One recent clip I saw was one of his co-panelists shooting down a lot of his points brilliantly with tons of obvious facts and he just disengaged, refused to answer the rebuttals. It told me that he had nothing to push back with. I see that a lot with him; that bothers me. The fact that he's on the other side of the political spectrum from me doesn't.

Imagine bill had the balls to bring up his actual role at Fox News…. These 2 are woefully unaware and tone deaf in an age where personal brand matters a ton. Gutfeld is definitely not the worst person working at fox but bill misrepresents himself as a political expert of some sort when he’s really just a shock jock who uses whatever’s going on in the country to make a joke and throw a political angle on it. Gutfelds “ comedy show” lasted like a week and was terribly unfunny, bill literally has a signal to clap installed in his studio and STILL complains about it, he’s way more sensitive to criticism than he tries to portray because he’s unwilling or afraid to face the truth about himself.
But has TDS…part of reason we have 2 🤡 in office now. High inflation, another money grab, another war- money grab, encouraging mental illness, corruption, division, choosing people based on color of crotch. Went from best to worst.
This is the America I love. I don't care if you're Conservative or Liberal. Most of us are decent hard working people that can sit down and have a conversation. I'm just thankful that I grew up in another era like Bill and Greg. Loved listening to them talk about the 60s and 70s. If you're Gen X or older you can appreciate it even more.
I hope the majority of ppl in this world don’t actually hate each other and that it’s more often a social media performance for people to gain fame/fortune/influence. Talking to ppl while being out and about in the community, it seems like most are stunned, shocked and confused about what’s going on and the battles that we have online aren’t the concerns of every day citizens. 🤞
Really? Bill looks ready to leave……. Imagine having someone round to your house for an hour, then announcing I’m cold I need to go, I’m having dinner with someone else….. he barely had time smoke his joint…..!? I hope Greg kept the joint….🚀

the right is calm and reserved. the left must keep their nasty disposition on lock or this conversation wouldn't happen. all the conservatives that appear on this show get all the credit for doing something about it. believe it cause no liberal would ever show their face on a conservative show.
I'm a dem but I don't agree with all of it either. I switched from MSNBC to Fox after the affirmative action decision, because that's one thing I think the right was correct on, race blind admissions.
Loved that podcast. Probably because I enjoy watching Greg on Fox and Bill on HBO. It’s good to see two people that don’t agree politically, but can get along and joke and laugh, and talk about other things that brings them together
Bill's more moderate than he is on his show and Greg is a Libertarian, not a conservative. When Bill's show was on network TV he was more of a classic liberal. He moved more left when he moved to HBO.
These days? Bill sounds like Tucker Carlson, whining about woke and cancel culture, masks, diversity. During Covid he couldn't tour and lost money. He turned bitter and became what he liked to call Trump....a whiney little bitch. Bill whined about his solar panels, cancel culture (from his national show after saying the N word on the air). He complained about cancel culture on Rogan, another man NOT canceled despite using the N word. Brings fraud Bari Weiss on the show to complain about cancel culture after she quit her job. He is slightly left of center or straight up conservative. The only thing that separates him from Tucker and Trump is Bill does not support Putin or push election denial.

But I was expecting more polite disagreements, they didnt even talk about Trump, I sense there was a "pre-agreement" to not touch some subjects, which kind of diminished the show
@kaledon6 completely disagree. What is there that's new to say about Trump? You'd rather have them spend time arguing about Trump? You'd rather hear more about Trump? Are you thinking about Trump right now? Is Trump in the room with you? They talk and argue about all of those things for a living. This show is a hangout. Both of them doing the right thing by celebrating the things they have in common, rather than fighting about what they don't. Much needed.

While that would great,I really doubt Bill will do it bc he would lose a large chunk of his audiences, both at the TV show& at his standup comedy venues. Those farleft are not in that mindset.
yeah I mentioned in another video (specifically the Candace Owens one) that my best friend is center right, while I'm center left, but because of our many similar interests, we're still good friends
I really lost a lot of respect for Bill. How could he have a known Trump supporter and insurrectionist on his show? Why would he give an insurrectionist a platform?
Every comment is, "I'm so glad to see you guys together" or "we need more of this". We, the sane, have got to stop allowing the crazies to control the conversation. It's gone on long enough. Courage, silent majority!
So why not give your opinion? Are you thinking that the majority is really silent? You’re not. We are not…. Every election year the pendulum swings on one side then the other… majority is that and then this…. I don’t think that anyone who watches BM is crazy for sure and I don’t think anyone who watches GG is crazy. And those of us who watches them both are definitely not crazy. I do, however, have to wonder if those who think that BM shouldn’t have certain people on his shows because they think BM is in a certain political party and/or side, should watch his RT shows more… Actually his stand up would probably be more enjoyable for those people…. And as I assume u know BM was told he should have GG on a while back during another interview with a guest who was absolutely trying to make the interview political in anyway he could. So of course when we see BM actually did bring GG on, I assume people thought politics was going to be the main focus of their conversation. I think, and please excuse my crazy mind, I think that the point of having a discussion with someone who doesn’t have the same political views as Bill and not talking about politics for an hour or more is the whole purpose. It’s an example that people can talk to others for at least an hour without throwing up their thoughts on politics. The USA is, as we know, divided. So if you can see two of the most watched late night political talk show hosts on separate sides kick it and actually have a good time… then by god… maybe someone who sees this who wrote off their parents or siblings can just possibly work it out too…. I dont know maybe I’m the crazy you speak about…. But then again I’m probably more like u than you know ❤

