I just realized you've become the content creator I've always been longing for in Star Citizen. Someone who engages in discussion about the state of the flight model, meta and who's quick to cover updates and patch notes, and doing all these from the perspective of an experienced hardcore PvPer. This is gold! Keep em coming!
Alternately they could fly more like they look they should fly. That the Titan can stay nose on target when dealing with smaller more nimble craft is wrong.
The speed nerf of the Hornet and the speed buff of the gladius isn't going to do shit... Snubs, light fighters, most medium fighters, and most heavy fighters are all way to slow for minor speed buffs/nerfs to fix this piece of shit aka Master Modes. PVP fights are solely decided on DPS/HP/Aim now... speed doesn't matter and maneuverability is gone.
would love the calibration of things to be graphical and less menu slider based maaybe like a ready check in your ship where you are asked to do a full set of movements based on where you want your caliration thresholds etc like how far out your Vjoy moves and a slider pops up to fix it.
The F7À looks to have the old hornet bug when they get hit once when The shield is down they instantly turn red or get torq imbalance extremely quick which I feel they should take torq imbalance either out of the game or fix it where you have to take a significant amount of damage in order for it to affect your ship
Yogi does listen to players, problem is that players don't always agree on what they want :) That's why places like the Shadow Moses discord are very good to have. Can I ask that you make a video going deeper into esp dampening, and what different kinds of players would want to set it to?
Dont think ill actually miss that top speed in my Hornet. That speed to extend was more deed in the F8. In the Hornet I wanted the cage match relatively speaking.
I Understand why they did they ESP settings, they wanted to make it less confusing. But they should have added some info about it in the settings menu rather then condensing it into a single slider
other than the hornet movement, they don't seem to be addressing the core issues. I think the repeaters were only suffering in comparison to cannon madness.
Ya agreed. To me, the point of cannons is to punch up and have risk reward. They should be very slow firing, lower speed, high damage. Missing with a light fighter fitted with cannons when firing upon a light fighter fitted with a repeaters should be liking missing with a sniper in FPS vs someone with an assault rifle. I think the point of larger weapons need to be to kill larger shit right? So that’s going to be directly correlated to projectile speed to damage ratio. I seek a day when fitting a hornet with all size 2 repeaters makes sense.
The unified ESP slider wasn’t unified. The one slider we have in 3.23 only affects the strength of the pip magnetism. In 3.23, no matter how you move the slider, everyone had 12 degree cone and 1.15 dampening.
nope you could change the values in "attribute.xml" file and it went beyond the sliders restrictions . You still can change thoose values in the xml. that don't even exist anymore in official settings menu. Same for FOV, mouse sensivity and vjoy size, relative mouse curves.
@@0BLACKESTFUN0 It’s not a nope. It’s great you can modify the cone and modifier via XML, but it’s true that the ESP slider in 3.23 has nothing to do with dampening. ESP has two, distinct parts; the dampening (with cone of action and dampening modifier), and pip magnetism (where your crosshair is pulled towards the pip). Those two parts are independent (pip magnetism has it’s own cone of action that is progressive). Prior to 3.23 we had no (in game) method to modify the pip magnetism part of ESP.
I want them to bring back the flight mode where the ships handled like helicopters (forgot the name of it) Cuz if they want "realistic" flight controls...Then THAT WAS IT! but too many babies started crying I can't control my ship wah wah wah!
Hope the Freelancers got buffs too soon. Same Agility like Constellations with 1/4 slower SCM speed and 800% less health and Shield and half the DPS is a very very bad balance.
I disagree the size of the fixed circle is important, and varies from one player to the next. I myself preferred 15 degrees with a 1.32 sensitivity of dampening. By making the circle fixed, it is either too small, or too big, and only being allowed to change the sensitivity of dampening causes a problem that becomes inversely disadvantageous depending on the size of the fixed circle. Think of it in terms of mouse acceleration settings on mice. Too much acceleration and it causes oversteer, too little and it causes understeer. And I'm speaking from the context of dual joystick user. Ultimately they should have left ESP the way it was before they screwed with it. Regarding the Hornet speed nerf. That is a mistake, all it does is incentivize AvengerOne's Alpha Strike Technique and makes the situation worse. There is a potential fix though that allows the nerf to stay, but still provides a counter tactic against Alpha Strike Techniques used by light fighters. I'll leave it to the pro's to figure out what that tactic actually involves. Because it requires a revert of a nerf to something else.
No not my hornet! also they should give the arrow's second shield back. With the overall shields nerfs it really hard to recover from any small mistake.

My man what game are you playing? Gladius took us 3 HH turrets to take down with gimbles on and a good 10 seconds of sustained fire to take down. You buff the Gladius health you are putting it into the med fighter range for survivability. It already has decent dps and now has the ability to pull away from the F7C Mk 2. Light fighters gotta stay light fighters, not toe to toe brawlers. If your staying nose to nose with ships that have large DPS you deserve to pop. Gotta get away from LF's being the only ship that "should be viable" for dogfighting. they should be great in packs, but solo, your gonna die unless your better equipped in skills and go toe to toe with another LF. The Gladius speed boost is great, because it gives it the ability to try to get a better position on targets like the Hornet when the Gladius gets overwhelmed, puts it more in its role as support and positional. There not called superiority fighters my friend, there called Light Fighters. Maybe the Gladius pops easy against other LF's because they don't have the agility/speed advantage, but is that wrong? Shouldn't that be dictated at that point by skill? What really needs to happen? Ballistics need a nerf to shield penetration to like 10%. The fact that you can pop a ship before it's shields are down is not realistic or logical.
Old Flight model was less pay to win !! Good Pilot could fly anything nearly and take out someone in the F8C if they put in the hours.... now you just buy a hornet... shit flight model get rid of this shit and focus on server meshing !!
@@Ver9jl I dunno man, when lights were meta it really made combat rote. Now after all this MM stuff, just to push back towards that meta seems like one step forward and one and a half back. The concept of balancing all these ships for AC, PVE, & PVP with crap servers just seems like a massive waste of resources. Anyway, always appreciate your content.
Light fighter should be the most maneuverable and therefore the most capable, “meta” if you will. This means a pilot with *adequate* skill should be able to beat every other less maneuverable fighter. The skill gap should be “how many and for how long can you make mistakes? Does the less maneuverable pilot have the skill to force the lighter fighter into making mistakes and how quickly do they need to do this?” There’s no way around this without making a DPS race, Rick paper scissors, skill independent game. The more damage a ship does the less tanky it should be within its class. So a high dps light fighter is less tanky than a lower dps light fighter but a high dps medium fighter should be more tanky than a low dps light fighters, and so on. This is at least a good *starting* philosophy.
no a light fighter should stick to its intended targets. other light fighters and bombers. it should not be a one ship kill all like the previous flight model cancer.

Still waiting for flight/ targeting model to settle before putting DCS level hours in but this is an excellent analysis channel- subbed.
Size of the ESP bubble is extremely important for MKB players, especially so depending on how you set VJoy. Much less so for joysticks.
Any idea how to circumvent that in 3.23? Or we have to wait till 3.24.
What is the dampener effect on aiming tho? What does it actually do when increased?
Gladius needs nose gun to be size 4 and the titan needs its nose gun put down to 3, weird a courier ship has more dps than a dedicated fighter
Alternately they could fly more like they look they should fly. That the Titan can stay nose on target when dealing with smaller more nimble craft is wrong.

You got shit backwards, light fighters should pay the price when engaging medium fighters
And then start inverting with heavy and attack ships, due to mobility limits, to drop-off as larger ships shrug off the smaller lasers.
