Love when you take on these really desperate cases where the doggo is in sore need of a grooming. You get to be the "bad Guy" and the owners the saviors in the end that arrive in shiny armour (a car) and rescue them from "torment".
Even though the grooming processes surely is stressful and painful for these doggos they will be so much better for it afterwards. Great community here that makes it possible for you to offer your services as a pet groomer free of charge and the guides on homegrooming is even more admirable.
LOVE YOUR PODCAST!
Hope someone’s told you that you popped up in The latest Dave Smith JRE episode! Last 5 minutes but it’s a great 3 hour conversation if you want a podcast to listen to
It's really unfortunate that you're the type of person who thinks it's acceptable to use the name "Karen" as an insult. Absolutely shameful.
I'm a dude with small hands & I know a glove that's too big & too thick when I see one & that glove is both!
& Why is the cuff sooo wide?
This is very clearly your show to operate how you like so this is just a suggestion...
Reach out to Mechanix gloves & see if they offer a bite proof or if they'll work with you in creating one with your logo on the back & Kickstarter (or the Canadian equivalent) to raise funds & attention to the project
That glove is designed to stop a 🦛 🦷 🦛 🦷 from piercing thru.
Vanessa:“I don’t think you know words…”
Sarah: I only know violence…
Neither does Vanessa with her double negatives. UGH. I'm an English teacher and this makes me sad
@@DaveyOH-ig6xvoh get past it. As an English teacher, you should know that people talk how their environment taught them. Stop policing the language, eh?
@@DaveyOH-ig6xv That's a little nitpicky considering that it's all unscripted and she has more important things to focus on while doing the groom. Yes, people consistently screwing up double negatives drives me up the wall too (this is squarely directed at my husband), but this seems like a context where less than great grammar should get a pass.
I would use things like double negatives in English when I speak because it's normal in my mother tongue. As long as people can understand what you're saying, I don't think it matters. Just don't use double negatives when writing an essay.
@@DaveyOH-ig6xv you're one of the reasons that I didn't bother becoming a teacher. Teens rightfully don't respect them much anymore.
Something so funny about her having such an adult woman name "no Sarah no biting" just makes me laugh. And she's so cute afterwards.
I'd have a lot of questions if I hear that without context!
Yea, the name doesn't fit her haha 😂
It makes me giggle extra because it's my sister's name 😅
It gives me Robin vibes from the hair saloon honestly.
As someone who is named Sarah, this was kind of trippy to watch 😂
This dog does a great impression of Hannibal Lector. Just keep her away from the fava beans.
😂🥰
Lecter not Lector.
@@redrumaxno one cares
Nobody is looking at the way you spelled his name… I mean really!
...and the chianti!
That dog was having Nunavut.
😂😂 good one
This needs to be pinned and I laughed way too hard at this.
Amazing ❤🎉
I'm from Nunavut lol
This should be a pinned comment!
Vanessa: aw, you little peanut head! 😍
Sarah: so you have chosen... death.
😂❤
Hi Vanessa, we truly appreciate your patience, perseverance and the tender care you provided to Sarah and all the other challenging but adorable fur-babies!❤️
Yaaa! three cheers for Sarah or should that be Vanessa.
Omg!! How's your baby Sarah doing with the sores on her paw? 🥺🥺❤️ Ang ganda yung aso mo 🥺❤️❤️
Amen to that! :)
FLUFF OFF KAREN😂😂😂😂😂😂
Round of applause for Vanessa pulling this off! And to this sweet little dragon's owners for making the trip to care for her!💖
The @#$ owwners let the poor dog get WAY too matted.
@geonerd Not their fault there isn't a groomer near them. Plus they knew she'd be feisty.
She also needs a diet. Too heavy
@@geonerd this thank you! And people call starting to clip our poodles at 3 weeks. This is whyand is also why poodle owners learn to groom because you can't just let a dog get this bad and the fact she was chill for the bath is almost worse cause wetting a dog with matting just tightens it!
Vanessa you are an expert groomer. You were consistent non stop communicating with Sarah and let her know she is getting groomed done deal. She looks so cute.❤ 👏
"no Sarah, no biting" is something I heard as a small child, I also don't like when someone makes me do a thing I don't want to do. I'd probably bite too.
