Wonder what he's playing. I'm into rpgs, I've gotten at least that much time in Zenith. Waiting for Ilysia... My dream game would be something like Diablo 4 in VR. My Quest2, w VR Ears +m2 pro strap is heavy AF. Gives me chronic back ache lol.
This headset, just from looking at it, is precisely what I think the future will look like for VR. Hilarious Brad that you, of all people, are scared by the fact that it's so easy to pass the time in it haha. Love to hear it haha. I think that comfort is really maybe the #1 thing holding VR back though for real -- more so than high fidelity graphics (though this will be something that will come over time). It has to be as easy and as simple as booting up your controller on a console or a pair of glasses. What prevents me from a full day of VR gaming versus flatscreen is usually some mix of comfort and ease of use of the software. Thanks for keeping us in the loop! :)
It's great to see Brad so excited about a new VR headset, his energy is infectious. Feels like we've been coping forever. It can only get better from here!
Brad should do consulting for VR hardware companies. Dude is a wealth of insanely valuable information that these guys should all be paying attention to and paying him for!
Ikr? I've been thinking about how down fov is more important than up fov , because we have tendency to look to our hand and where we put feet. And i had a problem with the vive pro 2 having the sweet spot low in the lenses which make the up fov bigger than the low fov. And no reviewer was talking about that at the time. It's the first time i heard a UA-camr adresses this point
I'm going to go ahead and pre-order it, this is exactly the push that I needed thanks Brad excited to replace my Vive pro 2 that has me drenched in sweat whenever I use it for over 5 hours lol.
I’m VP2 also but won’t go in direction because I think the FOV and no wireless will be a bigger issue than the gain of comfort. Would love your thoughts though.
@@BB-qp5xo for me I don't think the field of view is going to be that big of a deal, It will certainly be less than the pro 2, but I don't think the field of view was ever that groundbreaking on it in the first place honestly. Like going back to a quest 2 The biggest thing I miss is the clarity and the colors, I don't mind the field of view too much, and if the clarity and the colors are even better than the quest 2 I think it would make it an even better experience. I'm going to try playing with the display pushed back a little bit (that button on the left that pushes it back) for like a week before the headset arrives so I'm used to a smaller field of view lol. I feel like If enough of the product testers say that the field of view is good enough while having experienced headsets like the pimax and the Vive pro 2 it's probably not going to be as bad as people think, the only headset that I ever truly noticed it and couldn't get immersed was the HP reverb G2 and I think this will definitely be a step up in terms of field of view. As for wireless I could definitely see how that's a downgrade for you, personally I don't use the wireless since I like having it at full resolution and 99% of the time I play sitting down (I have a big recliner in the center of the room, it's awesome because you can spin really fast and if you're playing VR chat for like 10 hours sometimes you just want to sit down crisscross applesauce, lay down, sit up, all that stuff it's super comfortable lol) so for me the cable isn't a big deal at all, I thought the quest 2 was the coolest thing when it came out but then I realized with streaming the compression was bad, and biggest of all was the battery life like I know I sound like a mega loser but there's sometimes where I will be in VR for over 10 hours and I'll see so many quest people tap out so quickly because they have to charge, the only ones that don't are tethered to the wall and it defeats the purpose since they're plugged in anyway lol. So for me the wire wouldn't be an issue, but in your shoes it would definitely be a deal breaker especially for a thousand bucks it's not something you could really just pick up and be like we'll see how this works out lol.
@@BB-qp5xo modders just made INdex wireless... to think this wont in 6 weeks post release is silly. FOV won't be noticed with no light. your brain will compensate.
@@sYd6point7 ya I think the fov is one of those things where it sounds terrible but isn't that bad in person, I think brad especially would really be complaining about the fov hard if it was a super big deal, either way I'm excited there's finally going to be some more mainstream high end high resolution headsets with good color, the biggest reason I want to upgrade is because of the glare so I hope it's not as bad
In case you missed it for the new SteamVR Beta (1.26.1), the controllers are no longer inside out on Linux. Async Reprojection functions good enough on Wayland (from 1.25). Currently, the biggest issue appears to be Overlay Wobble/Jitter/Artifacting (Issue 395). Also WlxOverlay.
