I tried everything, cleaners, steel wool etc, but a cheap can of oven cleaner does the job, spray it on and let it soak a full day and it wipes clean like a new tub!!
Did you use it on the bathtub or oven? Because I read here on these comments that if you leave it too long on a bathtub surface, it'll ruin the surface of the bathtub
I use easy off in the blue can myself. Spray it on let it sit for 15 minutes then go back with a Mr Clean magic sponge to scrub it off. Works like a charm for me. Happy cleaning : )
My mom soaked my tub with vinegar for 2 days when she visited. I thought it was ridiculous and wouldn't work because we had already tried all the top brands. Smelled TERRIBLE, but our tub looks brand new. So if you have patience and a nose clip, its awesome on everything.
I have the same bottom on my tub. I always use ez off the blue one. Next time leave it on for a whole day. The same thing for the stove and it’s parts. Next day it will come off with ease. Back in the day I would spray the whole thing up with ez off. The next day I would take the stove outside and hose it down. Look like new. This was when I was an apartment manger of 84 units.👍🏻😎

The reason why it didn't completely work is because when you have stains that old you need a green "scotch bright" fiber ,and the way you do it is: you spray the easy off on the tub and let it dry for at least 2 hrs., then you put your tenis shoes on, step INSIDE the tub , you put the green fiber on the tub and step on it while scrubbing the tub with all your weight, it doesn't scratch the tub (unless its porcelain then you need to go softer), its hard work at the beginning but once you get the tub clean, a weekly follow up will keep it looking great!!
One lady used kaboom soaking paper towels and leaving on all night. Thats just bleach so ... To be honest these treads are a menace. We shouldn't need all these chemicals & scrubbing to clean a bath huh. But thank you for the video x
Mask and gloves should always be used when using easy off as it contains sodium hydroxide which is extremely caustic and can affect not only your skin but your respiratory and nervous system. I own an operate a small cleaning business and have found the blue or yellow work great. I use the yellow because it does work on ovens as opposed to the blue one, so why buy two different products? Let it sit for 1 hour or more and scrub with a brush, those sponges you used are for light cleaning/maintenance and will make your job harder. Us in the cleaning business will use "harsher" methods on the initial cleaning (obviously not on stone or granite or any expensive finish), then will use lighter cleaners and methods for ongoing maintenance as the initial clean should have taken care of the gunk, that is also depending on the frequency of the tub being cleaned. Rule of thumb when cleaning is top to bottom, left to right or viceversa, S patterns when scrubbing/ wipping and tools and equipment in the middle of the area/room you are cleaning. If everyone would follow these rules, us house cleaner would be out of a job because it would make you, the home owner, cleaning a joy on how fast and effective it is to clean 😁😉
I've seen Mr Clean Erasers, not try to purchase it yet,Seeing it used on UA-cam, I'm going to buy it I've Bathtub cleaning issues.I miss my Baths. So wish me luck!!
SuperClean is great but it will not work on the tub stain that is shown in the video. I have the same problem and have tried it. Oven cleaner works the best. Muratic Acid does not work either.
Dont waste your money on expensive chemicals. Use dishwashing soap and pinesole. And use a hard drill brush. You can connect with any drill machine. It's only $6 Will clean any kind of stains. Positively.
I tried this last night, worked great. I used the yellow can of Easy Off, let it sit for 5 mins, and it worked wonders. It removed a layer of hardened, brown stuff that I probably pressed onto the tub, over a long time, by standing in the shower. Came out white as Jesus' robe during the Transfiguration. This is now my go to cleaner for the tub.
Don't do this it will strip it and make the color change. Then you will have to get it reglazed and that cost about 2 hundred bucks. . The glaze protects the tub and makes it look brighter so don't use oven cleaner.
I like when people don't edit the failed tries. It makes me appreciate her process and effort wven more. Thanks for the video
I LOVE that you included the "failed" attempt!!! Not everyone would do that so thank you!!

After finishing the spray can can you recycle it in blue bin?.
A 10:1 solution of water : SuperClean works best and no toxic fumes or acids/akalines.
SuperClean is great but it will not work on the tub stain that is shown in the video. I have the same problem and have tried it. Oven cleaner works the best. Muratic Acid does not work either.
After you use the oven cleaner use a brillo pad to scrub it off with not a magic eraser.
I did this and thought I was removing the anti-skid, but it was just cleaning it back to white like the tub.
those are adhesive nonslip rubber stickers,my moms always had in her tub,it's not part of the tub
Next time you are in a home store check out the bath tubs most are now made anti slip.
Cindy Ross
Wrong! Those are non slip pads that are made into the enamel coating.
Thank you!! Life saver!
Think the one in blue can is the one to use
Dont waste your money on expensive chemicals. Use dishwashing soap and pinesole.
And use a hard drill brush.
You can connect with any drill machine.
It's only $6
Will clean any kind of stains.
Positively.
Where can I get the blue clean because I just moved in a apartment bath tub just like that
You can find it on Amazon but I’ve seen both options at grocery stores.
I have a lot of iron in my water so the only thing that works for me is toilet bowl cleaner. Not sure what stains your removing but you could try it.
what material is your tub made from?
What brand oven cleaner in the blue can? Couldn't really see it all.
Easy Off :)
I tried this last night, worked great. I used the yellow can of Easy Off, let it sit for 5 mins, and it worked wonders.
It removed a layer of hardened, brown stuff that I probably pressed onto the tub, over a long time,
by standing in the shower.
Came out white as Jesus' robe during the Transfiguration.
This is now my go to cleaner for the tub.
So it this tub porcelain or fiberglass?
Wow! Thank you. I'll try it
Don't do this it will strip it and make the color change. Then you will have to get it reglazed and that cost about 2 hundred bucks. . The glaze protects the tub and makes it look brighter so don't use oven cleaner.
oven interiors are porcelain. I don't see a problem.
@@vilveyachke5103 But not all tubs are enameled. Some of them are fiberglass, some are plastic.
@@jsweevil She said her tub was enamel over metal. Use the magnet trick to find out.
Wow! Thanks for posting!
Thanks I was going to paint my shower 🤪 I will try today thanks again
Peroxide works also!
