues that are prevalent in meat, especially intensively farmed meat like salmon, pork, beef and chicken. I worked in antibiotic residue testing for maff & DEFRA and haven't eaten any of them for 15 years. Mainly because the testing results were alarming and now they are all but abandoned in the UK & EU. They never even existed in many other places! If you can't afford certified organic avoid them all as a priority.
    Constant low dose antibiotics could be contributing to millions of peoples premature death and it's hardly mentioned.
    I'll get push back on that last comment but I worked in that specialism for years so if you don't like it just ignore me and roll the dice on it.

      How not to make yourself sick cracked me up, but it is exactly what eating SAD is doing. In addition to the antibiotics in our water supplies, there are hormones and other medications like psychiatric meds that do not get eliminated. High end water filters are mandatory. Thank you for such a thorough and thoughtful post.

      Most people that can’t see the amazing results and sustainability of eating all animal protein with its dietary fibre are somewhat addicted to carbs and the notion of having variety of foods.. (eating has become more for pleasure and excitement than for nutrition these days). It’s shocking when these people who say carnivore or simply eating high protein and fat diet is extreme and yet will happily eat the SAD and call that healthy

    As always, Dr. Ekberg presents a complex subject in a simple and truthful manner so it is easily understood. For that talent, all of your videos are exceedingly helpful to everyone. Everyone has an opinion, right or wrong. Aroma therapy, in my opinion, should be of "good" smells. Your sense of smell triggers memories. Spices may remind you of your grandmother's apple pie, for example. Eucalyptus and Lavender are strong smells; in particular, I hate the smell of eucalyptus even through it is "popular" now. You will not relax if you are smelling something that is revolting to you, even though other people "love" it. Smells are very personal. Choose carefully.

    • @Mike-ib6pd
      @Mike-ib6pd 9 днів тому +1

      But what do you do now?
      2 months is ok for a reset or elimination but it's what you do medium to long term that matters.
      E.g. don't eat beef & salt for 5 years straight, unless you're trying to get bowel cancer for a bet.
      Our bodies are amazing at coping with some nutritional deficiency short term, but not for years.
      Too many people are confusing the positive effects of stopping their awful previous diets and the effects of the diet they stopped it with.
      Carnivore diet fans aren't killing themselves quickly but they aren't on a healthy and complete diet, even Dr Stenberg would say don't do it long term, and he's been a carnivore fan in the past.

    Hi there. I just discovered you and I'm SO happy I did. I am in a constant struggle with my weight and after learning from your videos, the signs and symptoms of insulin resistance are all there. I plan on decreasing sugar but I have 2 concerns that I need advice on. Since sugar is a drug, how do you combat withdrawals? Cravings? And how do you get around living with someone who can eat anything and everything they want and LOSE weight??? Have you made any videos about this already? I have tried the keto diet but didn't really understand the science. Watching your videos help SO MUCH...but I am so scared I'm going to fail again. The sugar addiction is strong. 😢

    At 2617 you talk about putting diffusers in your house that put out a pleasant odor of flowers. The oils that are used in these diffusers, especially the ones that are sold in supermarkets and other stores, often use factory made chemicals that are foreign to the human body and can cause harm to the lungs. Otherwise, your videos give out excellent health advice.

    Great video, again.
    My diet and routine is exactly as suggested in the video, yet this December has been horrible. I got one new flu and cold every couple of weeks, probably from the gym and airline trips. Luckily I seem to fight them quickly and after 2,3 days I'm back to normal.
    I can't imagine these are regular, natural viruses and not manufactured in labs.