Right, so looks like this is finally the next headset I have been waiting for. Great preview, I'm so glad it's turned out to be near enough as good as I hoped for! Well done for persuading the Bigscreen team to add an optional basic top strap in the box for every headset! That's significant. Clearly as you describe, this headset is the first headset to actually nail comfort, but that would have been severely hampered without that top strap as you detailed. Hopefully when people get units to review, this will include that basic top strap at the very least, and hopefully they also supply to option rigid audio strap to give reviewers the best experience. It's a shame that those like yourself trying this headset out right now have been using the default strap, I hope that doesn't ruin initial impressions from others regarding just how comfortable this headset really is!
Thank you for covering the brigntess in depth. I have been most curious about it and sadly most people don't think to cover the brightness VS light leakage.
Great to see custom face gaskets. Definitely looking forward to more ergonomic VR -- comfort and ease of use is a huge factor for retention in my opinion. I really wish more companies would try to push FOV more, and true-to-eye high brightness with perfect blacks. Lately, I do mostly sim racing in VR. Comfort and software glitches are always a limiting factor for me to playing more (HP Reverb G2 has pretty decent comfort, but the software glitches and faulty cables you can't buy replacements for a reasonable price, or at all, has made we just want to go back to my quest...) I'm hoping to see more big PC VR players pushing game engines and graphics hardware innovation to create better performance. Sadly, since Oculus left the PC market, I haven't seen any NVIDA marketing boasting new VR-centric features. Here's hoping Valve will save the day with Deckard. All these high resolution displays are great, but pretty much no sim-titles can run at a high refresh rate without turning down graphical settings, even on a 3080Ti.
That Valve tease at the end of the video has me hyped! I've been trying to wait for the deckard for my next big upgrade (or at least for them to announce the specs) because I know the second I put down on a bigscreen VR, or a Pimax, that Valve is going to announcethe deckard is better in every way I care about >.
Excellent mic, no mura, bespoke fit, light enough to wear for hours and hours. I really hope that this pays off for them; it seems to be one of the best for legitimate VR enthusiasts.
Idk maybe it’s just me but I can see so much potential for VR mainly in my workplace but also others especially for Ai, I have to admit I see so much I don’t want to wait because I know the tech is out there and I can’t get enough of this kind of info. Tbo I’m new to this.
Great video. This is the headset I will most likely upgrade to. The comfort, size, and weight is an often overlooked aspect of immersion. The speed and simplicity of turning it on, plugging it in, and launching all the necessary apps is another important aspect of comfort for me. Glad to hear they'll throw in the extra little top strap too if more comfort is needed. I'm hoping they will make a simple 3DOF controller so we can use it without light houses on the go. FOV is the only major issue I have with it.
Quest 2 and Quest Pro microphones has always sounded pretty good to me. Never had issues in my recordings or never had anyone say my mic sounded weird or bad.
You are the first person that's mentioned drawbacks. So I appreciate the honesty. I pre-ordered one a few weeks back. I am very skeptical of a Q3 release because of the pending issues you mentioned. They will have to nail the fitment with 100% precision in order for it to work
Wow, when you mentioned this was all done on the HMD mic, that's very impressive! this HMD is honestly amazing, Few things tho really make it hard to swap.. Price is very very very high, FOV is real low.. HZ is low too... and finally no audio, Eh. I feel like if they improved those I'd be FINE spending the price on them, But for now will hold onto the ol' faithful index.
I'd love if they sold their custom made face gaskets for the Index. It would be a healthy middle-ground for people who want a more comfortable VR experience, but who also don't want to shell out 1.5k for a new headset.
So that's why the face gasket has to be a precise fit. Very interesting. It wasn't about comfort. The displays are so dim that it can't afford light intrusion.
Two hour sessions of VR is more than enough for me. You sir are at a different level. Which is why I respect and value what ever you have to say about anything VR. Tho I have base stations and am tempted to get it just to experience what you describe asap; I may have to wait for their next version that very likely won’t need base stations or possibly controllers. Keep up the good work kid. You’re good at it.
That mic reveal was awesome haha. Was excited to see this review but honestly, just sucks that it feels like this is yet another product brimming with potential. I can't believe that there still isn't a straight upgrade from the Index out in the market right now. This headset seems like it does a lot of things great, but the negatives that you listed are a turn-off, especially for someone who does more gaming/sim-racing than social VR stuff. Not having built-in audio, and a smaller FOV, is so much of a downgrade for my experience... Hope they do find some success in the market with this one so they continue to iterate on this in the future. But, back to twiddling my thumbs waiting on something to upgrade from the Index... Nice video Brad. Thanks for the content.
