Love the letter format!!! What a great idea! I could listen to endless letters between Lizzie & Darcy 😊 i also loved the premise of having them in lockdown...another brilliant idea! Much of what they experienced was so reflective of what many of us went through as well. So well written! Thank you
I'm such a fan of these books. So beautifully written and now narrated. I find them so uplifting and comforting all at once. Thank you for releasing this here, so I can listen whenever I want 🧡🥰😍
Stuck in the house during a hurricane. This was such a welcome distraction. The two narrators have great chemistry. Thank you for making a tough time a little nicer!!!❤❤❤
Our pleasure! Thank you so much, we're so very glad to have helped at all. Hopefully you are doing OK and the storm is passing. Our very best wishes to you, J&J ❤
I snickered at Darcy’s beginning letter correcting her spelling. And Lizzie’s postscript competition with him. The full conversations relayed and Mr Collin’s most ridiculous behaviour were delightful and well worthy of Jane Austen. However Joanna it was quite cheeky of you to finish prior to romantic sentiments being expressed. I fully expected a letter “from Georgiana” inviting Elizabeth to visit Pemberley. Ah well. I always like Anne having a better life. It was sad however to see the decline of Charlottes spirit. Examining lockdown through their eyes and seeing Elizabeth’s mental health starting to falter was both powerful and healing considering it was also my experience. All the “rules” that made no sense, the angst of trading freedom for supposed security and the financial consequences were very gently discussed in this work. Thank you also to your passionate voice actors. It was riveting and I shall listen again, if only to count the postscripts. lol. Picturing Mr Collin’s as a buck toothed donkey in a bonnet right now. 😊
Thanks so much, Shelley, for such a lovely and detailed comment. I'm so very glad to hear that you enjoyed, and also that it was healing for you. I really hoped when I was writing that it might help, just considering how someone like Elizabeth would fare, and that perhaps if she was struggling it was somehow more understandable to be struggling too, if that makes any sense. Sometimes we ourselves are the very last people we're actually easily compassionate with. I do think many people are still living with a sense of isolation and repercussion, and that it takes time to heal fully. I totally hear what you're saying about the romantic sentiments, lol. That would've been a good idea. I learnt so much through writing each book 😊 I suppose, with Charlotte, the idea is really rather open ended - that she could well find a way to thrive and that the solidarity of her family will also help. I'm always interested to explore the idea of family, and how it can be so many things - good and bad - and also, of course, not necessarily blood relations. Ah, Mr Collins, what would we do without him? 😂
