In this episode, Mark Wiens and I visit two South Bengaluru’s tiffin bastions, Brahmins’ Coffee Bar and Vidyarthi Bhavan. The latter was on his list, he had seen videos of, including, to quote him, “their legendary dosa stack”. Brahmins though was a revelation, as he tucked in the soft idli and crunchy yet soft vade. Followed by the “crispiest yet fluffiest dosa” he’s ever tasted, this made for a sumptuous, satisfying morning.

Idli is the greatest invention ever by humankind!
Even dosa
Agreed!!! Specially bangalore idlis
Following this series on both channels button
🙌
Boy! how do you even come up with sentences like - "The froth conveys the expression of the coffee on to your palette". I am fascinated.
“Idli is like island” … sweet analogy. Who would not get addicted to Kripal’s vlogging ❤
Eloquence meets Enthusiasm. Loving this 😍
Thanku Mr. Kripal for taking the rich food Heritage of Bangalore to the world through Mark.

Kripal sir. I have been a huge fan of yours and mark weins since long . Though you cannot take Mark to any parts of the north Karnataka becoz of yours and his schedule and itinerary. But do take him to relish on Some Savaji khanavalis, girmitt , and Manddal vagrini , mirchi bajji around malleshwaram and rajajinagar . Iam sure , he will like it and helps citizens to explore these eateries.
🙏😊👍
I wish one could have, it was a very tight schedule.
Such a pleasure to watch you both, the way how Mark keeps smiling throughout the video enjoying every moment along with Kripal walking him through the detailing of all the food items, such a delightful video watching experience. Looking forward to the next part 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Kripal's explanation is next level
When I first saw Mark in Coorg, i was wishing if Kripal Amanna collaborates it would have been a dream combination. And here you go, my wish came true and both legends are together.
I was also expecting Kripal sir for Coorg and Mysore but some other person who doesn't have any local knowledge accompanied.
I like the way he laughs. So innocent
Tasting buds 😋 and explanation of kripaal sir and the expressions that he gives is vera level 👌
The organisation, system, the work efficiency, work discipline and work integrity , hygiene standards , economical pricing are all a combo package unique to Bangalore cafes / darshini's/ restaurants in particular .....and South India in general 😂.
Two legends together, great moment.
Story on your plate is fantastic, and we enjoyed your conversation, our stomach is full now, thankyou.
Kripal Ammanna seems to be on a ‘high’ around Mark😂
Why No Khara Bath at Brahmins coffee Bar .
Mark missed it .
Take him again there .
How can you miss It .
This is like the greatest video I have ever seen
GREETINGS FROM ST.LOUIS , MISSOURI U.S.A 🇺🇸

Don’t give away that “Idli Island” to anyone, India needs it😀
Two stalwarts ,what an amazing experience tasting and enjoying some of the different dishes .GREAT . Thank you Kripal and team for this wonderful series🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I really just want to know kripal sir's educational background his vocabulary and sentences are tremendous 👏🏻👏🏻
Mark weins got some sleeper build 🔥
Why you always prefer Coffee.? You can taste Tea also
NEXT STOP IS MTR!!!!!!!
It was so nice watching you both. What an expression.
Yaam petra inbam peruga ivvayagam..loosely translated from Tamil it means 'let the world also experience the pleasures that i have experienced' . That is the sense with which Kripalji is introducing Mark to the rich culinary heritage of the country..his sense of pride when he describes the food to Mark is almost fatherly..

@@70newlifeSo much hate for your own countrymen and the places in your own country??? The person above just invited him to his state. What is wrong about it?
Waiting for mark weins bangalore ep-3
Mr Amanda : Do you ever review B’lore restaurants that specialize in Western cuisines ? Someone from Mark Wiens’ hometown ( Phx, AZ ) planning to visit B’lore soon.
Our indian food and culture is very great but the bad thing is we have prove our shelves that is the problem. We taught tredition to the world now we are trying to prove that. That is our KHARMA.
YOu need two coffees to wash down that one greasy thick dosae in Vidhyarthi Bhavan and then a tall glass of water.
Mouth watering idli
And vada
🙏😋
Even though your videos are enjoyable you fail to mention the wait time for normal people and make it seem that even for normal people things will be as easy it is for you to get food at such popular places
Namma Bengaluru ❤
Kripal,
I am probebly the only Indian who has followed Mark Wiens from his first ever video posted ages ago.
He was younger Mark then washing his own clothes in the washroom.
Chef Hemant
Nammaaaa bengaluru
Super food experience 👌❤️👍💯
U should do thailand malaysiya tour with mark
The way mark said 'BENGALURU' it touched my heart ❤ 1:14
Awesome food awesome video ❤
Krupal sir you are a poet of food world
07:24 Kripal sir was trying very hard not to talk in between:D
Sir please visit Brahmins cafe near appani canteen Hanumanthnagar. Opposite post office. This place gives the best quality food. These days we feel this is better than vidyarthi bhavan also..
Super, Mark met Kripal who does an outstanding job with our local cuisine. And totally, whenever I have the chance to come to the Basavangudi area, I plan my day around both VB and Brahmins, like my other friends do as well.
Good one.👌
You cannot get this anywhere else. Definitely not in the US
I can listen to you talk about food the whole day! It's like someone writing poetry for their loved one ✨ And Vidyarthi Bhavan dose - Always toooo good ❤️ Mouth starts watering immediately 😂
Joel was very true in his appreciating kripalani for the language describing each food 🎉
I am a Bengalurian and I like having Tea and not Coffee. Not everyone really needs coffee as per the incorrect assumption.
That's why he said "Mostly "
Super Like , without even watching! Having Mark with Kripal in Namma Bengaluru is just incredible!
I think no one better than kripal sir could have explained him or explored the wonderful food to mark..really enjoying the series
Uncle ji you have visited my Grandpa's area in B'lore.Good review with Mr.Mark.
Mark Weins was not born when this hotel was started...
Hotel was 20 years old when Mark was born...
Show him the taste of real Naati "leg soup" aka "Paaya soup" as well !
Super 🌹👌
When simplicity meets simplicity both are enjoying it to the fullest
Appreciate it don't exaggerate
Excellent series sir
Two legends together ❤️
Very nice 😍😍😍😍