Honestly at this point I'd even buy an Index refresher with higher res. Although if Pico4 didn't made a glaring omission of not including a display port or hdmi for wired high-res PCVR, I would switch to the Pico. FOV is comparable and the pancake lenses are sweet... Maybe in Pico5? 🤞
Tbh I think Crystal is what you want, Index audio + Index FOV + Varjo Clarity + near OLED contrast and colors..... For sim racers having heavy headset is not a big of a deal cause you don't move alot, for me 8KX more comfortable than PSVR 2 I'm having for sim racing.... If you use fast paced standing games then Bigscreen better for comfort levels and FOV becomes less of an issue.... I have Arpara 5K which is also same resolution + Micro OLED and the clarity blew my mind away but FOV + blurriness in edges turned me off compared to 8KX... So I ordered Crystal over Bigscreen for my Sim racing + flight sim experience
I like that there's no audio. I can use the same wireless headset I always use on my pc. No more fiddling with switching audio devices when I want to use the headset! :D
Really interesting to hear about this glimpse at a possible future. I personally really want a micro-oled headset with aspherical lenses to get that maximum brightness. No idea if its possible to magnify a uoled panel that much lol. I definitely agree on you about "who controls vr" being a scary topic, I'm glad that we get to enjoy this time in which it's primarily just people wanting to make cool stuff.
The thing is with aspheric lenses you would need to sacrifice this kind of 2nd gen form factor and weight as it also means the lens needs to be farther away from the display = front heavy headset again. IMO we should stick to pancake, improve upon it and 1-2 years in the future uOLED displays will also be a lot brighter.
@@GaaraSama1983 I'm ok with having a slightly heavier headset as long as it's well balanced, this is where top straps are especially important. There is no solution for everyone - much like any other tech people will have preferences - I'm certain that in the future I will have a pancake lens mobile headset that I take with me places where I value portability, and an aspheric one for home use where I want better brightness. Different applications for each, I don't think we should chase a 'universal' solution until each niche's technology has been given a chance to mature.
@@Drischa I heard that 6G is forecasted to be going in by 2030. And the main driver for this is VR/(mixed). It was expressed that the high speed will make mobile VR seem instantaneous. If we don't blow up the world before then that is.
20:28 this point you make is important. Every time I have a friend try my Index, I have to explain that when they put it on, they have to have it pointing way more “up” than they intuitively think they should, and their eyeline will be more like looking through the top of a pair of glasses than through the middle/bottom like people naturally do. It’s like HMD makers all assume everyone naturally looks straight ahead at all times, when in fact we much more naturally look slightly down, like you explain here.
Great review thank you for making it! Knowledgeble honest and fair seeming. Cheers! I hadn't heard about the polirization for pancake lenses before (Ive been out of VR for a while now) so that was a great little bit of learning for me.
I feel like this headset would be great for playing flat screen games in VR while chatting to friends due to the super thin strap, the amazing mic quality, the high resolution / displayport and how light it is for extended use. Gives the product even more use beyond just native VR applications!
I'm so grateful that you provide feedback and push things that are important for the experience. It really means a lot to me as a VR enthusiast tired of ailly corporate decisions.
The more I see on this headset the more I'm sold on it. My only problem will be supplying a face scan since I happily live in the stone age without any hardware to help with that and my current phone cam is straight up broken. Still, looks awesome.
Size and comfort of this thing looks great. Unfortunately for someone like me, who would need to buy also controlers and stations, it is too expensive.
Hopefully when fixing the sweet spot issue they take into account that most people would prefer to have more downward field of view (like myself.) I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product as I've been using the index since launch. It would be nice to finally have a vr headset that I would consider an actual "upgrade" over the index for my use case.
Good review Brad. Thank you man. You could beef up your videos with a single picture showing the specs of the headset you are talking about for some seconds
Bradley this review is another level - I have been so impressed by your growth and knowledge in this area. I learn a lot. I bought the Quest 2 some time back, and I still enjoy it, am looking forward to what the next "standard" will be, and that the developers are listening to your feedback too. Congratulations.
Ah, now I know what black frame insertion is. I'd always just assumed that 90Hz meant the image was changed 90 times per second but it is not. The image is renewed 90 times per second but the display is turned off between each frame so that your head does not move without the image changing. It's a bit like a strobe light compared to what a strobe light would look like if the image persisted.
Bigscreen beyond really seems perfect. I just wish they could add an eyetracking module. Eyetracking is the one feature I can't be without on a VR Headset now.
If you're more technically inclined, DIY eye tracking is achievable, though Brad also had that note at the end about the steamVR update being good for those who want eyetracking, so we'll see what he means by that.
