IW04M is 73USD, while K989 is 44 USD. In terms of value for money, WLtoys beats this car hands down. It's much faster and better to drive out of the box and requires less fixing to get it working at optimal level. As for this Firelap, you can't put fast motor in it, the board simply can't handle much. Also you really need whole bearing upgrade and electronics overhaul to get it working correctly and that's much harder to fix than WL. Here's how you do the electronics upgrade. ua-cam.com/video/qLM3Qh6kku4/v-deo.html Then you can change motor to something like Mini-Z XspeedV or Hyper Dash 3 from Tamiya Mini 4WD. Unless they cut the price to 35 dollars or less. By then i'd like to take a whack at it due to its compatibility. The WLtoys sounds really superior. however, i am unsure about chassy compatibility since the 94mm chassy doesn't really fit properly unless i grind off a bit of the wheel arch to give it some space to steer (i did hear you say thay but i need some visual aid of it >_>.). If there's a mod you'd like to share about body fitting on the wltoys to a 94mm then i am sold on it. As for now, the wltoys has only limited body options. What's this cars wheel base? please tell me.
Out of the box, 98mm. But it has spur gear included in the box for 90, 94 and 102mm.
@@BeaversHobby Oh okay. I was planning on buying this after watching you. So i'll just have to change the spur gear and bring the back wheel into another hole so that i can bring down the wheel base? if so then i am looking forward on working with this rc.
I am unsure about upgrading the motor though. I am all about touring and what's the best motor that you can suggest for this RC?
Oh and could i know about the prices of this and the WLtoys 1:28 rally rtr vs this iW04M? in my country, the iw04 is a bit more expensive than the wltoys so i just want to know if its the same as your country in terms of pricing.
@@paulodepablo3649 Yes, you just change the gear and move the rear gearbox to change wheelbase. It's that easy.
Both this and WLtoys are available on Banggood (and that's where I got the cars).
Here's how you do the electronics upgrade. ua-cam.com/video/qLM3Qh6kku4/v-deo.html
Then you can change motor to something like Mini-Z XspeedV or Hyper Dash 3 from Tamiya Mini 4WD.
However, if a good looking body and Mini-Z body compatibility is your priority. IW04M is the one to buy.
Or if you want to go pro, save up a bit more and get Atomic AMZ or Mini-Q Q7. They are both fantastic touring car.
@@BeaversHobby Okay. I am not a pro mostly. I am just trying the hobby out. However for 73 dollars, i will have to just get a budget mini-Q due to cost effectivity (if you have some mini-Q that are the same price or less then please tell me).
AMZ and Mini-Q7 is really off the budget XD. with the same price, i could easily get a 1/10 scale RC.
If you have a mini-Z that won't break the bank and would be thrilling to work on with in the 80 dollar mark, please tell me. As for now, i just want to work on something that's fun.
@@paulodepablo3649 It's too difficult to make WLtoys 94mm.
Here's Mini-Q Q1 which is the cheapest Mini-Q there is. www.banggood.com/TRQ1-2-4G-Mini-Drift-RC-Car-p-1390549.html?
It's 94mm but it doesn't have side clip mounting for Mini-Z so you'll have to make a magnet mount if you want to change the body.
I think Banggood version comes with drift tyres so look at hobbyking too. That should come with rubber tyres. hobbyking.com/en_us/diy-rc-4wd.html
Nice Video
I think they should've priced them like an xmod then I would buy one.
That'd be much more appealing. They recently had a discount and the price came down to something like $50 and that was much better.
Do you know if they ever fixed the unequal steering yet? Its the main reason that I didnt pick it up even if it was 50
@@Ilikedahrice No, they don't. The electronics and everything are still the same. You'll have to go through the process of modding it like this. ua-cam.com/video/qLM3Qh6kku4/v-deo.html
Sorry, the Height should be 48.5mm.
Black rims on that thing is ez.
It's a ford gt body not the ford gt 40 and it's not even fully accurate
looks like old iwaivers from 10 years ago
It is! They just change the transmitter and sell it again.
I know those coins those are singapore coins cuz i live here
I buy this rc car
go for it, it is not bad at all.
Mini Z clone LOL
It is!! 😂 Some of the ideas is good though. By combining 4WD and MR-01 battery arrangement it's quite well balanced.