I think i know who you were in you last reincarnation. 😉
My sister was always a biter as a kid and sometimes as an adult (she bit me on the knee while picking up her phone that she dropped on the floor during a performance we attended) and her name is also Sara
Sarah, no.
LOL that was me as a kid as well. I well recall mom shouting BG! NO Biting! when she noticed I was getting frustrated with an over rambunctious, rude neighbor boy... Of course I bit him.🤣
My daughter‘s a Sarah, as well! She only sometimes bites, but she does give out (mostly accidental) headbutts. 😂
Why are little dogs often so feisty? Sara here certainly sees herself as some gigantic Caucasian shepherd! 😅
It's all concentrated in small dogs.
It seems many owners think their cute, fluffy little doggo doesn't need to be properly trained or socialized because they're just so adorable and harmless. BTW I don't think a large dog that behaved that way would be considered "feisty", more like a menace
@@TifaTakeuchi 😂 Yup! My 16 year old, 5.5lb, toothless Chihuahua can be worse than Sara. Thank goodness we don't have to rely on groomers. He is short haired and fits in the kitchen sink for baths 😂
@@klaatubaradanikto6554yep totally agree.
@@klaatubaradanikto6554 That and bad/overbreeding that causes temperament issues.
The pigeon pop ups for her cooing 😂
Is that what it was, I thought it was something else. :)
While she was still pretty spicy at the end it wasn't nearly as bad as in the beginning which points to pain from matting triggering a lot of her aggressive behavior. Glad Venessa was able to get this old gal in a more clean and comfortable state!
Or it points to Vanessa's fortitude in convincing Sarah that snotty behavior won't work. Since she hasn't been groomed she needs to learn this.
Not just the matting, but nobody seems to be considering that this dog has never been to a groomer's before - so has likely never encountered electric clippers before. Those things make quite a racket, must be even louder to a dog's sensitive hearing, and she has no idea what they are. From her pov that thing is probably like some evil snake coming to get her, and you can see how frightened she is - she's snapping to protect herself, not to be mean. She was a lot calmer with the scissors, but still not too keen on face work, and she doesn't know that sudden movements near scissors are a bad idea! Vanessa handled it all really calmly and professionally.
She's really throwing paws.
Sarah's family traveled all the way from Nunavut to Ontario to have her groomed. That's amazing. Wishing them a safe journey when they return home. ❤
Totally, that's a VERY long way to go for a groom. Wow.
How many hours drive would that be?
Okay, now my curiosity is piqued. How would one get from Nunavut to Ontario? I tried to map from many locations in the province it and the only thing that comes up is flights. I’m guessing it’s really that remote and sparsely populated?
@@hinotefanatic I actually wonder that myself as well. they didn't need to do that on a small plane, did they? If so, yikes.
@@ByHerHandNot sure if this is answering your question, but one literally cannot drive to Nunavut from Ontario. There are no roads into Nunavut from elsewhere in Canada (there might eventually be). Most people fly in and out, and I would assume travel by water is also an option. As the crow flies, it's about 3000 km or 1800 miles from the Niagara region to Iqaluit.
Naughty little gremlin 😮
Yep someone must have fed her after midnight.
Hahaha, your comment caught me off guard, made me laugh hard!
@@JohnSmith-nl4zh LOL! ;)
at least she doesn't multiply when wet 😂😂
At least she doesn't seem to have arthritis yet by the way she was thrashing around.
Your patience and perseverance with the problem puppers is so admirable❤️❤️
She’s feisty…even in midair🤣🤣🤣
Aw she's just dangling there like a pinata 🤣
For the grooming courses: since they're a good resource for owners who can't afford professional grooming but also are a little expensive themselves (which is fair! i'm sure they are a lot of work and require a lot of expertise to provide) it might be nice to have, like, a pay it forward option? Where people can buy a course for someone else who needs it to redeem or something? idk just a thought
Sara: "I was happy...2 minutes before the start of this."🥴
I am sometimes gobsmacked by how much empathy you have for these critters, Vanessa. It's just wonderful to see how patient and understanding you are with them; you are ddamn near unflappable.
What a huge compliment to have someone come from such a remote location! And while you might not have been happy w/the results...I think her family was...and so was I bc she was adorable!!!
You are a no nonsense, kind and loving groomer You rock the Grooming World!
All I can say is you are a master of your profession the world needs more people like you
Sara looks absolutely adorable after her groom. She must feel amazing!
