I'm a bus driver in Edinburgh and see them when the festival is on,Im sorry passengers sometimes I miss the lights on purpose when I'm close enough to get a chance get to hear them.
You are forgiven. That is completely reasonable 💪
I'd be the passenger asking you to pleaaaase miss the light on purpose just to hear them! 😄
so would i, be an absolute joy to hear them live
Forgiven! ❤️
I loved Edinburgh when I visited. Great little town.
I don't understand what people have against the pipes, I think they're magnificent especially when played like this.
Could say the same of our people.
Disliking them is the "cool" thing.
I guess I'm not cool!
I had a neighbor growing up who played his pipes and it was such a joy to hear. I've always loved them ❤
Amazing Grace on the pipes. Always gets me 😪
Its a personal preference just as most anything. People have their opinion. Just because its different doesn't make it wrong or right. I personally like pipes.
I’m ready to charge into battle alongside my Celtic brothers… and I’m Mexican.
😂 Same!!
😅
Me too! I wonder if they’d welcome a female Sassenach warrior to charge into battle beside them! My Scottish ancestors (McTavish, McAllister, and McNeil) would be mightily proud.
When people say that they are proud of their heritage, it should be because of things of beauty like this. Things that should be shared with the world.
Watching, listening, and thinking, wow, this is herratage, this warmed my heart.
The music of my home land is beautiful, strong, and heartwarming 💙
Dear Scott’s please keep this tradition alive for ever , thank you 🇺🇸
It’s Scots, with one T, and this isn’t traditional, it’s made up ‘tradition’ for the sake of tourists.
@@Jimmythefish577 I seen Alastair Fraser playing his violin in the small town where I live in Michigan does
that make up for my mistake on the Scots with one T band ? O please for give me 🇺🇸
@@EricHeffner I blame spell-check. You’re forgiven.
People and music like this make one proud to belong to the Celtic tribes... This is how to play the pipes!
No such thing as a Celtic tribe in Scotland. Can you name any?
@@anniegibson7734 Argumentive....
@@lisajoyaslanis Yes for sure. Some are.
It's said that if you have just one little drop of Scottish blood on your veins, you absolutely LOVE the pipes and the drums!
Scotland has no particular claim to pipes or drums. Drums are about 250,000 years old and pipes have a far older heritage in european countries....and ofc Cumbria and Ireland. So while scottish nationalism has wrapped itself in plaid and bagpipes it is not really novel or uniquely scottish, beyond the particular clan based cloth patterns, which are pretty uniquely scottish. Although on further consideration - what is scottish? Pictish? Norwegian? Celtic? Scotland is no less a mongrel race than English. All Scottish nationalists seem to have completely in common is a centuries old persecution complex, even after Scotland's royal family took over England!
I don't have any Scots blood that I know of, but the pipes have called to me since I was a toddler, and first heard them on a record at my Aunt Nancy's. I made her play it for me every time we went to visit. And any parade that doesn't have a pure band, IMHO, is not worthy of the name.
I grew up in the ghetto Indy a neighbor would come out and play his bagpipes at sunset🧡
You know it's cold out when Wilson puts on a shirt
You know it's cold when the leader has a top and hat on. I love these guys.
I was 14 the first time I heard the Queens Black Watch. It blew my mind. It still does and I’m 75.
These guys are bad ass, from the great sound to the cool way they dress. I could listen to these guys all day long over a pint. True warriors,
!
If they could come by and wake me up every morning I'd be so productive
Born in Scotland living down under..................nonetheless this stirs my proud Scottish blood !
I know right 😁
Love the bagpipe! its a long way to the top if ya want to rock n roll!!! AC/DC
My first time hearing these blokes, and dare I say they are super-talented blokes! I’d pay to see you guys. Mike in Colorado USA.
These gentlemen are completely awesome. I could listen to this all day.
Bagpipes, drums, badass music 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I love bagpipes, great job 👏👏👏👏
The guys on bagpipes are especially amazing! The whole group are brilliant 🏴❤️
Heck I’m not Scottish but the sound it’s so contagious. Love it!
Bagpipe music heals my soul.
100%
Only when they are played well though
I nominate the guy in the middle, on the drums, with the beard, for President! Anybody with me???
At this point I'd nominate a duck if it could beat Trump -- and it would be less of a quack!!
I guess this is wonderful Tu-Bardh Wilson himself ;-)
@@Cryptonymicus 🤣🤣🤣
I love music so I clicked this even though it looked odd and it took ten seconds to tell I made the right choice
I would ride into battle, ready for anything, if this lot was beside me and my brothers
I had a bagpiper at our wedding and it was amazing! Love the pipes!!
Imagine if Scotland played this before a rugby match, like the Hakka.

I love to hear the pipes. I get a wonderful feeling in my heart when i hear them.
Pipes and Drums remind me off my Scottish heritage. Amazing .

Bagpipes are an amazing instrument that can adapt to old and new styles of music. I grew up with my father playing the bagpipes....lots of great memories where he would take us on trips up to cairn o mount .... He would practice and we'd run about playing .... very happy days 😄🥰

AC/DC fan: nothing can beat Thunderstruck.
Guys with drums and bagpipes: hold our whisky.
I've actually heard Thunderstruck played on the pipes. It's something else.
Yes yes yes, tunes

Vince Aggrippino no auto tune! Woohoo!
Love this,we had pipes for my fathers funeral, Keith McFarland Robertson. They raise the spirits.
We had bagpipes for our wedding. I was piped into the church instead of having Here Comes the Bride.
REAL TALK THOUGH, WHO DOESNT JACKED HEARING THEM PIPES??? LIGHTNING BOLTS OUTTA HIS ARSE!!
My man, you unironically use the expression "real talk"?
This song is not complete. It needs to finish with 10,000 screaming Scottish warriors descending to the battle field to slaughter wicked tyrants.

I have no connection - at least none that I know of - to beautiful Scotland, England, Ireland etc etc. Still I'm sitting here (in Sweden) tapping my feet and fingers against everything available around me, feeling the wild happiness these guys are giving me right now! I love them! Period! 🤗🤗 And who knows - maybe they stir up the Viking blood in me?? 💖😂
You’re probably not as disconnected as you think. There was a huge migration from mostly Norway to Scotland in what is commonly referred to as the Viking period. Most of the west and north of scotland was under the control of vikings for hundreds of years, so Scots today have a lot of Viking blood. I’m Scottish and my family name is Tunstall, which is originally Norse.

@@vladdrakul7851 yeah but at the same time people who are actual tribe members do not call themselves Native American Indian, usually they call themselves by the tribe they belong to. This person is more than likely a white lady that has some indigenous heritage based on the description used.
@@davidarbogast37 USUALLY perhaps but not ALWAYS.. If something happens 10% of the time vs 90% that means even if it is 10 times more likely (as in using 'Native Americans' as the term) it also means that one in ten WILL happen as well.
I myself was accused for using 'UC Berkeley' in an online statement (I was born and raised in the UK, NOT California) and without any evidence was accused of lying because 'Californians don't speak of it that way.'. You and others are guessing and it means nothing. Maybe it is what you GUESS maybe it is a Native American woman talking generally and using the colloquial expression 'Indians' to be more understandable to others. Who knows?
Why not just address the points made by this person in service to the discussion instead of avoiding what matters and playing moralizing 'gotcha' based on nothing but guesses.