May you continue to thrive for 150-200 years, blessing us with your insights and vision. Thank you, Kripal sir, for your incredible skills and dedication.
Tamil culture created all this, rest merely adopted it and boasting about it, Tamil tribe is greater than rest of India x 100
He looks like Sunil Chethri
Kripal this is a greatest place for IDLI in Namma Bengaluru amazing expressions and detailing of you two 😋😛😊🙏👍🙏
Legendary Place for Masala Dosai 🙂
Banglore haven both are food culture representatives
How you sacrificed the taste of Sambhar It is like Ragham Thalam and Pallavi!
Awesome!
19:16 why are they laughing like idiots 😂😂😂😂
18:51 the third guy just came over a dose🤣🤣🤣
I think he just loves over reacting .
Thanks for not taking him to Veena Stores and CTR. BCB and VB are also my favorites
Veena and CTR better
Kya sir ...idli dosa hi khate he aap hamesha😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It's Unbelievable, Really 😃😃
Brahmins cafe food best ..
Amazing, amazing vlog from two legends. Love from Canada
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you.
Best food vloggers
"Vidhyarthi Bhavan "...Over Hyped place in the world... 😂
Gujju mumbaikar spotted. Go revel in your cheese, carrot, corn dosa. 😂😂
The customer service is utter crap.
To be brutally honest the appreciation that this eatery gets is plumb undeserving.
@@70newlife No he is a sambhar guy from neighbouring state. So, he's upset about Chutney!
@@srinivasank613 Yes.. others are doing R&D about where I am from.. Fact is in Bangalore Tazza Thindi, SLV and many other places are giving excellent service with delicious idli, dosa rather than this over-hyped expensive unhygienic crap ...
Brahmin s Tiffin is any day superior to V B

The 2 best food vloggers.. ❤❤
Brahmins cafe is not like before too much costly and taste is average 😂
Is overhyped to you ..but not for all my dear brother 🙏
Reminded me of Ratatouille movie. How to taste the first bite is important. Kripal is an expert. Mike follows his instructions without hesitation 😂
Don't use movies as your reference points. Life well lived has enough to guide you.

25:31 how come empty seats in Vidhyarti Bhavan?..
Closing time, most likely
When we sat down to eat, it was near closing time.
Although i m a great fan of Bangalore Thindi offerings but this melt in mouth idly doesn't appeal to me much as I m more inclined towards Tamil style idly or even in Bangalore we get soft idlis but a Lil bite is there ....Like in ID chain in Tamilnadu that's my favourite or even sarvana or Sangeetha but I liked Brahmins too infact more than Veena s ( my post is in no way to discriminate between states just my personal preferences on softness of idli)
Difference between rice vs idly rava.... Apparently, kannadigas don't like TN style idli...
Same here we Tamilians don't prefer kannada food
@@srinivasank613Same here. We Kannadigas don't prefer Tamil food.
Taste differs from TN and KA
Its individual opinion
But 🤐Kaveri water🤐 Bread & Butter Jobs --its incredible
I just posted here saying my preference for softness of idli that i don't like or what I like it was in no way to keep one state over or to discriminate 🙏😊 moreover I m a Punjabi living in Punjab I really don't know much about political differences between two states n i toh like all state foods but kissi ka kucch zaada accha lagta hai kissi ka kucch
Vidyarti bhavana hotel's chutney is not flavourful, it's like they make it only one ingredient that is putaani.
Unnecessary exaggeration.