Because of that, I’m loving some of these club random interviews wayyyyyy more than I anticipated. Not to mention, also recognizing the potential importance behind them as well. This is how rational adults disagree on things and still cooperate amicably.

@@colonelharland7833 Normal people still have friends from any political ideology. It's the wingnuts that have changed and feel they can't "breathe the same air" of people who don't think like them politically.
Bill Maher is smarter than he let's on. He goes with the lefty grift as long as possible... he knows his audience
I've been a fan of you both for quite some time and when I stumbled across this of course I had to check it out. This has been one of the most entertaining hours that I've spent in a very long time. Two guys hangin' out in a bar without the distractions of the bar. These are the kinds of conversations that people used to be able to have. Society today doesn't seem capable of that anymore.
This is the kind of show one watches while drinking to just kick it and have fun! Loved it!
Total fan of #Gutfeld!
Sure if you don’t have real friends to do it with.
This is what we need in this country. Ppl with different views talk it out without demonizing each other.
No that's actually not what we need
Talking what out? They didn't talk anything out. Jeez
maybe we do need a show where people with opposing views demonize each other and they duke it out until each side is like "you aite"
Bill keeps having right wing crazy people on thinking he’s somehow gonna make progress. Why not have MTG on. He had Bannon on and Barrr, and they just lied and got publicity for their books and whatever. He’s being played and I’m really at a loss on his thinking.
Bill was always against talking to someone who believe Dems eat babies and believe the elections were rigged 😅😂and now he is talking to Faux News member
I've been a fan of Gregs since the 3am Red Eye days on Fox. Bill Maher has always had an ear for opposing views, I remember when he used to bring Ann Coulter on his show all the time. Great episode!
Me too I remember when Ann Counter was on and she predicted that Trump wouldn't only win Republican primary but the presidency and the guests all laughed hysterically she was right though
@@thomasbailey3511 ABSOLUTELY!! Then she went full-tilt-bozo re: border! Funny, she's awfully silent what with the shitshow going on now w/#FJB!!
@@JEESSZZOO1 yeah hadn't heard from Ann Coulter in a while but she's a smart lady
Always gave Coulter credit for having the balls to go on shows where she knew she'd face a hostile crowd.
This is actually BEAUTIFUL!! 2 different views finding a bridge to communicate and get along isn't that what we should all be doing?
I used to watch Greg's show "Red Eye" in the middle of the night on Fox. Probably the best show in the history of the channel.
I used to DVR Red Eye.
Red Eye was awesome. All the comedians that would come on. It was hilarious. Liberals and conservatives just making fun of each other in the best way lol
Whatever happened to his sidekick Bill schultz? Seems like he just dropped off the face of the Earth
Yikes
Omg, I'm both gobsmacked and impressed at the same time! Not a bad chat at all - I watch both their shows. What a surprise! 😃
I thoroughly enjoyed this. There was a time when people of different views could actually sit down and talk with one another. They didn't have to hate, and try and tear each other down. Would definitely watch more like this.
conservatives build people up, democrats tear everything down. democrats are the true haters
I love Greg and think this is one of the best conversations that Bill had with a guest. Thank you Bill and Greg.
Greg is spot on about the 60 Minutes tick of doom. When that came on I knew the weekend was officially over.
So true, even today.😢
Yup
This is awesome to see these two living legends together and be friends. Bill has grown on me so much over the years.
Legends? Oh come the fuck on.
living legends is a MASSIVE stretch
a garbage comedian and a pretty good comedian
come on
Greg, I love that you Google the actors while watching their movies. I do that all the time. I love biographies. And that’s how I found out you grew up in the same city as me and went to a rival high school.
Its so charming watching Maher groom his joint and relight it 20 times! Such a great example for young people. A real hero…the country is done for.
Have you done it yet?
Two of my favorite TV personalities under one roof. This is the type of dialog we need in America.
We need a show with these two combined, awesome chemistry for relaxed real talk
We all want 90% of the same things. It’s just we disagree how to get there.🤷🏽♂
@@davisholman8149 disagreeing is fine. Perfectly natural perfectly normal. The problem is people disagree and then they decide they need to shut you down for disagreeing with them a lot of the times. Fortunately, the majority would be like this exchange between the two of them. Problem is the emergence of Twitter, it’s a very loud and obnoxious 10% that gets seen/heard the most.
Two awesome people hanging out !! So glad you guys got a chance to chat!! 🖖🥳✨ you two should do more shows together.
You don’t know how happy this makes me good on you guys 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
