Our sad Houston Texans are tanking another very poor football season! Still a very bad coaching and our owner need to go!
This video can teach the new football fan several things:
1.) Terrible organizations are responsible for draft busts just as much as the players themselves.
2.) Giving up a huge number of draft picks for one player to “get over the hump” almost always backfires.
3.) Coaching is a lot more important in football than in any other sport.
Someone needs to tell that dumbass John Schnider about #2
@@usedcarsalesman6723 someone should email this entire comment to the jets
Fans never learn #3.
What worse is how many fellow 49ers fans who have failed to learn this. You know, the organization which had Bull Walsh, then saw Harbaugh take a 6-10 Singletary led squad to 13-3 + a super bowl the following year and back to a third NFC championship game, and then later saw Shanahan take over the Jim Tomsula & Potato Chip Kelly disaster and took them to the super bowl in his third season.
Coaching is never appreciated until you don't have it - just like your offensive line.
@Chandler Russell Lmaoooooo

Bill O’Brien’s incompetence: I. Am. Inevitable.
The Herschel Walker trade will be the all-time worst. Minnesota got a solid running back, Dallas got a dynasty.
As a Cowboys fan, I'm so glad we dumped that loser named Hershel Walker. That Dallas Dynasty was nasty. Three Superbowls in 4yrs is incredible and I'm glad Jimmy Johnson got his honor ring from the Cowboys after all.
Idk what you’re talking about that trade was awesome😎 Go Cowboys!

Usually not a fan of these “what would happen if” videos, but this one hits differently. You make them fun to watch and I hope you do more of these (might I request, vetoing Greg Olsen to the Panthers)
Still not
As a Packer fan, that one blew my mind. Dude was a beast!
What about the ultimate lose-lose-trade in NFL history: Trent Richardson for a 1st in 2014 that became Johnny Manziel.
Maybe Johnny goes to a team with a better organizational structure who can fix him.
Maybe Trent Richardson doesn't bust in Indy.
And maybe the Colts select a competent lineman or defender to help Andrew Luck and he doesn't become injured to hell and back and doesn't retire in his prime.
Johnny’s issue was he never cared about football, he was way more concerned with partying
@@CasualShowoff True. But that doesn't mean there could have been an organization to shift his priorities away from that.
I'm not saying he probably would have been good, but there's at least a chance his career goes better than in Cleveland.
@@EinTeufelskreis If the Patriots couldnt stop Aaron Hernandez from running with gangs, then idk if Manziel was savable…
The ultimate lose/lose was in 1999 when the Browns decided to come back. They been losing ever since and dragging then NFL down with em. Wouldn't hurt to get rid of that other garbage franchise that can't win to save its life in the NFC either.
@@noneyadamnbusiness6891 hey the Browns have won a playoff game more recently than the Lions have, and my team didn’t even exist when the Lions last won a postseason game
Enlightening as a Texans fan. I thought I was living my worst nightmare now, but there is another layer lower of hell. Good video
In all honesty though it could be a better scenario
1 more playoff appearance before everything went to shit, now you at least have top draft picks to tank for unlike 2020, and without Jalen Waddle, now Watson could be shipped off to Miami for a boatload of draft picks and it’d make more sense
How you feeling now?
All teams should be forced to trade there best players to the jets, that way my team might go 9-8
Wow, an optimistic Jets fan, I didn’t know you guys existed!
Nope, no mercy
That Texans scenario was hell😂

Consider me skeptical that Favre would lead the Falcons to winning the Super Bowl against Elway, given that in our timeline Favre was on the other side of Elway's first Super Bowl win.
That's a good point maybe it would play out the same way as our timeline but instead of the packers winning one then losing to Elway it would be the falcons
I think it’s interesting how a good amount of elite QB’s like Favre, Young and Brees started on other teams then got moved to another team where they established their legacy
Favre & Young were traded prior to the advent of modern free agency.
There has probably been tons of those QB who have been ruined by bad teams
If only Stafford wasn't so loyal lmao
It’s all about the system. Right system and you’re HoF, wrong system and you’re a journeyman or just plain out of the league
@@imAreyz he balling in LA though.
Honestly, i dont think Bo Jackson comes to tampa anyway. Hugh Culverhouse was so terrible as a GM and most players hated him. He pulled a move that caused Bo Jackson to lose his eligibility for college baseball. He hated Cupverhouse after that. And i dont think Young changes that. I will say though a video on culverhouses exploits as bucs owner would be incredible.
Yes please! People forget that Culverhouse was not only a shitty owner, but a shitty human being who repeatedly cheated on his wife.
@@arizonawrestlinginterviews1040 I just got done reading an article about him. Amazing how he wrote in his will to exclude his wife from inheriting his belongings and that he attempted to divorce her before dying.
As an Eagles fan, that LeSean McCoy trade we made was horrible. Trading him to Buffalo and only getting Kiko Alonso, who has bad, it’s still painful. They got Demarco Murray who played well before he got to Philly in Dallas and after he left to Tennessee, but that Eagles coaching staff couldn’t figure it out
Cutting DJax was awfull too, Chip Kelly was the worst, but on the brightside he destroyed the roster so hard that it made the rebuild that brought the super bowl possible
Love this video. Also love the Metroid music
"Bill O'Brien, uh, finds a way (to screw it up)."

