    Changed G35 Valve Covers and now my IDLE is LOWER than my GPA
    In lasts video I switched out the spark plugs and the coil packs from my car due to some misfire and turns out there was oil inside my spark plug well. Therefore, we decided to tackle the issue and change the valve covers, but when it came down to turning the car on, well there was unexpected or rather expected surprise.

    You took off the throttle body. By you unplugging that you have to get it reset. Nobody mentions that in they videos. But great job. I like you adding all these mods. I hate the g's are expensive to get more horses.

      I agree your not suppose to take it off . Take it off complete with the upper . Unless you wanna waste your time doing a reset

      You can take off the throttle body and put it back on and it will be fine. What messes up the idle is if you even slightly touch the butterfly valve is fucked and have to do the relearn.

      @@societyplays9943 If you disconnect the battery first, before you unoplug anything. And don't fingerfuck the butterfly valve in throttle body then you don't have to waste your time relearning anything.

    Its either vacuum leak or a throttle relearn.

  • @macee1491

    Theres are lot of error in your installation. You dont need to apply the silicone gasket, you can only apply a thin coat on the corner of half moon as long as you torque the bolt in proper spec. The aftermarket valve cover is garbage, the main problem is the sparkplug seal , the oil will leak due to poor quality of seal. You need to reset the ECU by performing the throttle relearn procedure or using the Consult II of Nissan Dealership.

    I was guna seal the gasket on too but then i did some logical thinking and talked to a master tech , the sealer will litterally casue a leak 😲😢😤 only dab the timing cracks

    Look up the throttle reset function. You play with the gas pedal and the ignition and it resets your idle and throttle response.

      @mrau92me 3 роки тому

      For our G35, we bought Victor-Reinz (Dana) vc gaskets, and I did not even have to put gasket maker to get it to stay in the VCs. I'm quite positive Victor-Reinz was the oem gasket supplier for these engines. I used to be an engineer for Fel-pro and we used to quote annually to supply gaskets to Nissan and the drawings they would send us to quote by always had the Dana logo barely blacked out. They never gave us any of their business, so I'm quite sure it stayed with V-R.