"Those who are hardest to love need it the most" ....Lil Sarah is so lucky to have you as a groomer who will push through all her anxiety with compassion as well as as safety. You are a diamond in a rhinestone world!
You are truly an angel for these 'spicy' animals. Personally I think a course in how to raise and handle dogs should be mandatory for owners it is good there are persistent groomers like you.
Absolutely!! All breeds!!💯💯 Vanessa is wonderful 💯❤️🫶🏻
"It's okay....it's okay...." Speak for yourself lady! This is so not okay! 😂
I'm so glad Sara had you for a groomer. Your disposition is beautiful ❤️🎉
The pigeon comparison is gold!
It's always the smallest one that's fiercest
She looked so beautiful after her groom! Thank you for being so patient with her! ❤
She was certainly a test of quick reflexes! The bandana was hilarious!!! Oh my goodness, you were so kind and patient with her! You are such a beautiful combination of knowledge, experience, and talent!
"I think the fluff not!" episodes, gotta love' em!
Poor little mite, I do appreciate how you understand where the fear / aggression stems from and are so gentle but firm.
Poor Sara is getting old, maybe stiff / sore joints, definitely sore paws, plus the matting hurts.
Sarah got sent to air jail for her crimes
The pigeon put me over the edge when she was making that noise perfect description 🤭
Sara suspended. Michael Jackson would be jealous of her Moonwalk.
That would have been a two person groom for safety. You're extremely brave! I know I have scars to show the times I wasn't fast enough to get out of the way!
Sara said this is in fact not her definition of okay.
You are very brave! Sara was not a fan of grooming at all! So glad you both survived!
Oooo you got a mop on a leash! 😂🥰 Your patience is so admirable. Thank you for all you do for animals. 🙏
A 7 minutes main channel video? You spoil us Vanessa ❤
You are a Saint to deal with the difficulties of some dogs, thank you so much, I know pupper feels so much better.
this world really is lucky to have you in it ❤ your patience and compassion is world class
Poor Sara. She’s in the groomer’s helper, looking like “I’ll get even with you for this, Vanessa!”🐶
Yeah I'm pretty sure she was just super scared of the razor and surprisingly not the dryer or the water. Poor girl. As usual, Vanessa is a miracle worker. ❤
She was fairly matted so it could have been pain too, matts are super painful and maybe that's why she was calmer after they were gone.
The joy in the voices of Sarah's nonfur parents made tears swell up in my eyes
I can't believe how wide the smile on my face is when I watch these videos
That little spitfire turned out looking so darling. You were so amazing with her. You really are unbelievably talented and caring 🌺💜🌺💜🌺💜🌺
Vanessa, GIRL, YOU HAVE THE "PATIENCE OF A SAINT"!!!! If that dog tried to bite me, ohhhhhh NOOOOOOO!!!!
“I’ll leave you a present in the yard” lol
It’s a tip!
i love near the end when you say "it's not that bad!" because i ALWAYS say that when im trying to trim my cat's claws 😆 like girl it doesn't hurt, it isnt even uncomfortable... its just really not as bad as theyre making it out to be 😆
how do you know it is not uncomfortable? Were you ever a cat to know what it is like from its perspective?
Bro i only read "Dog BITES groomer | gets hung" and panicked so hard
Why? Do you really think a popular dog grooming channel would post a video about killing a dog? Really?
i mean theres the thumbnail
I am amazed by Vanessa’s patience… having to do this all day long with animals that get aggressive for a groom like this… truly a professional with the personality for the job! I’d get fed up of being bitten at within the first 5 min even with the muzzle!
100% agree!
I am a senior dog citizen and I do not appreciate any of this...LOL
You are so, so kind and patient to these doggos. Really well done! Your level of understanding and how you approach each case in different ways, making them as comfortable as possible for their grooming, is really incredible.
Poor Baby is terrified. Thank you for being so gentle with her.
So cute and WoW, they came from Nunavut which isn't exactly the Niagara Region. Loved the spiciness, it makes for a fun video, as long as Vanessa isn't harmed.
The pigeon popping up had me giggling 😂
One of your more lively grooms, however it turned out very well. The puppy looks so much better. Going into summer it will enjoy the "cool" look.
They traveled from Nunavut? Seems like Sarah was having Nunavut!