I remember that after hearing the news that D Hop was being traded, I thought that the Cardinals just gave up their entire team and their firstborn children to get him. But when I heard what O'Brien got in return, I laughed for 30 minutes straight
When did you get to almost 200k subscribers? I've been watching since about 9k. Well deserved man, great content!
I mean the irony is that the Laremy Tunsil trade, also a BOB classic, is increasingly shaping into the modern Herschel Walker trade. Not as extreme, but that trade tree has stretched across half the NFL with its impact already.
Miami isnt done with that trade yet. They have two premium picks next year they got from that trade, indirectly, from the Trey Lance deal.
I dont mind him not mentioning it, it would take hours to completely cover it.
@@Floridaman1780_ Oh yeah, it will take years to see the tree out. Sportsnet, the Canadien sports media company does awesome trsde trees for Hockey trades, and the dream is to see them do the Tunsil trade one day.
@@Barista.Nathan if SF does trade Jimmy G and Lance struggles you could see Miami stretch the trade out for another few years, any top 10 pick would surely be traded for more future capital. Unless Tua struggles or gets hurt, then that pick will be used on a QB. SFs defense should at least keep them competitive. But you never know, no one saw Houston losing 12 games with Watson.
Loved the video man! Thanks for all the constant work and dedication you put in! It is very much appreciated- thank you!!
8:25 ah stickerbrush symphony, the nostalgia
Here’s an interesting scenario:
What if the Bucs DO NOT trade for Gruden in the 02 offseason? With Tony Dungy fired after the 01-02 season for failing to get the Bucs over the hump, the Bucs opt to hire … *flips pages*…..
Former Giants Defensive Coordinator John Fox who lead the Giants to the Super Bowl in 2000!
Tampa still owns their 2 first round picks and second round picks and starter Dexter Jackson is an impending free agent. So with the 22nd pick in the 2002 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select… University of Miami safety Ed Reed to pair with perennial Pro Bowler John Lynch. Maybe the Bucs ride a ball hawking defense to their first Super Bowl anyway (also Dexter Jackson doesn’t win Super Bowl MVP).
And in the 2003 NFL Draft, Tampa Bay elects to draft East Illinois Quarterback Tony Romo in the first round to sit and learn behind veteran Brad Johnson.
Oh what could have been…
Uh...what? And why would they draft Tony Romo in the first round, who in actuality went undrafted?
@@nickcostanza8730 Why would they not draft Tony Romo? If you recall the 2003 NFL Draft, Carson Palmer went first overall to the Bengals. Presuming that the Bucs go through a deep playoff run in 2002 with John Fox as coach, why would they not look to the future of the quarterback position and draft Romo?
@@gatienlaurol5793 the point he’s making is that Romo still would go undrafted because he’s still an unheralded prospect out of Eastern Illinois
@@PHub-jw8so I agree with that. I guess the benefit of hindsight is that Tony Romo ended up being a relatively good quarterback during his time.
@@PHub-jw8so If not Romo, the Bucs could’ve selected Florida State Receiver Anquan Boldin to pair with Keyshawn Johnson. Or they could’ve opted for USC safety Troy Polamalu to prepare for the impending departure of John Lynch in the following off season.

As someone who is 1) a cheesehead and 2) never ever had a doubt about Rodger's ability, I had to stop watching your video after 30 seconds so I could take a few minutes to stop laughing
I will NEVER put a guy like Favre in the same conversation as guys like Rodgers. Not with over 300 career INTs to his name. He may have had the yards and touchdowns once upon a time, but comparing him a Rodgers is like night and day.
Would there be a Rodgers without sitting behind a "gunslinger" guy like Favre? The Packers fell into a very good situation similar to the colts from Manning to Luck. Rodgers is a "gunslinger" with better decisions and more ability.
@@zionnewkirk4838 how many superbowl victories?
@@sexyshadowcat7 Both Favre and Rodgers have just one ring on their fingers. Rodgers could have 3 or 4 if the damn Packers organization cared to give him a actual defense.
@@noregertsyamsayin8011 Rodgers being this good was very unexpected, even with him being number 1 pick convo, Favre didn't really teach him much, he really didn't like him much but he learn somethings.

