I agree. Neural DSP has included a Transpose knob on all their plugins since the Petrucci and I think it’s pretty good. However, the Transpose knob on this plugin is unreal. My guitar is in Drop C and when I drop it 6 semitones with the knob, it sounds so great.
Dude! What I wouldn't give to find local guitar lessons that teach your style of playing. ABSOLUTELY SICK BROTHER! Thanks for what you do teach though. Love this channel man!
Dude I know I'm a nobody, but I am a pretty gnarly bassist that really likes slap and thumping I would absolutely love to put some bass to some of those riffs in that intro!! I'm sure you get plenty of recognizable people wanting to be a part of your stuff but I figured I'd give it a shot
I could never own one of these devices but it is fun to watch you fine tune it and the tone is killer. But sir your playing is masterful. Thanks for the great video as always man and take care.
I've tried the trial it has some of the best pitch shifting I've ever heard. went from Drop C down to Double Drop E (I have a guitar already set up for this but it was a test) and it sound as if was naturally tuned to it, I even compared between the two. In a mix I legit do not think most would notice. My experiences are Headrush Drop Tune & Gojira Drop Tune Presets. Also the tightness of the low end and tonal clarity is genuinely INCREDIBLE. my money- TAKEN.
Hey Ray, love the plug-in! question for ya if you have the time. So long story short. I have a single KRK Classic 5 studio monitor, and use that for my all my amp sims and interfaces (Pod Go). Not crazy about how it sounds. Just sounds compressed and “weak”. Been considering getting a powered PA monitor because they always sound really good through those. Something kinda like a Harbinger 12’. Would you recommend doing that or buying another desk monitor, Would that even help the tone? Thanks!
I can’t wait till my Kiesel 9 string is finished so I can run through some of these that have released during the build process. Along with sharing because a lot of people are kind of…terrible at dialing a 9 but I don’t blame them that much because they are a different beast to try and tame so to say.
I mean all this new amp sims sounds very great for metal like the Bogren ot this one! but i would like to see more amp sims like the Blackstar st. james, an amp sims the can give you that super smooth gain for leads that kind of gain of blues boutique amps For example like carr amps, or supro or DR.Z or many others, there are too many metal amp sims
Pretty sick sounding plugin! Extra props to Mike and Courtney for actually doing what many Americans said they would do when Trump got elected and moved to Canada!
So for reals, I'm about to make an amp sim purchase. Would you recommend buying this one or the STL Tones Andy James? I can only afford one and want huge, pro sounding rhythm tones for drop D tuning.
Honestly you can’t wrong with either. I love both so much. However, the mix wave spiritbox is leaps and bound more detailed and elaborate. In the Andy James you really only get two good sounds (lead and rhythms) but those two sounds are realllllly good. If I had to pick here in 2023 I’d go with spiritbox 100000%
hey charles, I have absolutely no clue on how to use these type plugins (and the "archetype" ones), I would love if you make a little tutorial in what hardware, software and gear necessary for these. Greeting from Brazil man, love your content.
It has a little less versatility in terms of less distortion pedal options & lack of a wham pedal but If you are playing booty cheek low tuning there is no tighter plugin out there. The cleans and ambience options here imo sound far better than any offering Gojira has. I'm going off of the presets and about a 2-hour playing session. Less presets & Lack of built in IR loader kind sucks but What it has is fantastic. I'd pick this over Gojira if you asked me rn. Being able to tweak so much of the signal chain and move it around is pretty awesome. I have used Gojira / Nameless and Nolly as my go-tos for years, but I think the new kid in town is a badass and definitely is worth a shot.
@@xanderraymondcharles I have tried the otto audio and I am one of the few that didn't get it right when dialing in the tones or just didn't like it. I found it sounding digital on he top end. I don't know what you would say, but I think there is currently an inflation with amp simulations. The market is so saturated with all these products, that I cannot follow new releases anymore. And they are not much different from each other either.
I don't get excited anymore. There's the same 5150 inspired amp sim coming out every week that sounds the same, same effects, same layout, similar IRs too. The only "innovation" we've got this year was NAM. I'm happy with my Nolly plugin and I can get the same exact sound. I also have the free 5150 from the Roots plugin and I bought the Fluff 2C as well and feel like it's way more than I actually need. All these amp sims coming out constantly aren't adding anything valuable to the market.
