- An easy and delicious way to cook a Bison Ribeye on a Traeger grill.
Traeger set at 250 degrees F (or 275 degrees F for a bit quicker).
Thawed out and then salted with coarse sea salt for about 20 - 30 min.
Add garlic powder, coarse black pepper, & minced onion.
Place on grill, no flipping or rotating on this one.
Pull off around 135 degrees F for a rare steak (35 min for this one)
Enjoy :)

Pellet grills are the best!
Yes sir can’t go wrong with either of those things!!
New Sub here! Keep them grilling!
Thanks for hoppin’ on!
I watched a restaurant chef say secret to tender bison steak is frequent turning. But maybe that is on a grill.
I’m not sure, I haven’t heard that! Thanks for letting me know. All of mine I’ve done this way (on the Traeger) have turned out very tender.
I've never eaten bison meat. I've had beef; but, I no longer buy it. Years ago, I stopped at a vendor at our local county fair and ordered a beefalo burger. It wasn't too bad; but, would a bison burger taste better or about the same?
In my opinion, yes, it would taste better than a beefalo burger. What makes bison meat so amazing is how lean it is yet tender, moist, & healthy. It has a richer flavor than beef and as long as it’s cooked right, you can’t go wrong.
There is a Bison Ranch around 25 miles from me In Pittsburg I bought a 18 to 24 month old Bison Bull & had it processed It end up costing less that hamburger that way * Since then I made a 5 quart cast Iron full of chili In Oct & last night a 15.5 x 10.5 x 2 cast Iron baking pan full of Enchiladas using a 2 pound package of ground Bison * there was not any of it left either time for me a meal the next day & I get ready to d some Chicken Fried Bison on my 28 inch Blackstone Griddle
The Chili & Enchiladas were for Church after service meals
@@warrenedmonds4926 that’s awesome Warren, sounds delicious!!
I love to eat bison! It is free of cholesterol.
Definitely a very healthy meat!!
How thick do you get your steaks cut?
Hey Cody, usually 1” or 1-1/2”
@@arrowheadbison we had all ours cut at one because that’s what we had and liked it. That one seemed thicker. curious to try that cooking method looks like you nailed it. We’re in central Ks just sold our cattle this past spring and bought bison 🦬 🇺🇸 👊🏻
@@codyfern7976 that’s awesome Cody!! Yeah the 1-1/2” ones make for a big steak but they sure are delicious LoL. Let’s stay in touch, I like having other bison ranchers in my phone. Email me at arrowheadbison@gmail.com
