Unfortunately, I have a problem now with iOS 15: Allowing untrusted shortcuts as seen at 03:54 in this video is now not longer available in the settings section. It only lets you get shortcuts from friends in your contact list... Is there any way to get third party apps from websites now? Maybe worth a video, if more complex. With 15.4.1 you can still share them via the way anything can be shared like airdrop, WhatsApp, copy link etc. It would be nice to have a system like IFTTT so you can share and be rated.

I've written a shortcut to control my Sony Bravia TV I just say "Hey Siri Bravia 24" and the tv goes to channel 24 The name of the shortcut is Bravia 24 If I had access to the Name of the Shortcut I would only need to Duplicate it and it would automatically be renamed to Bravia 25 and i wouldn't need to edit it What do you think
if the app i try to open has no default fucntion could be selected , am i able to use shortcut to give command on the app ?? my case is: i am on a web, i try to have this short cut to "select all text in the article" and open the app "speechify" and Press new in the app, and select past text option, and past the copied text" can someone help ?? (i dont see more option could be selected after open the app in shortcut. thx
I'd like to know if it's possible to create an automation that would automatically answer calls on speakerphone if i'm connected to a bluethooth devise.
Not to my knowledge. There's not mechanism for triggering shortcuts on calls and no actions with with to control them. Apple seems to have been really restrictive when it comes to automating core system actions.
A better place to ask such a question is on the r/shortcuts discord or the RoutineHub discord. (A link to the RoutineHub discord is available on the routinehub website. That way, you know how to contact the person who helped you if you need to contact them.
@@tech_craft Thanks. I know you have the 11 listed in your gear, but on video, it looks bigger for some reason. i.e. I can read everything very clearly. For me the 13 is too heavy and the 11 is perfect weight but seems too small. I wish they came out with a 12 that weighed in at the 11. I'd buy that tomorrow. Maybe 2020?
Tech Craft how does the screen size on the 11 Pro compare to the 2nd gen 12.9” if you know? Looking to ditch the home button for more screen real estate and USB C.
@@teresamason1983 There's noticeably more real estate on the12.9" than on the 11" which for split screen work is useful. For single screen, I find the 11" just fine, and I prefer the smaller unit, but I suspect most people would prefer the larger size.
Three good ones to start with are: 1. Some kind of URL shortener using something the TinyURL API. This is a good way to test out using the Get Contents of URL and Clipboard actions 2. Some of image resizing utility. Work with the photo albums, image manipulation, calculation and some scripting actions. 3. Some kind of favourite places navigation utility. A great way to play with the Maps and Locations actions.
That took a ramp up in complexity. Shortcuts are really powerful.

This series was awesome! is there a chance a shortcut can be created to paly Sirius xm stations? I cut figure out how to do it
What app do you use for that? We don’t get Sirius in the UK unfortunately
@@tech_craft I use the Siriusxm app. I can't get it to open but can't figure out how to tell it to tune to a certain channel and then play on sonos

If I on accident mess up the shortcuts (RoutinePub and the other one) can I delete them then download them again?
Absolutely. Once there are on RoutineHub you can delete and re-download them as many times as needed.
