Thank you so much. I do try and give people a glimpse of what they can DO with it instead of reading specs or spouting off measurements we can read on the website. :)
I like the fact it incorporates the colour printer, cutting blade which is useful for thin acrylic, materials etc and the option to engrave using foiling or even just write text with the pens. I have the F1 already which is fine for cutting and engraving small items but I like the idea of the larger footprint and the additional crafting features. Thanks for a great review ☺️
Thank you for the kind words. :) I am constantly surprised at this machine. Yesterday, it engraved some wood handled corkscrews beautifully. I hope you have fun with it.

@@SarahNenniDaher thanks I'm excited. I have 2 Circuit Explore Air 2's I use here and there. I'm thinking for how little I use them... And the issues I've had with print and cut with them, that this might replace them and give me all the benefits of the laser all in one. Beside the speed, this seems like it might be more like a Cricut Maker (lite) than an explore so that's a bonus. 🤣👍
Hi Sarah! It's been a bit. I watched the Launch of this last night, it looks amazing. Thank you for demoing it. Hubs got the F1 a few months ago and it's out of the box but have not used just yet...soon...lol Take care!♥
I actually don't know the answer to this because I don't have any to test. Do you have a link? Also, if the sub acrylic is clear, no. If white, maybe (some formulations of white will cut on a diode with many passes, while some won't.).
I asked in the live they just had about a sublimation print module and was told by a viewer sublimation was impossible but I know it isn't a problem. Fingers crossed for it.

Your #1 want was exactly the same as mine. They hint there is more coming, so my fingers are crossed. Thank you SO much for this video, it was SO helpful. I just got my M1 Ultra and while I know my way around a Cricut, I was overwhelmed at all the settings and features. I kept wondering how in other videos people seemed to just know what settings to use for different materials and couldn't figure out how they knew this stuff other than trial and error or experience. Needless to say, I've subscribed to your channel 😊. BTW, the 'possum was HILARIOUS!
This comment just showed up for me (ugh, sorry for the late reply). YES I really hope they come out with it and honestly, I don't even care if it's only like 90% of what I use currently - it would be so fun to play with.
The material it calls for on both the honey on and the baseplate is 12x12 inches (30+mm). As for the depth, I have to measure when I get home (I have the riser base).
It has to send the file from your device to the machine. That can happen wired or over Wi-Fi. You can work offline (unless some lasers), save the design file, and then work it later, but you have to have a connection to the machine in order to do that.

Hi- this is a great video. Can I paint a sign white and then print only in all black? Is it vivid or will it have those printed lines in it? Thank you!
I'm so sorry, just seeing this now. I would have to test that because there is no black, so you're layering all the colors on top of it. I think it would look muddled, maybe?
@@SarahNenniDaherdarn, I’ve only got an iPad so I guess it’s a no no for me as I dont have an option for connecting using the usb, such a shame as I’d love this machine 🥺

@SarahNenniDaher I printed with inkjet module but mine doesn't put the cover cap after the print. Is it a manual setting. More, it goes always onto the same point to "clean" the printing head...
Yes, it will always finish the print at the same position (front right) because that is where you should put the ink pad / cap holder. Are you putting the little flat piece with the ink pad and cap holder in before printing?
Okay, do you have the baseplate in? If so, the printer ink pad and cap holder slides onto the baseplate handle. If you're using the honeycomb, go to the official M1 group on Facebook, look for Se'an Farris' post on the hack for placing it on the honeycomb.

Hi there. Just saw your video - very informative - very helpful. I do have one question if you can help me. I am looking for a multi-function Laser and cutting machine - AND Embossing. I know that the M1Ultra can emboss leather - and can do foil embossing - My question is - can the M1Ultra emboss Foil into LEATHER - or even faux leather. My main goal is to have a machine that can do multiple tasks - but I'm really looking for a machine that can emboss foil into leather. Such as - a hardcover book that has 'gold foil embossing' - if that makes sense. Do you think or know if this machine can do that? Any feedback/opinions/experience you have regarding that particular task that you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance - love your channel. You have a new subscriber. ~ Jaekriel
I'm so sorry, Jaekriel, that it took me so long to respond. I lost the hard drive with my M1 Ultra projects so I'm having to redo everything. I just re-did a set of leather debossing (not embossing, as that's raised) with the gold foil sheets and yes, it works. The trick is to get the leather as tight to the baseplate as possible (I used painter's tape) with no movement. I then layered on the foil sheet with masking tape so that once it was done, I could simply remove the foil and then have the laser cut the leather without any movement of material. Not sure if you need that... The settings I found were perfect for the thicker dark leather were: 300 pressure, 20 speed, and 1 pass. I am not sure if you're cutting, as well, but I those settings will vary (my thick leather was 100 power, 12 speed, 1 pass). I hope to share this soon on the channel but felt horrible that I didn't answer you with settings.
Hi I'm completely new to craft machines and I'm really struggling. I build paper models from pepakura (.PDO files) and want to use this machine to cut out the pieces for me. I can't find any vids specifically for this. I can convert my .PDO files into .SVG but they import into XCS with so many lines and boxes and layers they're a mess. The closest thing I can find is Print and Cut stickers but cut on the line so zero offset. Any advice or direction you can point me in would be a huge help..
Wow, that art form is so cool! As for the PDO files, they would have to be converted to SVG and then placed in a vector editing software to unite/combine vs group. I use Adobe Illustrator, but Inkscape is a free option. XCS will import each element, not layer so that you have maximum control. The good news is that they can be either edited once within XCS, saved, and stay grouped for multiple uses. The bad news is that there is no program (aside from a vector editing program) which will be able to import without the separation of elements.

I have the S1 and love it - but I have to correct you on something. The riser in the US has a front opening, the ones in many countries, the EU and UK, for example, do not and do not have the multi shelf capability. It is not allowed for safety reasons. Other than that, yours is the first video I have seen, where the user has been so honest in what it will or won't do and who it is good for and who is not going to gain anything from buying one. I would not recommend a 10W because I think it would be under powered and I agree that the honeycomb is a good idea. Also a good idea is the air assist. From my use of lasers, I also suggest getting a silicone mat to place under work, on the base, where possible, as it will collect the debris and allow easy clean up (specially if a closed front riser is used). This is not the sort of machine that will replace a plotter for people bulk making stickers, or those who want to do large vinyl cuts or make big projects but I do think it will be a fun machine for many. For those who don't have the funds for it and just want to try a 'baby' laser, there will be a lot of M1 machines on the second hand market very soon!
Great points! I have (primarily) a US-based audience, but I'll try to do better on that in the future. Thank you. I didn't do stickers for this reason (though will try them later).