😂
Earliest I've ever been. What a sassy miss
The "Harness of humiliation" is my new favorite word
That, and "Happy Hoody" & "Murder Mittens".
You have such a lot of patience with this little hellion
Can't believe how patient you are!! I could never do this job ❤ Love from South Africa
Seeing the parents at pick up warms my heart every time ❤

It is always the SMALL dogs.
I think Miss Sara takes the award for the fastest reaction 😆. She doesn’t mess around. Haha
When I saw those pigeons I laughed so hard 😂
Love how kind & loving you are to pups. I will never grow tired of watching you groom these babies. I have a lil Yorky. He has had ; different groomer’s the last one is the only one that hasn’t cut him. He is scared because he has been cut since a tiny baby. He is 1 yr now🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
So cute although she wasn’t having it.😂
Your videos are wonderful, and I absolutely love the creativity of the titles given to your videos. Watching you with these puppies, big and small, never fails to bring a smile to my face. Thank You!
Oh she looked so amazing after her groom
❤❤❤❤🐕🐕🐕💖🌟
I have always groomed my own dog....but I have had her since she was a puppy and started her on standing for a minute ot two for being brushed and having her toes and feet handled, progressing from there. It is not a process she enjoys but she does tolerate it well. She is a very active dog so we keep our sessions short and I spend about an hour once a week, either shaving or tweaking (thinning or shortening) her coat and we always grind nail which takes about an hour. It was a bit of a learning curve for me. I really enjoy watching your videos. You are very purposeful but patient. There is something very satisfying for me watching you turn the dogs into beauties!
You are so calm and patient. The dogs are lucky to have you.
Spicy little pupper
The translation 💀
@@DAUXZI I don’t see a translation on my comment….
Lmfao
I wonder in what language "pupper" means that?
@@Waffl3B1T somehow it registered “pupper“ as a different language, and apparently translates to “tits” 😮😅
I’ve never seen the translation thing do that before, I use pupper all the time 🤷🏼♀️
Your skills are incredible, but your sense of humor is tops!!!!
Vanessa is a SAINT for having this much patience to groom all these difficult dogs!
"Are the Shears still screaming Clarisse"
You get a dog with long hair, you give it a brush every day. Its not fucking hard. People are just absolutely daft
Or lazy.
I’m sure she fought them when they tried. She’s a strong little one.
If there is no place to get a pet groomed, I would buy a goldfish. This way, the pet does not suffer.
Part of the problem with dog owners is calling dogs feisty when in fact they are aggressive
That's one thing, but the main problem is not getting them used to a comb or brush. Once you have a kitten or puppy, give it a week to adjust to it's new home. Then. slowly get it to tolerate being touched by grooming tools in exchange for snacks. Might seem like boring training initially but totally worth it.
@@ialrakis5173 Thank you for this advice. We don’t really plan on getting a long hair, but I don’t want our dog giving anyone (Rather be it groomer or vet), a hard time. It speaks volumes about the pet owner. And I don’t think anyone wants to be denied services because they have a difficult pet.
... I think when they say fiesty they actually mean aggressive
I don’t think it’s aggression as much as it’s terror
It's probably pain, matts are incredibly painful and if she is an old dog things like arthritis can add to that. That's probably why she's better after the shave. She also seems to fear the razor because as stated where the owners live there isn't access to groomers, hopefully they can find a groomer so she can get used to the process and she gets groomed often enough to avoid matting.
If her owners are reading, you're great people! If you want to help her sore paws, Epsom salt soaks do wonders.
Harness of Humiliation 😂 you are amazing with dogs. I swear you have every tool to get the job done. ❤️
You are so patient and kind
What a spicy fluffball 😂
I was laughing harder than I should have been, poor puppy. You are *so* good with the animals. I love these videos
You're an angel to put up with that. A true professional.
The harness of humiliation 😅😅😅😅😅😅
Fuzzy pocket of spice!
She feels so much better! Thank you
You are so Patient.
The return of the fluff off Karen bandana 🤩 i was waiting for that 🤩🤩🤩
Sara and Mayo would be a great team.
You have unending patience! Bless you! ❤
You are amazing! I work with dogs and I know how difficult it can be sometimes to keep your tone calm and gentle when a dog is being aggressive.
She`s the canine version of Mayo the cat...
3:23 not the pigeon noises 😭