Super Metroid music
Not a trade scenario per se but maybe one of the most heart wrenching "what if's" involves Vince Lombardi and his short time in Washington. Lombardi takes over a floundering, albeit talent filled, squad in 1969 that has been wretched since the end of WWII and immediately turns them into winners, just as he did in Green Bay the decade prior. He dies of cancer the following year and even though they become perennial contenders soon afterward, its haunted sports fans of this town for generations. What if, though, Lombardi doesn't get cancer and continues coaching in Washington? How many more Super Bowl trophies does the franchise have?

Favre trade was a good move. Brett desperately needed the change of scenery because the way he was going he would’ve wound up in rehab or worse. Guy was a legit mess of a person in Atlanta and going to Green Bay saved him
Perfect Halloween horror video?
Forgive me for asking this off-topic question, but what is the music that is playing at around 6:10? Pretty good music here along with a great video here.

Got hit with that Super Metroid music at the jump and I was all in
Man that guy is the ULTIMATE arm chair GM. He cant even use the term "system qb" correctly. As a 49ers fan I'm starting to see a lot of armchair GMs call for the firing of Shanahan. Something tells me they just became fans during our most recent super bowl run and don't remember the hell of the previous 20 years with the lone exception of Harbaugh. I get that the NFL is a "what have you done for me lately" league, but it is not a coincidence that the least successful teams are changing coaches every year or two and the most successful teams have sustained continuity in the coaching and front office staff.
I'd genuinely like to hear the argument for still keeping him. I was in his corner until this year, where it feels like he's making every wrong decision. I can excuse the talent-poor years prior to the Super Bowl run, obviously the Super Bowl run was great, last year was a biblical disaster of roster-wiping injuries, but now? I can't tell if he's too busy with his QB experiment, is getting no help with the defense now that Saleh finally got his big break, or if he's just not being flexible enough as a playcaller. San Francisco is so much more talented than the results on the field show, he's just not making good use of it. He's repeating the same mistakes he made with RG3 with Trey Lance, using too many designed runs that open up his rookie QB to potential career-limiting hits. He's largely leaving Brandon Aiyuk on the bench despite his efficiency (apparently not for personal reasons, but it's hard to see what other justification there is). His game management has always been questioned, but now I'm joining the mob that thinks he has no business being the head coach if he can't get that right.
I think Shanahan is a great OC. I would love for him to go to Denver, Pittsburgh, back to Washington, or if he'd work under his former DC in New York, but I don't trust him to run the team anymore. I'm not even sure he'd be my first choice of OC, because as someone (I think Brett Kollmann) pointed out, he's like the anti-Sean McVay. Whereas Sean Mcvay saw his team fail against Chicago, re-invented his scheme, saw Goff was holding him back, reshaped the offense around Stafford, and obviously has made more minor overhauls, Shanahan hasn't had the same kind of radical re-invention. He has a good scheme, but one of the reasons he gets the criticism of his game management is that he at least doesn't alter his calls enough to the game situation. In both his Super Bowl appearances, he gets the blame for costing them the game by passing with the late lead instead of chewing clock and winding the game down (and at least giving the defense a rest, a notable reason why running Wasp worked for the Chiefs).
I mean, maybe give him one more year if Lance starts to show major progress, but he is failing so hard across the board without a real resume to back it up. If they can make moves to get a higher-ceiling QB, I think Lynch has to give some strong thought to making a similar move at coach. I think this is an excellent cycle to make a move for Bienemy, especially since he has to be frustrated with this season, and other organizations bad enough to be hiring another coach have to be cooling on him just because of the optics of it. (You can at least be confident based on Shad Khan going for the splash hire last offseason that he won't be replacing Urban Meyer in this cycle, even if you can't be sure that a coaching change happens at all with his contract.) I acknowledge that coaching changes need to be carefully considered and not just to shake things up, but you also can't stay with a coach just for stability's sake if he's not getting results.
@@thatonewriter8043 You said it yourself, he deserved at least one more year with Lance as starter. You lived up to your username with that essay.
Damn I haven’t been this early since the last time the falcons weren’t known for choking leads
