Tangerine Dream are a German electronic music collective founded in 1967 by Edgar Froese. The group has seen many personnel changes over the years, with Froese being the only continuous member until his death in January 2015. Noted electronic music artist, drummer, and composer Klaus Schulze was briefly a member in an early lineup. The best known and most constant line-up of the group, which worked during their most influential mid-1970s period, was a trio with Froese, Christopher Franke, and Peter Baumann. In the late 1970s, Johannes Schmoelling replaced Baumann, and this lineup was stable and extremely productive as well.
Tangerine Dream's recorded output has been prolific, having released over one hundred albums. Their work with the Ohr electronic music label, a period called the "Pink Years" because of a pink ear included in Ohr's logo, produced albums that had a pivotal role in the development of the musical genre known as krautrock. Their "Virgin Years," so-called because of their association with Virgin Records, produced albums that helped define what became known as the Berlin School of electronic music. These and later albums were influential in both the development of electronic dance music and also new-age music, although the band themselves disliked that term. From the late 1990s into the 2000s, Tangerine Dream continued to explore other styles of electronica.
Even with their many studio and live recordings, many fans were introduced to Tangerine Dream by their film soundtracks. The group created over sixty soundtracks which include those for the films Sorcerer, Thief, Risky Business, The Keep, Firestarter, Legend, Near Dark, Shy People, and Miracle Mile. They also composed the score for the video game Grand Theft Auto V.

I have to admit that this high quality 180g vinyl pressing has a very nice balanced sound comparing to Eastgate CD edition that is too saturated and compressed. Pretty strange that they can't make mastering better for their own release than a side company.

Pointless. They could just join the longest 7-9m tracks by two and put the shortest 6-7m by three, that would had more logic, if they searched for quality.

Yes, exactly.... I happen to believe the vinyl sounds much better. Many people agree, CD quality is not the best.

Not trying to rain on your parade but you need a new turntable. You cant adjust the tracking force on yours. The grooves are getting dug deeper every time you play which will eventually ruin your records. Just a heads up.

I'm not going to start a big discussion about the technologies in this field, I'll just let you know my point on this - I don't think there's any need in something else. Grooves are getting worn any way and this turntable has a tracking force and all other qualities that can be called "just about what's needed for great playback". Everything is already calibrated the optimum way and I'm pretty satisfied with the result.

@@vinyltogether Yes, this one has spring-loaded technology, where everything is factory set at the best level. It cannot damage records, but unlike better turntables cannot be upgraded with more expensive cartridge. And also unit is not long-lasting, this type of turntable was invented by japanese in 80`s and they were selling them with cheaper hifi line components. When something serious goes wrong, you just buy another unit. Heavy direct-drives from 80`s can make more damage to records if they were not properly serviced. I had one with too strong AS mechanism, one with faulty automatic and every of them need cleaning and lubricating of automatic mechanism and new silicon oil for tonearm lever.

Интересная особенность: интересные каналы не очень популярны
