@@mknewlan67 freedom to do as you want does not necessarily means independence. We are in a world where "independence" means doing everything on your own, which is virtually impossible. But, the good thing is, you can be free, but remain relying on others, as long as all those exchanges are voluntary! well, history "answered" that scottish people want to be scottish no more. They chose UK over their independence, freedom and dignity. That was a really unique opportunity for Scotland to shine. Now, Scotland is (to me and others, too) no more and kilts are just simple dresses. Too bad. Glorified past, but shameful future.

In the summer of 1998 we arrived in Invergordon with the legendary SS Norway, former SS France, and was welcomed with two bagpipe bataljons on the pier...that mighty ship was almost listing because of all the passengers who went to one side to listen to it. Morfeu I see, we see freedom a little differently over here and I think that is the difference. I’m not saying either way is right or wrong, just different. One thing I learnt in the Army is no matter the nationality everyone tends to want the same thing. Freedom to do as they want. Much love and respect from Michigan! Merry Christmas.
@@mknewlan67 freedom to do as you want does not necessarily means independence. You see, you may be free to do as you please, but you will always be dependent on your family, on the farmers that produce your food, from the industries that benefit it and so forth. We are in a world where "independence" means doing everything on your own, which is virtually impossible.
But, the good thing is, you can be free, but remain relying on others, as long as all those exchanges are voluntary! No force needed, if your arguments are strong enough, but when that fails, be ready for everything.
Cheers and Merry Christmas, from a Jewish Brazilian guy. ;) Much love and respect to the US, the biggest helper of my beloved Israel!

Honor and respect to those who gave for the freedom and liberty of Scotland and Ireland
I am a Scotsman and a metal lover and we go for independence on October 19th 2023, put it in your calander, our First Minister is gonna take down the UK union with all of us Scots.

@@caveman385I know u all celebrated it!!!
Scottish History will never be tainted. Live free and Brave
well, history "answered" that scottish people want to be scottish no more. They chose UK over their independence, freedom and dignity. That was a really unique opportunity for Scotland to shine. Now, Scotland is (to me and others, too) no more and kilts are just simple dresses. Too bad. Glorified past, but shameful future.
Babis Babalis for as long as 100 of us remain , its still our Scotland . Not all kilts are empty . Our day will come .
Karlw Watson bet you wave your wee tricolor like most who voted snp and before you say im not scottish well i am and more than most of the gob shites that voted yes
braveheart1874 Oil runs out? Not the only thing that'll run out. Today I was embarrassed for Scotland having that guy in the European Parliament practically begging on his knees to that European President guy to save him and Scotland. He should of stood proud and talked in front of everyone and stated he's proud to be Scottish and declared he'd fight for Scotland
@Brendan McGlinchey . Well said. SAOR ALBA GU BRATH
The Drum Corps, and bagpipes take me back,,, LOVE IT!!!

Imagine hearing this music in ancient times

I love Scotland! Long live Scotland !
In the summer of 1998 we arrived in Invergordon with the legendary SS Norway, former SS France, and was welcomed with two bagpipe bataljons on the pier...that mighty ship was almost listing because of all the passengers who went to one side to listen to it. I was on the bridgewing and had goose bumps all over my body....I love it. They lokk so proud in their kilts. Have always in the years after loved Scotland. Worked out of several ports with offshore supply vessels.
Im German/Danish but i also have scottish blood and im proud of it

Incredible!! One of the greatest metal bands ever!
I am a Stewart but I am only 43% Scottish.
I was raised by a man named Dench (Old english for Danish)
I have more respect for him, than I could show a thousand people.
That being said I am proud of my ancestry too and always wondered why the sound of bagpipes got my blood moving.
Bagpipes are my alarm, from now until I am in the ground.
I must warn not to play bagpipes at my funeral as you may wake me up.

Grave Digger rule! Scotland to be independent once more in September...YES!
Independance or death !
*****
we will see in September, i think a Yes vote will win. who is 'we'? there are a lot of Scots wanting independence, plus its no surprise you would vote no with your butchers apron flag in your avatar..
*****
well if you believe the polls, its pretty close these days. there are a lot of don't knows. i'm sure Grave Digger would support Scottish independence too.
I'm as Scottish as anyone, but forget the past of 200+ years ago and live for the greater good of both the UK and Scotland. Idealism is great, but so is sensibility!!!....
felinis01
Whats not sensible about Scotland being independent? i dunno how you can say your so Scottish but support Scots not even getting the government they voted for. its 2014 and scots don't have self-determination, that's not right.
I used to march to this every year as a junior firefighter loved it in the parades if only my husband coulda seen it ❤miss them days
I lost the right to call myself a "Rocker/Metalhead". How is it that I just discovered this amazing band today?? It's not like I'm a child ..
I like your statement : " everytime I hear a bagpipe playing old celtic songs I get chills all over my body. " Chills that make me addict ... oh yeeeaaah ... Extremely Love Bagpipes ... It's Scottish ... an extraordinary music instrument ... Amazing ...
the epicness is indescribable
I feel the sudden urge to wear kilts and rebel against the English....
#blamemelgibsonlol
Me too - and I'm English!
The only musical instrument to be declared a instrument of War. "The Scottish army does not match to war with out its pipes"
Carl Duffin hahahahaha
I dont wear a kilt, but us here the usa have done that. Worth it.
Best anthem ever....!
