I would say the Japanese are those who knows the least about music, as had been said many times before but okay. They don't know what new wave and gothic means but still do them. And then gets shocked when you take them to a gothic club. All this music has a history, but they don't know shit about the history. That's why they think its enough to say you're gothic or punk, but not drink blood or do any of the scene activity around midnight. They're still a parent abiding kid who drink milk and go to bed early and live boring lives. They can look intense, but are the most boring people you can run into. A punk should be different than a Westlife fan. Get on the right track kids.. 😂
I deejayed for over 30 years, radio, clubs, mobile. I learned to like all kinds of music. Dead or Alive always brought the dance floor to a frenzy! By the way, I have a huge record collection, but I only bought one concert video in my life. It was this one. Oh yeah. Add this to your trivia. Dead or Alive joins a very small, elite group of bands that never had a slow song or ballad as one of their hits. Chuck Berry and George Thorogood are two of my favorites that also fit that criteria. Heh David, "In to deep" did get to 14 on the british charts. Could be classed as a minor hit, it was diffently a ballady/slow thing from them. Not a favorite of mine, but who cares. youthquake was one of my high rotation albums at the time of release. Miss the days of looking forward to a band/artist releasing a song/album. Todays music biz isn't exciting like it use to be. Today's kids will probably say the same thing a s we say in 30 yrs time. Thanks Pete for the memories, glad I was a fan
