A look into the running school I've launched, in a hope to help educate people and show them how to be better at running. Showing what I've done for 15-20 years as a professional and what helped take me from a troubled kid in Belfast to a 2.09 marathon and the start line of the Olympic Games. Deep dive into the 5 core areas that have helped me continue to progress as an athlete and allow me to set such big goals. If you're an advanced runner, or simply following a Couch to 5K program, this school can help you. For advanced runners the school can you learn tips and tricks to improve all events from 5k to marathon. If you're new to running and want to start a Couch to 5K program, then this is the school for you! In this Priming Session, I'll give you an overview of the school and help you set realistic goals for your first runs.

Patience, is everything in running. I had come to discover that. Be proud of yourself when you push hard because you can, and also be proud when you decide to take it easy for your body to be able to come back strong as soon as possible.
I wake each morning looking forward to these vlogs. None is a waste of time. All valuable. Thanks.
Hope you feel better soon and thanks for sharing your personal experience dealing with illnesses. The way you deal with illness mentally and physically is really helpful
Hope you have a fast recovery. Sweat it out with extra socks and layers like a sauna it will pass in a few day if you stay extra hot so your immune system can recover. I started taking cold showers two years ago everyday even in winter and I havent gotten sick since. I am from Chicago so I always got sick during season changes like spring and fall. The cold also helps with my recovery after long runs. My muscles really enjoy the cold water showers now. I took some tips from Wim Hof and it's been great on my immune system even though its tough to hope into the cold everyday. Cold therapy eliminated the seasonal stress from summer to winter or winter to summer when our bodies change composition. Get Well Soon! Looking forward to this series very exciting.
really appreciate your content. especially this. Getting sick is no fun as a runner
Keep up with the informative videos, learning loads!
Great advice, I'm guessing you know this but keep hydrated. Hope you're feeling better soon! 👍🏻
Thanks so much for the valuable tips. I m recovering from influenza A and I ll have a half marathon event in 10 days time 😢
Thanks for sharing Stephen. Hope you feel better soon.
Keep the good work mate!
sitting here with a pretty bad cold after a tough 100 mile bike ride a few days ago. thanks for the tips!
I ready to watch everyday. Its real and its good.
Hope you feel better soon! Don’t worry about losing fitness - your first workouts were at 5:20 paces and 5 pace, so you’re already ahead of a curve!👍🏃🏻♂️
Great suggestion to do a little bit of strenth work! I have had sicknesses last way too long because I am so itching to back into training that I don’t give my body enough of a break from the cardio work
Get well soon!
Loving your content so far, thanks for uploading! Especially the strength and warmup drills. Are you drinking cow's milk? If so, that's likely a reason your mucus production is higher than it would be if you cut out dairy or switch to plant based milks? Deffo worth considering, especially while you're not 100%. Cheers and keep it up!
Yeah makes sense, I’ve had issues before clearing the throat a lot when drinking cows milk
@@stephenscullion262 Might be worth making a switch and seeing if you feel different? I mean after all it evolved for baby cows, not for humans
Would love to see a pre-run workout/stretch video ~ not many videos on YT do this effectively.
Will do at some stage bud, there’s a heap of that kind of stuff in the Masterclass - yourolympicsjourney.com but granted not for everybody to sign up. there’s a 15 minutes pre run activation routine in there, and post run home mobility etc.. foam rolling tips, basically everything linked to running, but I’m sure we will get to it in the next 620 days haha on here
Good advice
Thanks
657 vids left until Paris 2024 Olympic marathon my guy
Hey do you rent out in the US or live there permanently? Curious about where people choose to live...
Ah, the disappointment of a 4/10 coffee!
Hope you are well soon!
Especially when you make it yourself, but todays video started with a 2.5 / 10 pour over 🥹
I can give you and the community here one more tip - ditch the mucus inducing milk and dairy products, if not for always then at least when you feel your coming down with something.
"Im maby get cold and i feel tired, whatcan i do?oh i will take big coffe airst thing in the morning" booom 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦
