Bangalore was a haven with its beautiful trees spread across the city. Its popularity is proving to be it's nemesis with the mindless commercialization,.I spent my childhood at Bangalore and I feel so sorry when I look at the destruction of nature which seems irreversible.
Thanks for visiting Raghavendra stores and it’s great to see Narayan feature in this video. So many memories from this place. Every bite into that idli brings back my childhood memories, that laid back Malleswaram railway station and those trees forming canopies make this place a perfect Bengaluru setting!
Kripal, I recently introduced both your channes to my Ma. It took her some days to get used to them and now she's hooked. I am often asked to update her on the new episodes that are published and then she reclines and spends a good few hours travelling, vicariously! Off late, she has also been asking me, "When r we travelling to Karnataka to taste these traditional gems? 😏🤪
Really enjoyed the review, especially the shavige bath as it a bit laborious to make at home. I think we South Indians have a deep liking for idlis wherever we go especially dunked into an awesome gatti chutney as Raghavendra Stores provide and even in these pandemic times, owing to financial challenges that they might have had, have still kept the prices just as economical, kudos to them. Thanks once again Sir 🙏
madam..shavige bath is very easy to prepare..boil 15 mins bowl of hot water..put shavige in hot water for 4 mins..take a drainer and drain all water n do whatever oggarane you need ..thats all
You get dried rice noodles. Soak it in hot water and it's ready for the tempering. Infact Shavige bhat is easier and less messier than Idli vada and dosa.
Idly vade should be name as the national breakfast of India .. na matter where you are and what you are you cannot say no to awesome idly vade … thanks to our ancestors
My Friend's dad aged 76 , follows you so piously, that he ventures out to every place after you post your new video. He's not on any social media , but he really thanks you for your great work, admires you and your descriptiveness of food. Regards from Mr Raghunatha Rao !
I had the privilege to stay near Raghvendra Stores for almost 8 years. I used to go there every now and then. I really admire the taste of hot and soft idlies, crunchy vada etc. Shavige bath is one among the favourites. Thanks for the video... I really want to go there again. And also there is a similar tiffen centre at Chamarajpet 2nd main road called Shabari Tiffen. You may kindly visit there and taste the offerings.
Hey Kripal, thank you very much for these Malleswaram vlogs! Shri Raghavendra has divine Idlis and Vadas! Malleswaram - simple people, simple eateries! Your Vlogs are MOUTHWATERING VLOGS!
Kripal sir favorite breakfast is only idally,Veda and dosa, sevega up ma and Keri bath. People who won't like some dish they start eating after watching this episode, kripal sir explain about the ingredients is clear about each dish. Thank you 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👍👍
The way you speak and use words to describe the goodies served brings water to my mouth and at times it becomes really very difficult for me (no wonder you have such a following and from all age groups). Problem is that being in Mumbai am so far away else would have definately tasted all these wonderful goodies. But all these eateries which you have featured I have made a bucket list whenever I get a chance to be in Bengaluru I will try it out. Until then I am very happy to see you savouring them. Keep it up 👍🏻. Stay safe
Finally you visited Raghavendra Stores. My sister stay near to the shop and whenever we go to Bangalore we compulsorily visit the shop. the idli with the pudina chutney in Raghavendra is something no one can match. Their Kara bath is also very delicious.
Seriously I have been Eating here for Many Years but till Day I was not able to give such a good Description. The way you describe the food makes our mouth fill with Water.
"It does not take much to be happy", very tightly said Kripal!! Watching this video, makes me want to drive to Bengaluru from Hyderabad, to eat the idli and vada at Sri Raghavendra Stores!! Kudos to you 🎊🎊
During pandemic many people helped fir the needy. Now you are helping many small eateries by the way visiting them and publishing in your channel. This is a great help for all the small vendors and businesses. Please keep continue and support them. God bless you for the wonderful gesture and help.
Indeed, their chutney is unique and, so delicious! They offer good quality and quantity with reasonable price on the menu. My go-to place for comfort food for breakfast! It’s truly a joy to just watch you relishing the food, Kripal Sir. And, of course explaining what every ingredient brings in to make it even special! The videography and editing skills of the team makes it even beautiful to watch!

It's 2 am here in London and I miss eating idli back in bangalore..I have recommended my brit friends to watch your channel to get them a glimpse of blore food delicacies..especially idli vada :)...
Kripal ji Thanks for the wonderful video. This place may be small but the OWNERS' HEART IS VERY LARGE. They serve not just food but love also. Most hygienic joint in such a cramped space. Whenever I go there I just don't miss to eat for the past may be more than 10 years
I have been to this place many times, and yes idli vada is their USP. Competitive pricing but taste is heavenly. If you are idli lover, this is a must visit. But I feel their Chow Chow Bhaath is the hidden gem. For me, if you are unsure of trying a food outlet, just order Uppittu first. If that is good, it has passed the test, you can go ahead and order other foods. It's such a simple dish, but if any outlet messes it up, I won't have confidence to order any other food there 😜.

Malleshwaram station reminds us of good old RK Narayan's "Malgudi" days which is portmanteau of 2 beautiful old Bangalore localities of Malleshwaram and Basavangudi!!
Wow, truly awesome, brought back a lot of old memories of 90s. Glad to see Narayana taking forward the legacy from Thatha. I forgot Thatha's name. His son used to work in Philips. This place was our everyday hangout. Hot soft Idli and crispy hot vada, can still sense the flavor and the taste. Personally felt the Idli, Vada and Chutney from here was any day better than Veena stores, though we used to hangout there as well. Strong hot filter coffee used to complete our evening snacks and sometimes our dinner as well. Thanks for shooting here, felt nostalgic seeing the place and especially the Humble Narayana. best wishes to them always.
Sri Raghavendra Stores, Veena Stores, Surya Refreshments - either of these 3 from last so many decades. Simply from the heart and still my go to places when we visit Malleswaram. From what I know there is a common link between these 3 stores.....look forward to Kripal finding this out :-)
The same idly vade i have been eating from many years gets a new perspective with the narration and body lanugage....amazing personality kiripal . Keep churning more !
Sir, I have been thinking of asking you to visit an eatery in Trivandrum for the longest time. I had visited this place 17 years ago and I am not sure of it is still functional. It was a small eating joint called " Buharis". It was facing a prison compound. I am sure there are many Buharis but I would like you to visit this particular place, I am sure you won't be disappointed
Privileged to stay close to this place. Had these idlies last time on Wednesday (21st Morning) and viola! your story pops up. Felt more gratified to stay in the hallowed neighborhood! Thanks 👍
Dear sir, you touched our heart by visiting our Malleswarams Amrith Ice cream and Raghavendra stores. Heartfealt thanks to your visits to these old world but simple food 'addas' you bring to us. Remember these are also go to places for people on the move like autodrivers, salesmen.. which giv good food at low cost.
Great job, good work, the more you love your work, the more tastier your food will be,keep doing the same and win millions of heart, people very lucky who stay in your area and nearby areas...
Basically I am from Andhra Pradesh near to Bangalore, still I am remember most of the times we used to have breakfast when we roam Bangalore with my father, after my dad was passed out, we didn't get a chance to taste again here with idli.....but definitely one I will eat my favourite idli once again there itself.....

Thank you Kripal for showing the Raghavendra Stores. In 2010 I was at walkable distance from this store. So this is where I had my regular breakfast. The taste is really good. At that time I was not aware that this hotel is so famous now. I am missing the idly and kharabhat from this place
Kripal, I used to be an avid reader. My favourite authors were Alistair McLean, Arthur Hailey, Frederick Forsyth and Robert Ludlum. I was literally addicted to each one's novels. With the same degree of addiction I watch each one of your episodes and derive the same level of pleasure and satisfaction I used to derive from those greats' works. Thank you Yaar. When it comes to culinary commentary, you are in the same class as those stalwarts.
The place also adds the charm. Malleswaram railway station/Bangalore East railway station still exude the old Bangalore charm. Add good food and u have a winner all the way
Hi kripal bhai, I am really happy to see your vedio in my scrolling and you are really really intense full who express the real experience of having food genuinely. I really enjoy your Vedios. I am from Hyderabad. Take care of you. Bye.❤️
My husband has very fond memories of this place. He grew up just a street away and was his go-to place to satiate his idli cravings. Now we live in the US and he longs for this taste. I am glad that I came across this video and now can brave an earnest attempt to emulate this iconic dish. By the way, I realized that I should never watch your videos with an empty stomach... you literally savor every bite you take and the audience is left feeling helpless!!
Kripalji u said beautifully regarding idli basics mY be same but combination is different. Class explanation n review of Sri Raghavendra stores idli etc. Ur a master unbeatable review of any food item in any part of India love ur comments
The idli is porous enough to assimilate the coconut chutney which makes it a sumptious breakfast. Topping it up with a hot cuppa of filter coffee makes it an eclectic to meal!
Kripal, I keep waiting for new episodes and i am not sure how often you do the episodes. After watching recent episodez i started making idli and dosa often ..I love every episode of yours..keep doing what you are doing
I think this video is one of Kripal's best. Loved how the food looked..so fresh and delectable. I saw a Raghavendra dosa joint just across the road. Please go there too Kripal.
Hope you enjoy this delightful breakfast outing to one of Bengaluru’s popular tiffin shops; take care, stay safe and strong. Happy eating!

The place also adds the charm. Malleswaram railway station/Bangalore East railway station still exude the old Bangalore charm. Add good food and u have a winner all the way
Sir namaskara you introduced idli point as Raghavendra store is 👌beautiful
You can try the idli with white butter @ Shankar Narayana refreshments, Jp nagar 2nd phase
Wow finally you visited what I requested for. I hope you enjoyed the best idlis in town
Ive been visiting this place since my childhood
The idlis are flying fast and furious.Simply irresistible, sir🥰
There are many underrated, unappreciated places which are praiseworthy. Surprisingly they don't even serve Sambhar!
Sir explanation is excellent
Having this mouth watering idli from almost 3 decades and taste is just the same. Awesome 👌
Kripal ji, Glad to see that you came to our Malleshwaram for reviewing the tiffens available at the very popular Sri Raghavendra Stores!
Wonderful video Sir… absolutely loved watching you describe this amazing place in Malleshwaram… 👏👏
Ur kannada mathadidu super agi irthada. My favourite recipie tanx sir
Sasive Pata Pata in that oil.😀😀Vade goes crunch, crunch, crunch Too good a description 👌Kripal Sir
Lol
You have thought me how to enjoy food in each bite.. keep up the great work.. thank you

Very well explained about the great idlis in Bengaluru ❤️loved it
The idli is porous enough to assimilate the coconut chutney which makes it a sumptious breakfast. Topping it up with a hot cuppa of filter coffee makes it an eclectic to meal!
Waw finally you came hear. I am so so happy. Very quality food they serve.
Idly chutney looks sooo yummmm❤️
Its my favv
I can have it everyday... For breakfast lunch n dinner... Soul food❤️
