Great update. All coming long nicely. Peggy seems a lot better underneath than might have been be feared from the state of the wings/outer panels. It makes all the difference to have a restorer like that who clearly knows what he is doing. Happy to share his experience and to stay focused on the primary project. Peggy will be as solid as a brand new car when she is finished!
Yeah I believe she probably would have passed another MOT but glad it's all getting done! It really does make a difference him being so knowledgeable! Peggy's going to be so well sorted!
What a quality job he is doing. I love that he is happy for you to come and see progress at various points as it shows he isn't trying to hide anything. Likewise i bet it also gives him real reassurance that young drivers still love a car that he cleaely has an affinity with so i bet he's enjoying chatting as much as you are. Glad that there have been some pleasant "Oh it's not as bad as i expected" surprises too. Thanks also for taking us along. It's fascinating
It's really reassuring, and he documents everything in such detail for himself too, he's got whole shelves of photo albums, one of each project he's done over the years, which he showed me before he started, it's a real privilege getting it done by him! Glad you're enjoying it too 😊
It's interesting to see them in this state isn't it? Something to remember when she is back on a show field, looking all shiny! Looks like you have a very good and knowledgeable person working on Peggy 👍
Well done for undertaking such a big rebuild. It always ends up bigger than you first thought. But this repairer looks like he really cares about doing the job properly., it's going to look fantastic. Good luck Bob
Blimey Becca what a massive job and you know I own 3 moggys inherited from my father that he built from scratch finishing the last Traveller when he was 83 years old and when I see the amount of work that needs doing I just don’t know how he did it and that workshop reminds me of my own which my dad rented on a farm for 30 years and I have carried on with after he passed away. All the best Becca ❤️
That's some incredible effort from your father! And to be working so late into life in them too, reminds me of a family friend who was likely a similar generation who rebuild cars in small garages to a beautiful standard! What a generation!
This is very exciting! I'd be really interested to know ballpark costs at the end (I know it's terribly un-british) so I know how much I need to save 🤣
Absolutely - I will definitely be covering that! I think its important to share that sort of information, so people can work out what they can realistically can afford. At the end of the second trip featured in this video, he estimated we were about £3k in, £2.5k of that was labour hours so you can see where it all goes, but that cheap really for the years of experience he's got!

It's fascinating! I love going and visiting her! Yes it's an absolute privilege to have him working on her!
Hi, many thanks for the update on progress with Peggy. Glad no major problems that cannot be fixed. From Nr Chester.
Thank you 😊

He really does, I'm thrilled he's working on it, and I can't wait to see it when its all done!
Very interesting. You'll have the peace of mind of knowing that Peggy will be structurally sound and safer for you for years ahead.
Absolutely! It'll be so worth it!

Can’t wait to see the end result , good luck

Thank you! 😊
Peggy is going to be a wonderful strong motor when she is finished.
Absolutely! Can't wait!
lovely to see new metal going into Peggy. It's coming along nicely Becca. I'm shocked at the amount of filler.
Yeah the amount of filler surprised me too! Still, it offers some history to her I didn't know before!
Peggy's coming along nicely Becca. Do you think you'll paint Peggy in a new colour or repaint her in her original blue. Thanks for sharing 😊👍
She's going trafalgar blue, with just a few tweaks here and there to keep her in theme with the rest of her "Peggy" look