What an awesome surprise, this episode made my night. There's a lot of TV personalities who could learn a thing or two from these guys! Hope to see a second visit!
Convos like this is what’s going to save humanity. Thank you for this.
It shows how much we have things in common with each other. We need to get back to this, respect each other's differences and cherish our similarities. This how friendship usually starts, with some commonality, laughter, and understanding. Thank you Bill Maher for being such a great role model
@alienígena Well we found the resident socialist, posting through t on every other comment about the loathsome “millionaires.” Just give it a rest. They’ve both earned the money they have, what do you care?
Trouble seems in breaking the ice or cutting someone out of their perspective herds to talk one on one with each other.
“Friendship usually STARTS” seems like the operative phrase. The idea that this conversation should continue makes so much sense. Hopefully Power sees this point and makes it possible for their relationship to develop.
Watch Jimmy Dore instead.
@@missykins3193 who the hell is Jimmy?
Bill you’re a beacon man. I’ve always been a huge fan of real time and so I gave your podcast a try (even though I have never listen to any podcasts before. I’m not a podcast guy).
However, your interviews with Russell Brand, Dave Rubin. Piers Morgan and Gutfeld are examples of exactly the type of rational conflict resolution this country needs. Because of that, I’m loving some of these club random interviews wayyyyyy more than I anticipated.
Not to mention, also recognizing the potential importance behind them as well. This is how rational adults disagree on things and still cooperate amicably. It’s painful and embarrassing that this type of rational maturity is a minority compared to tribal politics that exist now.
Hopefully you can spread some sanity with your podcasts.
Thank you Greg for coming on the show!!!! Please come back. Y'all don't think that this is as big as it is 💋
Never saw this coming, but im happy for both you. This was a pretty enjoyable show.... BTW, I totally remember red eye, I was very open minded very sleep deprived teenager
Red Eye was so underrated.
Thank you both for choosing to be normal guys. This was a very nice change of pace.
I can’t believe I became a fan of Bill Maher over the last year
This is what America needs, I really think a lot can be healed if bills show on CNN takes off and Greg's fox show continues to do well. We would have the two most popular hosts on the two biggest news networks being friends and getting along, really makes me optimistic.
bill stole this idea from russell brand
Absolutely amazing. They sit there and sound like a couple of people just having a fun conversation.
something only conservatives know how to do
Wow! Gutfeld on Club Random! Love it
This is a great example for younger people to see we can get along with people we don’t agree with. This was the norm in the 90s and earlier. Hell, even the early 2000s. I have a feeling us watching this are all over 40 though.
That handshake at the end. ❤That should be all of us in this country.
Greg is funnier and more personable without a script
This is Greg you're seeing not the Fox News personality. The city I live in had a mayor that was a big loud mouth, drunk obnoxious right wing lunatic and my friend who taught marxists studies at the University was his neighbour. He used to come sit with us by a fire and he was honestly funny and warm and personable when he wasn't in "politics" mode.
So is Bill
RedEye was amazing.
😂😂d0epl😂
I don't watch Fox News these days but ten years ago I was REALLY REALLY into Red Eye when greg was the host. Even got one of my mail bag letters read by him on air. That show was hilarious if you're like 21 and up way too late on week nights with. nothing better to do.
I am almost exactly the same age as Bill, and still in the same generation as Greg. This was so great for me, just what I needed to remember there are people out there who think similar to me. It is grand to find a couple of men share experiences similar to my own. I acted, wrote, am into writing songs and poems as well as just digging being a grandma now, but what you talked about was part of my experience, too. Oh, I loved to bar tend. I was the only non- drinker who became a bar tender, too.
*Non-drinking bartenders are valued, highly regarded and rare in that business. Respect!*
Excellent hour with you two. Really insightful, funny and enjoyable. Thank you.
That was great, you can have a civil conversation with someone that may have different opinions than you. Interesting conversation, how time has changed. You can’t relate if you didn’t grow up in that era. Enjoyed the interaction & laughter between the two of you.
Great conversation, I love it when people have an open and honest dialogue.
Saw this on a treadmill in rehab and I thought hell froze over. Great conversation!!!!
❤️💕💯 Gutfeld and the story about meeting his wife 🤔Amazing!!! Great Show nice to see people being human again
All my biases are out the window with Bill. My bad. You have never changed. I did. Glad I watched this. Greg has the best show on fox.