@@ene_ai I haven't been this excited by a stinger in a video in a LONG time. Of course, this HAD to happen only a WEEK after I got my Vive Pro Eye in the mail.. My impatience strikes again.
9:36 Right, for working in VR, front cameras are needed to enable a paththrough view and hand tracking. The Beyond with front cameras, inside out tracking and included controllers would be nice. Why doesn't it replace a monitor? is it still not sharp enough?
Best combination would be like you said a Beyond with two (black and white) cameras handling the 6DOF tracking of the headset. Only two cams would also allow using a weaker chip like XR1 and therefore keep costs and weight lower. For controllers I think we should follow the way that Quest Pro paved. Self tracking controllers should become the new standard, allowing for way better overall tracking experience as occlusion not being an issue anymore while also allowing to have less tech in the headset itself.
It does some things okay for productivity/monitor replacement. In fact I edited most of this video in VR. But the brightness and FoV needs to be better to do more than one monitor at a time I think
Amazing poster in the background. Honestly Bigscreen comes close enough to what I want about the Deckard I'm not too bugged about it taking an eternity :p
I wouldn't be too concerned about brightness personally... I usually have my Index set to about 30% - like Brad said, if your eyes can adjust to it, it's not that bad.
This is the (almost) perfect alternative to the Index I have been wanting for a long time now. The poor durability of the Index HMD really put me off upgrading to it from my original Vive HMD, even if the Index does do everything but durability better than the Vive. I already have Basestations, and I have the Index knuckles, so when I rake in enough money, I may buy this HMD since I'd say what the Beyond has to offer warrants upgrading to it over the Index
I havent noticed any durability on my index so far, about 2000hours over 4 years and i've only just had to replace 1 lighthouse. Other than that i've not had any issues
The gameplay looked a bit choppy, that happens when you record stuff in steamvr (with the steamvr viewer) beause of a bug valve doesn't care about. Maybe there is a fix? The obs plugin seems to have same issue. I use the index because of 120hz seems to record smooth gameplay. That's quite an issue I think. Will ye be our champion Sir Bradley?
I struggled to get smooth VR capture and eventually just decided to capture at native frame rate and frame blend back to 60 hz for UA-cam (until they allow higher fps video).
Thanks for the video Brad! I always appreciate your honest and detailed reporting! For me, I love the Index FOV and audio. I'd honestly really prefer an even larger FOV, and there isn't any going back from that amazing off-ear audio. I really look forward to hearing what you have to say about the audio head strap for Beyond. I wonder if the FOV would just kill it for me though? Love the poster. I'm REALLY wanting Valve's next HMD to come this year!
I've heard some people say, that because it's the first headset with true blacks (even other oled headsets have mura issues, or need to keep the pixels at a minimum level like the htc vive), the boundary between the screen and not is less noticeable, particularly, of course, in darker scenes. I imagine that the relative low maximum brightness (while maintaining high contrast because of the true blacks) also aids in this.
@@MassDefibrillator As you indicated, the smaller FOV might not be as much of an issue in dark situations, but I just can't imagine the FOV not being painfully obvious (like looking through a tube) in brighter situations. At this point, I think I'll pass on the Beyond.
@@DMan-ud6bt Well, it's not as bright as other headsets either, so that has the pro of fov not being as obvious even in brightest settings. However, because of the true blacks, you still get a really good dynamic range, so the bright still looks very bright relative to the blacks. Many reviewers have said the smaller fov doesn't really bother them, even coming from an index, so I imagine this is part of the reason. Further, I have heard that the final production model will have improved optics, but we'll have to wait and see. That could mean larger FOV or larger eye box, or better clarity, or nothing it all. But it was said by the CEO.
this has no eyetracking, right? I feel like that's the biggest hurdle for futureproofing it, seems like it's gaining big traction in programming for vr
16:43 - So....to prepare for changing to the BigScreen Beyond - do we know what % brightness we can run the Index and Quest Pro at to get 60 Nits Per Eye? I'm assuming it's NOT linear and therefore NOT just "60% brightness = 60 Nits Per Eye"...
6:18 "I was very pushy about it..." Thank you for your service, though. The whole point of them letting you be an early-adopter test subject is to figure things like that out.
Thanks for the in depth preview. I'm really interested in this headset. If they could have figured out a way to get an Index / Reverb G2 off ear speakers integrated without much additional weight, that would have been fantastic. I also wish my headsets were brighter, so sounds like it's the same issue here.

