Hi Beaver, love the channel you have some great content! I have a question. I just ordered a MA-020s and I want these tires to be my first upgrade but I don’t understand rims. What size rims should I order to fit these drift tires? I will be using the skyline R33 body and Nissan Silvia body if that makes a difference for the rims fitting. I will be drifting on carpet so I think some good hard tired will help, but I have another question regarding gear rations. Should I go with the lowest gear ratio so I have more power on the carpet? I don’t understand gear rations so any advise is appreciated! Thanks Beaver!
R33 body uses 1.5mm offset narrow wheel on all corners But these DS tyres are narrow at the front and wide at the rear. So I suggest using 1 or 1.5mm offset narrow at the front and 0mm offset wide at the rear. S15 uses 1mm offset narrow wheels on all corners and 90mm wheelbase so you'll have to disassemble the car to change the wheelbase first. All in all, get 1mm offset narrow wheels for the front and 0mm offset wheels for the rear. You might have to shave rear wheel arches off to clear the tyres though. Next is gear ratio, to get maximum torque you need the pinion (gear on the motor) to be smallest and the spur (gear on centre shaft) to be largest. So I suggest 15T pinion and 31T spur. Just can't get the kit you get in the uk , however may I ask my steering on the k989 lock isn't to impressive any ideas what I can do please , I've tried to buy from bang good but it never arrives !
You can try extending the servo horn. And maybe do some mod with small ball links for helicopter. I think you can find 3.5-4mm ball links and turnbuckle from your local hobby shop.
Beaver's Hobby , have you ever heard of xmods I got one on ebay looks very much like a mini z ?
@@stephen4600 Yes, I missed it because I only knew it after Radioshack went out of business. I don't know what parts are interchangeable with Mini-Z but the body looks very cool especially one with body kit.
Beaver's Hobby I got a full kit Subaru Impreza in the carrying case and three spare motors of different powers a result . Thank you for your kindness sir . Stephen@SMS
What rims are you using with the lf4
I am thinking of purchasing some of them for my wltoys k989
These are standard Mini-Z wheels.
Front: bit.ly/2WSecRf
Rear: bit.ly/2znzs3K
You can also order the tyres with all narrow so you'll use 2 sets of front wheels.
hello host i got 1/28 atomic bz i want play on street i need some sugguest for tire can you precent some for me?
The car is not really suitable for running on street because ground clearance isn't that much. You can use WLtoys P929 (monster truck) wheels and tyres but I don't know how it will turn out.
The other tyres I suggest for the job are that you find some bicycle grip whether foam or rubber then cut it to size. That way you'll get more ground clearance than any tyres on the market.
