- I was our shopping with my girlfriend and she wanted to look at shoes, I saw these and thought they could pass for skateboarding shoes. After seeing how cheap they were I had to see if they could perform as well as Skate shoes.

I skated these and another pair of reebok high tops in the past few years. Great value. Super glue the stiches and the parts of the lower laces that break (once they are broken in and adjusted to where they will remain) and you have a great skate shoe that didnt cost much.

The BB4000 is an '80s basketball shoe. Not surprised that they skated well, lots of '80s basketball shoes do.

Fun Fact:
Prior to Adidas letting Reebok go, Reebok was actually planning on getting back to skateshop's shelves.
Man, that DGK collab was everything.
Reebok totally got fleeced on the come up. Every other basketball shoe brand/sports shoe brand is at the top.
Fun fact: Kareem Campbell skated Reebok’s in some of his classic video parts from the 90s.
Reebok Club C 85s are unironically my favorite skate shoes. They're also almost always available for $30 or less.

I got pair of these for about the same price and I've been skating in them too
I ve been skating these for a while actually. The leather flick isnt as grippy on older decks as with suede, but apart from that the shoe is better than a lot of skate shoes, if you like stable soles. Also durability wise its pretty good, compared to any other leather skate shoe.

Skated a few pairs of the all black low tops. They lasted about 3 weeks. For 25$ you can’t beat it. The Ross close to me has tons of vans and some Nike Sb.

In the 80s we skated shoes exactly like that. The first Jordans and Converse Weapons were popular among others.

I've been wearing BB4600s for decades. This new version the 'Hi 2' is by far the cheapest both in price and quality. It's still a decent shoe and better than most at this price point. The leather quality is way down compared to the previous generations of BB4600s and they also took the foam out of the midsole, it's just a criss-cross rubber structure now. As a cheap skate shoe these are totally worth a shot but don't expect a high quality leather high-top even when compared to previous BB4600s.
I can find actual skate shoe brands at Ross for way less than skate shops sell them for, the shoes are the exact same but still cheap.

Great video. Sometimes I can afford skate shoes. Sometimes I can't. But you can skate anything if it's decent materials. Look at Tom Penny skating suede Timberland work boots.
found a pair of adio kenny andersons at ross back in the day, for 25 bucks i was skating for 4 months on a pair which was huge when your parents are sponsoring you haha

Reeboks are very underrated for the price and what you get for it. The Reebok workouts or ex-0 fits would probably have more impact protection and comfort compared to these. Club c’s would prolly be the best for skating in my opinion though.

I’ve been fortunate enough to find vans skate/pro shoes at Ross, just found a pair of Vans SlipOn skate recently.
Picked up some pop cush old school vans with the rubber toe cap the other day at Ross 😅 and a month before that I found some Gilbert Crocketts. Sometimes they got some shiii
I don't skate but I plan to get some Royals like these down the line, sadly the website messed up my order on black friday and didn't get the ones in navy for a great discount, but hey, I found some 50% off Stormy Weather Sk8-hi color theory's instead, which I wanted way more.
I know a lot of people will recommend paying a bit more for better leather and/or construction, there's defiitely sweetspots for bang/buck, but my shoes last me so long either way, and I don't mind having a pair to get messy in if they ever start creasing like crazy.
The Forums these remind you of are my favorite shoe of all time, so it's kinda hard to say no to this look at this price.
I love skating flat ground so the shoes i grabbed from ross normally are beginner practice shoes and for cruising around.

I would rock those everyday! They are 🔥🔥🔥 and Super glue on the laces. Every new pair I just put super glue. They never get bad anymore :)

try the malls in san diego sometimes they have bargains there like ross dress for less dddiscounts and burlington and marshalls have some shoes but limited on their styles sometimes you can find some really good skate shoes at those stores try indoor swapmeets or swapmeets in san diego.

i found some etnies that i cant find anything about at ross, they were 20 dollars and they are pretty nice, vulc sole and suede upper the flick is really nice i like them.

A friend of mine was buying $35 Reebok shoes from Ross too for a while. I think it was a budget thing but he seemed to skate pretty decent in them. He went through them really quick though. Every time I saw him, he basically had a new pair lol.

You know, maybe you could review more shoes like these - meaning shoes that aren't expected to be skate shoes, then turn out to be ok. I know you reviewed the Air Force 1 high and some others. But it's just an idea. You never know what gem could be lying there for a reasonable price.
I had to skate some running adidas my dad gave me 20+ years ago and sprained my ankle down a drop like nothing lol
I have gotten from there dvs, emerica, lakais, Adidas, Nike sb ( koston 2s , janoski, P-rods) supra, dc. The biggest steal was the dvs- $13-$15 dollars, emericas for 20, the kostons for $20😳 and the rest for like less than 35🫣

No reason to buy budget shoes when Accel and Accel Slims go on sale for $30-40. You can get pretty much any colorway if you wait a few months after it drops

You can get real skate shoes this cheap though. Just check out what's on sale. You could get white Emerica Temple's for $25 recently. I don't personally see any reason to settle for cheap big-name-brand shoes not made for skateboarding unless you really really like how they look or sth

I got a pair of Etnies at ross,
They lasted me like 5 months without even skating them. They looked perfect at the beginning tho... but quality sucks and I really loved them. The inside of them are like rotten and you can si the inside now
