Tony Hawk needs to be talked about like he's a goat in the sports genre. He's up there with Michael Jordan, Lebron, Babe Ruth, etc. He really did have a whole generation loving to skateboard and introduced so many new people. Tony Hawk is just an all around great person and a beast at skating.

But here's the thing, some people kill over these shoes, of course some people think these shoes are worth several hundred dollars. A sneakerhead may not think deeper into it. If that's your hobby, fine. But the only reason these sell for a thousand dollars is because they chose to make 5 of them and it still only costs like $20 to make them. Just like their mass produced shoes. And even their mass produced shoes are very overpriced because of marketing. People are told they're worth $200 so they accept it. If you want a cool pair of Jordans, get them but don't try to tell people they are actually worth $250. I would just say I had the money and I wanted them.

D SiLvER the reality is that the skate community perceives wealth in a negative way cuz most skaters are poor. So being the smart entrepeneur mofuka tht he is ,he faked his reaction to appear more humble than what he really is to avoid losing a sense of connection with his less fortunate skater friends and most importantly his future clientele. Remember that he's here to promote a video game that will probably make him millions . Don't be gullible.

I think its because Tony Hawk has more money than the Brand he goes to. Outside of Vans alot of the other well known skate brands dont make a really high amount. I think its more of a collab at this point for Tony and the brand thats making his shoes.
