This is awesome, thanks for the effort! I think it's worth mentioning here that Splitradix also has a great set of tutorials. These two supplementing each other will probably take you far with your Cirklon.
Thx you so much for posting this video utilizing the Cirklon 2…hoping you show a lot more of what this sequencer can pair up with… maybe you can even pair it with the iPad. Hybrid setup hmm 🤔 Great job with Aphex Twin song 🎵
Great video / walkthrough... could you do a video featuring the Polyend Tracker and the Cirklon and how you use them together, not much info out there.
I sold it and use the Oxi One and the Five12 Vector. I made 2 good videos though, this one and one showing how to use the CV functionality. There are no other videos anywhere showing how to set up the CV as I showed it.
Well, One my fav synth yt Channel Just made a vid with a Cirklon. Insta-like before watching. I'm on waiting list since october 2021... long wait. Bought a Torso in the meantime. Hope that's the First of a long list of videos
Yeah I understood the concept right away. I really just wanted to try it out for a bit but for my needs I find the Vector for Eurorack and the Oxi One for everything else to better fit my needs.
It is not "necessary," I can do the same on my cell phone. I put my name on the list in 2019 because it looked like a fun and capable sequencer. It is what I thought. No, my music didn't improve, there is no magic in it, just a different way to do the same things which is very analog feeling and more fun than a DAW or other ways of making music.
@@Digiphex i am interested in the more fun part. could you expand a little on that please?. the alternative is a DAW? why is it so expensive? why do 'the best' all have one?. do you use the intermodulation stuff? thanks.
@@alien_brain Fun is subjective and that is up to you if you enjoy learning new complex devices and manual reading. There might be millions of alternatives including DAW's, sequencer apps like Five12 Numerology is probably the best, cell phone apps, other sequencers like Oxy One, Hapax, etc. It is expensive because it is a boutique operation made by one individual. The best may have it because they have collections of old analog gear that Cirklon controls quite easily given its 5 full size MIDI ports on the back. I have sold it already and moved on to other interesting things.
@@Digiphex Wow been on the waiting list for a while now, glad you got to try it. I think it is cool you got all the sounds from this track out of the MC-707
I've been on the waiting list for 2 years. I actually didn't intend to buy one when I entered, but I thought maybe I'd have the spare cash by the time I got to the front. Well... Maybe they're just waiting for me to get the funds for this thing^^
I didn't realize it, I forgot about it, but I put my name on in late 2019. And then very recently did it, not sure if I ever did. So maybe it was late 2019 they were acting upon when they told me it was ready to purchase.
Wow, thank you for sharing. So many Cirklon videos come across as esoteric. This is my speed!
Would love to see more cirklon tutorials like this !
Thanks for this one.
please please please make more Cirklon videos!
you are basically my studio setup twin btw.
Cirklon, Syntakt, Polyend Tracker, M8, Circuit, SE02, SH-101, Peak, Oberheim Matrix 6R, Eurorack, Push3, Ableton into Midas Venice 320, Analog Heat, Lexicon LXP-5, Boss Rod10 OD, FMR RNC1173 & Empress Reverb
Great tutorial. Loved the tip about making rolls. Very well done and informative.

I love that opening Digiphex animation, it looks very analog.

Good on you, sir. Hoping for more cirklon content from you. This stuff is rare.
agreed!

Came for the M8 tracker video ended up around the horrn watchin’ what ya did with your Cirklon 😂

De mis tracks favoritos muy buen trabajo
we appreciate you!!!❤
I’d love an update from you on how you’ve been getting on with the Cirklon after a few months now

@@frequencymanipulator A perfect song to choose for the Cirklon.
Inspired by you, ha ha.

thanks a lot for this vid. but I saw your comment below, why did you sell it? you were obviously a quick learner and capable with it

what about the cirklon is necessary for your music? why did you buy it? is it everything you thought it was? has your music improved in some way?

@@Digiphex you sold cirklon? what do you find superior?
crispy
Ya...it's odd for such a machine to be "the one" that we dont have many tutorial videos or anything much....getting mine in around 6 months i hope.
Probably rather complex for some who are not determined.
So cool man
Wow! congrats on the Cirklon 2. How long did it take to get yours?
Edit, looked in my email and back in late 2019 I had put my name in. Thought I did only recently but maybe they were acting on the late 2019 request.

How are you finding it after a few weeks?
Oh you sold it quickly. You dont keep gear?
cool
nice
You rolls are way too fast like at 10 secs in and others. But otherwise a great jub :)
Could you have maybe recorded the intro in a worse sounding room?
Who the fuck cares? It’s not like the music is recorded that way, it’s fine, you can understand him perfectly
timing is way off
Timng is not quantized, like the original. Maybe looser but Cirklon allows multiple degrees of tightening it up if you desire.
@@Digiphex It's not flattering. the groove of the original is a huge part of the track.
