Yes, training makes all the difference. My terrier was unprovoked attacked by a white shepherd who ran a hundred metres to attack while the owner stood by a watched.😟my dog survived by was lucky just missed his eye and jugular!
Plus it’s clear this dog was bred by good breeders as well. While good training CAN overcome the vast majority of behavior issues caused by bad breeding it’s still typically noticeable in stressful or uncomfortable situations like at the groomers…especially the first groom at/by a new groomer. And this dog showed ZERO signs of any behavior issues that have been addressed thru training…thus was almost certainly well bred! Which just sets them up for success from the start behaviorally & of course massively affects their health. Making SURE the German Shepard you purchase comes from a really good breeder is VERY important! As German Shepards are sadly a breed which have become FREQUENTLY poorly & unethically bred in the US causing often severe behavior & health issues…similar to labs, golden retrievers, Rottweilers, boxers, all smooshed faced breeds & several other breeds that are or were very popular. *OF COURSE* even poorly & unethically bred dogs can be fantastic pets when rescued or if you mistakenly, unknowingly due to ignorance of the issue, were tricked by a bad breeder into purchasing a poorly bred dog! It often(not always)requires more work training & ends up typically requiring more vet care.

What a cute dog. 😍 I did'n know there were white German Shepherds. And since I'm from Germany I think I should have. Well, you learn something new every day. 😃
There are a number coat colors, but some are not considered "proper" in the Kennel Clubs: All black All white Sable Blue Liver There are more, and they're all beautiful. This is the first I've heard of temperament differences being tied to any coat color.
According to my deceased father in law (was German) in Germany they terminated any German shepherds that were not the classic color. That was many, many years ago.

Such soulful eyes, Vanessa. And the earlier comment about the not-so-happy look in the Happy Hoodie is just too funny. I am so glad you are there to brighten my day!
He is absolutely gorgeous! We had a White Shepherd so much like him. The greatest thing on four feet if you didn't mind living in a snow storm and with the loudest bark you could ever imagine.
Our dog Mika is a crossbred Retriever Canaan and she looks just the same, apart from her ears. She is a beauty too. We take her to a groomer every 6 weeks and she loves it.
Hands down he is my favorite groom you’ve done. He was soooo incredibly sweet, patient. Look at you/tipped his head to you when he wanted affection. Genuinely such a well behaved good mannered dog. His owner has clearly done such an amazing job loving him, and training him. I just wanna give him and big O hug 🥹😍 if the owners of Benson see this I love your dog so much! Hope to see more grooms of him! He would be such a wonderful therapy dog that visits kids in the hospital🤍
I was not prepared for that furnado! I have a high velocity dryer at home for my corgi and we definitely swirl up some corgi glitter in the bathroom after bath time, but nothing like this!
What a nice gentle dog. He was such a good boy! I liked him giving you a nose bump every minute or so. It was like HE was given you gentle affirmation for taking good care of him!

What a great dog, so tolerant of everything. I have never seen one so totally unbothered by having water sprayed in his face! Really enjoyed watching. 🤍
I got my Swiss Shepherd, Sven, 4 years ago, because I also read up about them and their temperaments. Being kind of on the "opposite spectrum" of German shepherds. I have bad anxiety, so I wanted him for emotional support. I took a lot of time researching breeds before I decided. We did puppy school, he was with me almost all the time, I was a teacher, so he came to school with me. Also went to my so's office, dog friendly. So plenty of human and animal socialization. I think I passed on my anxiety to him though unfortunately. He is an amazingly loving and smart velcro dog. Great with kids and all other animals. But he doesn't like new people and he is reactive. I saw dog behaviourists and everything, but he is who he is. He has 100% German Shepherd nature. I still love him to death, but he is so different to all other Swiss shepherds that I've met or see online. So now we are anxious together 😭 He also needs to be sedated to see a vet, gets aggressive. Having a reactive dog is so hard, because he is the most loving, caring, tolerant creature at home. As soon as we step out, different dog. Gets very protective
I can't help but agree with different coat types for dogs even within the same breed. I had twin sisters, labrador stafford mix... they both needed different brushes even though they were twin sisters. One would shed all year long, the other seemed to just lose 90% of her hair twice a year. It was always funny to me that even though they looked similar to everyone who saw them, their hair care routine was so vastly different from one another.

