Just got my first ranger. 1994 Ford Ranger XL with 64,000 miles, one owner, no rust. I love the 4 speed manual and I can’t wait to start fixing it up.
Looks amazing, wish I could find a ranger with low miles and a good price, a lot of them today are crazy prices like 9,000 with a rusted bed and 140k miles

I had the same problem. Was looking forever until I finally found a decent one. 2008 Sport 4x4 with 130,000kms (80k mi) on it. Couldn't find one like it below $9500 but managed to get it for $7800. It's all manual locks and windows and everything but I love it. They are out there, just have to be patient. They are a popular truck.
I saw one for 11,000 and it wasn’t even 4x4 and had 297k on it
Got mine for 7500$ with 72k on it. 4x4 as well. Dont know how but I did
@@timothyc3662 how's the rust? That's the problem with mine being in Canada. Most of it isn't too bad but the rear wheel wells and front corners of the bed are toast

found a 98 4x4 XLT Ranger with 120,000 miles on it, best part its Manual & came with apple carplay & a big ol sub in the back. Felt like a kid when i got the title.
Just bought my first truck this week. 2006 ford ranger with 96,000 miles on it. I spent 10,000 and it is in perfect condition.

Wow, i have the exact same truck. 2011 sport 4x4 black. Bought it new 14 years ago with 18 miles, was still 25k$. Only has 49k miles now, never had a problem with it.

Just stumbled onto this video, lots of those mods ive wanted to do to my truck but ive mostly kept it original, i did add a seat cover for winter and it looks like an 80's bench seat.

I want to do some of these mods to my ranger like adding a small lift kit and fixing up the paint I jus t don’t know where to start with it and don’t have a good paying job other than a side gig mowing lawns

I have a 2004 ford ranger xlt with only 93,000 miles straight up mint
I had a 87 ford ranger with a 6 inch lift kit an 32 inch time with a 5 speed manual but it got totaled when it got hit hard on the passenger side
my first car was a 2005 ford ranger XLT 4x4 just an amazing car

My first was an 08. I wrecked it and bought a 2018 f150. I lemonned it was going to buy a 2022 f350. Too much money and waited 3 months and still no build date. Canceled it and bought a 2004.

With putting the 5 inch RC lift on your truck, did you have to turn the torsion keys up a little or at all to get the truck to sit level? Also is the truck completely level or a little lower in the front? Thanks
its most likely level, at least most lift kits are a level lift. meaning that they rear is lifted less than the front, because from factory the rear already sits higher, so a 5" Lift would lift the front end 5", and lift the rear 4".
No. It sits level and the torsion keys weren’t touched but can be adjusted for ride quality

Nice truck. I'm Hamilton. I have a 2010 Ford Ranger, grey. I would like to lift and add A/T tires. Wondering if you can help especially suggest where I can go to get it done right.
I understand this is a truck but my V6 4L is consuming about 20L per 100km. Do you think I can improve it's consumption?
Also is it possible to replace the side mirrors with custom towing mirrors?
I’ve seen tow mirrors done before yeah. You might be able to help fuel economy by leaving it stock, nice cruising tires, a tonneau cover and easy driving. I did my lift at Bakers 4x4 in st Catherine’s

What headlights and rear lights you have on the ranger
Spec-D tuning headlights and just search up LED C taillights for the ranger and they should come up!
u can remove the small plastic piece in the air filter box and it makes like 2 more hp lmao

What size spacers did you go with for the front and rear? How much of the lug did you have to cut off? Also did your rim come with holes or pockets on the back to where your lugs could fit into the back of the rim so you wouldn't of had to cut your factory lugs down to fit the rim on the spacer flush?
Rims didn’t come with that. I got 1-1/4” rear spacers I think. I have a video on them. And I took the tips off the of studs

@@6speedfletch did the 1.25" spacers in the rear help make the tires look even from looking at your truck from the front and side? From factory stance the rear wheels look about 1 inch inward compared to the front. Maybe that's just me looking at it. I have a 2001 ford ranger xlt 4x4. I'm trying to get that even stance.
Yes that’s why I put them on. The track width looks much better and very even now!

Know it’s a late reply yeah i unfortunately bought my 2011 ranger during the pandemic. Paid about 15k for 103k miles but was from Cali with no rust at all super clean. No major issues yet 🤞🏻finally getting around to getting it built

Yep. No rear window. My first ranger also had the solid window panel. Not sure if I prefer it or not. Looks better, but the functionality is something I’d like for sure. Thanks for watching!

Could you please tell me what tires you are running? Are they KO2's 305/70/17?

Thank you! Yes that’s exactly right for my tires - my spacers are 1/4” if I remember correctly but I have other videos on them! And I purchased the lift kit from a local shop who installed it as well

No wobble and a normal amount of free play I’d say. I’ve really enjoyed it so far!
How about tires ? 305/65/17 run without rubbing . Spacers needed ?
No spacers needed that would make rubbing worse actually. My lower valence was trimmed a bit

Ever get any tickets for this plate covers. I hear the Ontario cops have been cracking down on obstructions of the plate, or anything that would hinder the view of the plate.
I have custom plates and would like to put covers over them. I had covers on a previous car, but I was getting harassed by cops after I got rearended for obstructing the plate because there was dirt on the cover. One cop was a prick, the other was telling them “it’s just dirt” shutting the other cop down. If they had cracked down on this more, not sure if it’s worth it. In my case the covers were clear and not smoked like in the video.

In my build breakdown video I went over the entire cost of the truck. The cost of it was $7500

No evidence to back this up just something I heard, drum brakes actually work better in the sand. Since your in Mexico I’d imagine getting over to baha would be doable so might investigate before you swap.