I hope the fact BigScreen uses native SteamVR drivers means it will also work under Linux. I exclusively "VR" under Linux. I don't even have a Windows partition on my gaming PC.
Comfort really needs to be a bigger talking point when talking about the value of a VR headset because like you said, it really helps with retention, which is a problem myself and everyone around me has with VR. The appeal to why I might be buying this is purely because of it's weight and size which leads to comfort. Finally not worrying about "VR Tears" of sweat when playing beat saber for more than 20minutes due to breathability and heat, and becoming a workout tool IS the appeal.
I have a htc vive, and the thing that stops me from enjoying it more while using, and more regularly, isn't the crap resolution or FOV not filling my peripherals, it's definitely the lack of comfort. So yeah, strongly agree.
Real interesting what Sony and Bigscreen chose to balance for their OLED headsets, for their targeted audience. I can't say which is right or wrong. I think both did a good job. I love my PSVR2, but I can also see loving using the Bigscreen for media stuff, using their service. As far as audio, I've never been a fan of build in audio... I prefer to use my high end headphones for watching films. For lossless sound (Sony MDR 9.1) or my Haptic Headphones (Razer Kaira Pro Dual PS5 edition).... also if it helps bring down the price for the headset, even better.
The PSVR2 uses an entirely different kind of display to the beyond, OLED Vs Micro-OLED. They are made using entirely different methods and materials. As far as I know, Micro-oleds are just flat out better in every way than OLEDS.
Oh my, I forgot it was my Index's 4th anniversary. I better call and make some reservations at a fancy joint to celebrate.. I don't want to get the cold shoulder
One day I will have a PC VR headset, and when I do it'll be based mostly on Brad's honest recommendations. Keep up the quality content. For now I will continue on my psvr 2, loving being a newbie.
I use Pico 4 at 20% brightness. And I have also lens inserts. So... the mileage might vary. What I don't think is great is the lighthouse tracking. I don't have and wouldn't bother to buy one. Mostly because my room space is not open and squared. I like Pico4 tracking being basically the best after using Rift and Quest 2.
@SadlyItsBradley !!! you mentioned the displays were canted!!! Did you use that trick in the steamVR config I told you about a while back!? Also, Feedback on black frame insertion: I wonder if they couldn't make it every 3rd frame by altering which eye gets the black frame inserted. Also it seems to be top to bottom refresh. I wonder if, like the index, the set the screens vertically instead, left to right refresh might help a bit. Maybe on gen2. Either way sounds like they're doing a lot right. 90hz does seem like a downgrade for people, but I promise with this oled tech it won't be.
The screen door effect is probably mitigated by the fact that the lenses most likely cant resolve the display fully. Thats one major issue in micro oleds, when the pixels are micron sized you need extremely good optics to be able to resolve them. And pancakes simply cant do that.
The other big problem is the combination of OLED:s and pancakes, its the worst combination as oleds have a hard cap on light output, unlike LCD panels. And pancakes eat up like 85% of the light.
@@Steror I just dont see why waste all that power into pancake optics, they will just end up generating a lot of heat. In vr, i see no real point in micro oleds. The displays dont really need to be that small.. it just creates issues. Some sort of happy medium would be much better for VR.
I wish it had inside out tracking. I refuse to use light houses. They could use electromagnetic tracking like the Pico Neo 2 to avoid the cameras and added bulk. That would be so slick.
Forgot to mention 1 big negative: people who doesn't own lighthouses won't be able to play with the headset and buying additional hardware would add up substantially to the cost. That said, still pretty intriguing and I'm definitely interested.
It's amazing, but too expensive, and not good enough, and missing controllers/basestations/headphones is a problem for me. Still waiting for the HMD for me, my Oculus Rift is still amazing.

Holy shit I can't believe you recorded this all with the headset. Especially with it as your eyebrows. Holy cow!
Amazing review!
Thank you for covering the brigntess in depth. I have been most curious about it and sadly most people don't think to cover the brightness VS light leakage.
Thankfully it's Bradly with a great hands on preview!
Comfort and software glitches are always a limiting factor for me to playing more (HP Reverb G2 has pretty decent comfort, but the software glitches and faulty cables you can't buy replacements for a reasonable price, or at all, has made we just want to go back to my quest...)
I'm hoping to see more big PC VR players pushing game engines and graphics hardware innovation to create better performance.
That separate Audio Strap is a direct rip of the Vive Strap and I kinda love it.
Holy shit, that mic audio is the most impressive thing about that headset.
