Well that's a first...at least for me. Never seen, or heard of, a thornback taking ragworm on a clipped down rig! Fishing sure is a funny old game. The second session was good...I would have been chuffed to bits at that outcome. Excellent video as always. Cheers. Ken
Many thanks for that Ken. There are not many sea fish that would turn their noses up at a ragworm! But you're right - its fishbaits or squid that's the norm for most rays.
@@rodsangleuk6283 this a pleasure..it is a perfect presentation of angling in todays demanding conditions... I'll look forward to your next presentation... have a great weekend.
Another good video cobber i used to catch heaps of sole fishing close to pylons useing rag at old Hastings pier. I fished Hastings beaches and old pier in from 9 to 20 years of age and never caught a dog fish. Cant fish fav beaches due to weed .Happy catching from AUSTRALIA Nick

Yes - its Mick; but a few mates of mine nicknamed me Rods, which is why I've used that for this channel!
The dogfish is a whopper!...Oh Happy Ray ;-)
Yes, they pull back a bit at that size.

Had a look on Google Maps. Where on earth did you park? Cheers. Ken
Directly opposite the Kiosk, Ken - there's room for a few vehicles there.
@@rodsangleuk6283 Thanks for the reply. Not the best place to park (especially if night fishing) but better than nothing I suppose.
Lively sole there
Yes, thanks James.
Do you like mono or braid.
I much prefer braid, except in a side wind.
My comment .on wrong video .was for allhallows session
OK, no problem!
