- Scottish band of Drummers (Clanadonia), performing with their drums in Buchanan street in Glasgow City Centre.
Music is "The Gael" from the movie "Last of the Mohicans".
It was great to listen to it live.
This speaks through the blood. It is not old men, it is not the scene, it is the beat of the blood, and the loss of the same through the ages.
Why else would the English make pipes, tartan, and all the other accoutrements of Scot ancestry illegal?
I have followed Clanadonia for years bought there cd four times I know I fkn love em true Scotsman born and bred not far from were there standing playing that beautiful song on those pipes 🏴
love being a Scotsman never gets old the fact pipes boil my blood
My Scot and Irish ancestors are listening and stirring up my blood. Let’s go!
They’re all fantastic but I tell ya’ the charismatic cutie all windswept and interesting in the middle is an absolute pleasure to watch with firm ties to heritage, delicious drumming, freedom of self and rythm that flows from every pore of his being. I don’t think he could stay still if he tried & who would want him to. You’re an inspiration and you all rock! Keep it up guys 🙏

Thank you Mr. TheDon Mak. I appreciate that. I would never take that Neanderthal's response as the majority opinion. I love the Celtic people, and their culture. Thank you for the kind words, and coming to my defense.

I love Celtic people, and their culture! I would never allow the actions of one ass, to taint how I see the Celtic people.

I love these amazing guys. This music is also nurtured in my country. It is a centuries-old tradition.
The first time I set foot on British soil, it was in Scotland, as a wee 11 year old lad, my parents had sent me there for the summer to study english, it was bloody freezing in Aberdeen even in June. I adored the place, the lakes, the highlands, the castles. Amazing country, the bagpipes give me goosebumps. I want to go back there. I spent five years in England for uni years later and always wanted to go up north again, but never did, last april I went golfing in Ireland with me old man, I wanted to go to Scotland, if not this spring, then I'll go there in the summer. Much love and respect from Italy.

First time I have ever seen a bagpipe try to play over another instrument >.< Amazing stuff
Hi, as far as I am aware, the bagpipes are actually the loudest instrument on earth.
You can hear them miles away, without any amplification. 💪
BEAUTIFUL....
I am SO Lucky to have been an extra in that film
This is awesome! Greetings from Bulgaria!
🏴 🇧🇬 ❤
Badassery all around! \m/ Clanadonia is bloody brawesome!
They finally have a decent piper. Good stuff guys, good to see.
great music, I love this song. these guys are great on the drums. I can't be sure with the video quality, but that guy dancing in the crowd looked like Tommy Flanagan.
"Real Scot's Men" I'm proud to say I have some ;-) "Scottish blood" from near the Grampian Mountains but an Irish heart. Sláinte!
somehow i find this version more emotional then any others out there. Good job!
I will be extremely happy if I can listen and watch them, in my next travel to Scotland in May 2019. After that, I may die peacefully, Bucket list wish #1
They let my boy play on their drums one year when we seen them by chance in Glasgow. The pretty much played a drum off with him. This is them on facebook. Why not ask where they are planning to play in Scotland? Then fit it into your travels. Where are you going to, in our bonnie country? facebook.com/clanadonia
@@FrozenWillow1980 I am going to be in Edimburgo , Inverness , Lago Ness , Fort Augustus , Glasgow .
@@AnnetteDuarte I think you mean Edinburgh Inverness, Loch Ness, Fort Augustus and Glasgow? I would still message the group to see where they will be :)
I will give you this link from my god friend Tammy to give tourists a little helping in hand in how to pronounce our towns, otherwise some people here when you ask where a place is will get very confused ;)

I am impressed, wonderful, thank you
I am puerto Rican and.domican and wants this played when i die. This is amazing!!
Master Guerrero I feel the same
Good rendition. This crew reminds me of Clann An Drumma, who I had the great pleasure to see live at the New Hampshire Highland Games back in 2004. For the ultimate version of this tune, check the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards album "Parallel Tracks." It'll give you goose bumps.
They're still around-- they're called Albannach, now!
Ysobelle Two members of Clann An Drumma left and started Albannach. Drumma is still playing on their own. The older guy on the middle left in the vid is from Drumma. A lot of them move from group to group.
