    I have just bought a 1955 Morris to restore. My father had a Morris when I was a kid. Have watched heap of your videos they are great. I have learnt lots of tips. Thanks Scott Australia

    Your attitude regarding this restoration is amazing, as shown by your willingness to tackle things you’ve never done before.
    Inspiration actually......carry on, and be well.
    A fan from the U.S.

    That you can still get body parts for that car is amazing. It's going to be a great help.

      It must be a desirable classic. Some less desired parts will still be made...after you order them. Kind of like my 1999 Corolla getting a new Toyota mount. They said it would be 6 weeks. The part that came? Literally brand new! Made to order!

    Before you start cutting i would tack weld some bracing on so that side of the car keeps it shape otherwise you will never get it back close enough. Can't wait to see how well these panels all go in. Jerry from Bullshitkorner was having a fight to the death with his chevy Bell Air but those panels you got look a lot better made than the panels he was using.
    It's a shame it was airmail only. I bet you could have got those snail mailed to New Zealand for £20. It just would have taken 6 weeks to get there.
    Oh and i would much rather live in NZ mate. I'm still bitter and twisted about how little rust was on your VR6 A3 Golf. Cars are more rusty here after 4 years than that thing was!

    • @MalcOfLincoln
      @MalcOfLincoln 5 років тому

      I agree. Needs bracing to keep it's proper dimensions.

    • @Badgertronix
      @Badgertronix  5 років тому

      The bracing is hsppening today hopefully. Its all still nice and true so far but I'll do my best to keep it that way.
      Sea freight isn't much cheaper for that size package. Better value for huge stuff but it's just expensive all round.
      Haha yeah the VR6 is in beautiful condition 😎

  • @terryatkinson899
    @terryatkinson899 5 років тому +1

    We get ripped off with postage costs here in Ireland aswell. Those panels sound like heavy gauge steel, not the tinfoil crap used in modern cars.
    Do some practice rust treatment on the bits you've cut off And leave them out in the weather to see how they get on....

    • @Badgertronix
      @Badgertronix  5 років тому +2

      The shipping cost was pretty reasonable for the size of the package. I've paid more for less plenty of times! They're nice and solid and hopefully I won't blow too many holes through them when welding. That's a great idea about testing the rust proofing. I shall give it a go!

      Have to post this twice.....as others have said, weld bracing onto the car. With so much removed it can alter critical dimensions. I.E. doors will never fit properly again. Professionals use jigs we don't have access to.

    • @Badgertronix
      @Badgertronix  5 років тому

      Great value and yes I'll get onto the bracing today. Cheers