Any dog in a happy hoodie is seriously the most freaking adorable thing I've ever seen! :)
Yeah, they look at you and go “this is so undignified.” Cats on the other hand look like they are plotting evil revenge.
‼️‼️ Vanessa!!!! I used your Fluff-Off shampoo for my short haired kitty, followed by towel dry, equigroomer, and slicker brush. HOLY. COW. It was like a furnado in our bathroom. I had no idea he had so much fur needing to come off. 😂😂
What a well behaved and stunning boy, he deserves all the treats ❤
What a cute dog. 😍
I did'n know there were white German Shepherds. And since I'm from Germany I think I should have.
Well, you learn something new every day. 😃
Man kennt sie bei uns auch als Schweizer Schäferhunde
There are a number coat colors, but some are not considered "proper" in the Kennel Clubs:
All black
All white
Sable
Blue
Liver
There are more, and they're all beautiful. This is the first I've heard of temperament differences being tied to any coat color.
@@R.M.MacFruseems strange bit he sure proved it!😊
According to my deceased father in law (was German) in Germany they terminated any German shepherds that were not the classic color. That was many, many years ago.
@@filtersplz9319 According to my mother, that was also true in the AKC through at least the 1970's, iirc.
What a gorgeous dog! His white fur was gleaming after his groom. Such an angel, too. I would love to be there to love on him. So sweet!
What a good boy “client”, what a compassionate groomer!
Gosh it is so rare to see a real well behaved, laid back dog! I’m in love! Brilliant job Vanessa. 🤗🇦🇺
What a beautiful and well-behaved boy.
Now that is a sweetheart Boy, so gentile and patient.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I can't deal with how very cute Benson is
Edit: please bring back the bandana and the pet of the day if you can, those were always adorable too
Benson is an absolutely prefect boy, his pawrents must be very proud 💖
Beautiful groom of an incredibly beautiful dog! I've often wondered why you don't have someone to do the clean up, or at least some help with it. You certainly deserve it!
During the drying I could have sworn I heard sleigh bells and Christmas music!🌬️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️ That’s A LOT of fur!!! He’s absolutely gorgeous!
Such soulful eyes, Vanessa. And the earlier comment about the not-so-happy look in the Happy Hoodie is just too funny. I am so glad you are there to brighten my day!
Benson is SUCH a sweetheart! ❤ I don't think I have ever seen a better trained, well socialized dog in these videos.
I saw one of these. Pure white and had these striking deep blue eyes. He was gorgeous.
Swiss shepherds only have brown eyes; what you saw could've been a mix or a husky
@@HuskyEarth yeah it's possible.
Benson is beautiful and what a good boi he was! I love the burnt marshmallow color on the tips of his ears
He is absolutely gorgeous! We had a White Shepherd so much like him. The greatest thing on four feet if you didn't mind living in a snow storm and with the loudest bark you could ever imagine.
What a sweet, cooperative, gentle dog.
Our dog Mika is a crossbred Retriever Canaan and she looks just the same, apart from her ears.
She is a beauty too. We take her to a groomer every 6 weeks and she loves it.
It never cease to amaze me how much fur comes off of these animals.
Such a georgous, well behaved Shepard. ❤
Precious!! Beautiful too!💙💙💙💙💙💙
I was not prepared for that furnado! I have a high velocity dryer at home for my corgi and we definitely swirl up some corgi glitter in the bathroom after bath time, but nothing like this!
Beautiful pup! My grandfather had a white German Shepherd, named Vespa (my grandparents were born in Sicily).
0:07 Is it his second rodeo?
We need to know how many rodeos he’s been to
Yee Haw!! 🤠
What a nice gentle dog. He was such a good boy! I liked him giving you a nose bump every minute or so. It was like HE was given you gentle affirmation for taking good care of him!
What a sweet, well mannered, beautiful dog! ❤️
Such a beautiful and patient dog
He's a beautiful dog. So patient. Such intelligent eyes.
What an absolute awesome natured boy Benson is. He’s gorgeous. Not one sign of negativity. Love him♥️😍
Benson is, without a doubt, the most goodest boy. What a stunning and wonderful dog!!!!
Benson has done a fantastic job for his 1st grooming session. I have to give his owners credit for training Benson to be very well-behaved.
I thought she said this wasn't his first groom? Or maybe it's his first *professional* groom.
This isn't his first rodeo
He is so HANDSOME! What a good boy!
13:02 that looks like the inside of a cotton candy machine 😂🍬☁️
That’s a beautiful dog! And so well behaved. He did everything you asked him to do.
Benson is a gorgeous shepherd. He reminds me of my favorite direwolf on Game of Thrones, Ghost 🐺🤍
His coat reminds me of a flame point Siamese cat. What a gorgeous and well behaved gentleman (and his apologetic look when you told him he got fur everywhere!!). Thanks for sharing!!
I never seen a white German Shepherd 😯so beautiful
It’s a Swiss Shepherd
@@MarianneBjelke-ESYes, since 2011 that's the official name. The ancestors were simply GSD with white coats, later bread in the USA and Canada, then reimported to Europe.
Me either he is so good, gentle and handsome bless him ❤
@@fabiansaah6482 there are white german shepherds and swiss shepherds
They're different things
Nowadays at least
Loved the tanned tips of his ears. So beautiful!
Beautiful gentledog!
I own a white shepherd and she sheds all year . I love her so much she is great with kids and dogs but strangers beware if she don’t know you she will not let you in the house 19:10
I thought my rescue was just not socialized enough! I know that is part of it too but there’s small comfort in knowing I’m not alone
What a great dog, so tolerant of everything. I have never seen one so totally unbothered by having water sprayed in his face! Really enjoyed watching. 🤍
Lots of dogs love water. And the feeling of a shower/spray. That just isn't as engaging as dogs that are not enjoying the process.
I love his ears! He has such a funny little habit of folding the left one back!
A company mercial for " Spa day isn't so bad boys & girls...you feel grand!"💕💕
Wow what a patient dog! ❤ props to the owner and Vanessa he looks like the snow king. Absolutely beautiful ❤
What a majestic boy! ❤
What a sweet boy ❤
My dog's first dog friend was a White German Shepherd. She was a very relaxed and sweet girl.
That doggo is absolutely beautiful
Our white Shepherd, Huxley, is seriously the best family dog. Just as chill as Benson, and sheds SOOO much too
He is such a beauty and a very good boy for you
Wow, you couldn't ask for a better dog during grooming! What a good boy and he's beautiful ❤
Benson is such a handsome pupper. So regal in the way he stands there especially after you groomed him. Such a well behaved and good natured boy. Love GSDs. Another fantastic job Vanessa👌🏾💐
Beautiful dog. Love your channel and your grandparents. 😊
I love the way she says”don’t” shake and he doesn’t!!