Reverb g2 users know all about the USB shuffle. Usb ports can vary a lot, and the motherboard manual is a lifesaver.
You said you were using the HMD mic. I FUCKING LOST IT. Amazing.
Thank you so much for all you do. Your Awesome Always!!!
The Pico 4 was not bright enough on release, but to me it looks like the updates increased the brightness and contrasts quite a lot.
Jumping from quest 1 to this, im prepping for my mind to be blown lol
The form factor is very nice. Seems light and comfortable.
This headset looks like the dream headset I've been waiting for
Two hour sessions of VR is more than enough for me.
Hearing him talk about and review VR things is like hearing a true professional talk about their field. He's the real deal.
Thanks brad for continuing to bring VR news to light and your impressions on the newest technology.
Same boat! 😢 Valve move your ass! we need a next gen Index...or Deckard or whatever...
So I ordered Crystal over Bigscreen for my Sim racing + flight sim experience
my jaw dropped at 21:30, that is actually insane
This was wonderful but now I’m a bit nervous about my pre-order haha
I'm glad I didn't pre order but I guess you can cancel it. This isn't as good as I thought it would be.
"Let's get into the meat and grit of things" prompted a visceral reaction from me, but also a smile
Good review Brad. Thank you man.
You could beef up your videos with a single picture showing the specs of the headset you are talking about for some seconds
Thanks, will do!

Bradley this review is another level - I have been so impressed by your growth and knowledge in this area. I learn a lot. Awesome! Thank you!

My jaw is on the floor. That microphone is excellent.
Native SteamVR is a huge plus. Most people probably don't even know what that means :)
I wasn't expecting a surprise cameo of myself 😂
I will call my top strap the ‘Brap’ from when I get it, in commemoration of your efforts.
Aww... I wish they'd went for the off-ear speakers for the audio-headstrap. So close.
Great review, ordered mine
Awesome interesting and detailed review. Thank you a lot for doing this the way you do! Well done!
My pleasure!
But the brightness and FoV needs to be better to do more than one monitor at a time I think
wow that mic reveal, insane, did not expect such a high quality mic
that mic was really nice, cant wait what u found in the steamvr beta :D cheers nice videos as always
Amazing poster in the background.
Honestly Bigscreen comes close enough to what I want about the Deckard I'm not too bugged about it taking an eternity :p
I'm super pumped to try this HMD, but I'm tempted to wait for the v2 as the entry barrier is currently too big for me.
20:35 wait so does that mean the displays aren't parallel? Do they use parallel projection if the displays are indeed canted?
I wouldn't be too concerned about brightness personally... I usually have my Index set to about 30% - like Brad said, if your eyes can adjust to it, it's not that bad.
Can you give us a like % of brightness we can set on our index to like see for ourselves how dim you expect it to be?
I’ll have to check later
While really interesting because of the good visuals while keeping the overall weight
I'd love to have a direct comparison between the Mic on this and the one on the Index, because that has so far been my favorite VR mic.
I like the format. I like brad
Wow that mic is good. Insane.
6:18 "I was very pushy about it..."
Thank you for your service, though.
Comfort & ease of use>everything for VR right now. As long as the experience can match the Oculus CV1, comfort & ease of use are king.
19:05 btw if you set the mic icon to 1% it will disappear when your voice isnt going through (it will still show mute and when you are talking)
excited to see the video regarding the steamvr update!

I hope the fact BigScreen uses native SteamVR drivers means it will also work under Linux. I exclusively "VR" under Linux. I don't even have a Windows partition on my gaming PC.
Coming from a Vive pro with index controllers, I'll be ordering this headset. I'm a big Elite dangerous player so this is exactly what I need.
How did you get your dog to pose for the pic :) also he needs his own HMD
Luckily he was just staring at the door in my room. Complete coincidence that it lined up haha
You blew my mind when hitting that mic!
Wonder if someone will design printable parts so it can connect to the Index head strap.
22:23 I can assure you, I sleep in the Vive still; if I can side sleep in THAT I can side sleep in this.
Also Florida VR weather, WOOOO
I still love that deckard poster
I imagine deep blacks are a game changer.
Okay, after listening to you a lot with the NT-BENT-CABLE-USB, I didn't even notice that you weren't actually using it... that's pretty impressive.
@@Nobody-Nowhere there are 10k and 20k nits micro OLEDs in the pipeline. Just wait for 2024-2025 ;)
@@Steror I just dont see why waste all that power into pancake optics, they will just end up generating a lot of heat.
