Gotta say that's how I've used Ck patterns for the last decade - for live performance and jams, more like a MIDI looper than anything else. I guess you're using CK patterns for your drums - I do mine on P3 patterns for the aux events. Maybe note muting will come...
A very personal choice, although I don't know enough about the Pyramid to comment. A friend did have their mini one, I was constantly belittling it, because he was struggling with things which are rudimentary on the Cirkon. The Cirklon does not do everything, yet what it does, it does spectacularly. For the record, I am happy with my purchase and continue to use it. There are some videos on my channel with some of my results. I think this one is my best: ua-cam.com/video/ufH0c5Y9bno/v-deo.html
Cirklon has much more going on imo. First and foremost in wins on its connectivity. The aux functions make it unique. Its build quality is excellent. I'm sure the pyramid is no slouch yet it looks fiddly to use.
Why do you set edittrk on all midi ports? You can set it only on the midi port where your master key is connected and it work for any track you have currently selected. If you have edittrk selected on all midi ports, and you have connected both midi in and out for each synth, you are going to mess synth listening to track that is currently selected if you touch any other synth which sends CCs..(if synth on edit track has anything mapped to that CC of course)
I have multiple other sequencers and midi controllers connected into the Cirklon, I want each of them to affect the track I have currently selected so I can record them.
@@splitradix Oh ok then that totally make sense, I do have (almost)each synth conected to both in and out on same port(to be able to record live tweaking into CK patterns) and somehow was thinking you're doing the same, routing output of each synth to edittrk that way, my bad)
Just encountered an issue. Been following the video but after recording sweeps on one CC it won’t let me switch the cc using the row encoder. Just stays stuck on the cc I recorded the sweep with. Any ideas? Thank you for the video!
After you record, moving the row encoder will only change to CCs that have values in them (to make it easier to check what you recorded without going through every CC). To view the other blank CC pages hold shift and then move the row encoder.
Like an idiot I watched this one last. It would have been really useful to see this one first lol. CK patterns are the last thing I've explored on the device. Noobs, watch this one first!
@@splitradix Yes, you can record track values, but only the CC's, just press record and sweep away. Also you can add a lot more track values than just the six.
I often have a CK pattern on one track sending notes to a synth and then a P3 pattern on another track sending CC information to the same synth to get around this.
Just realised I didn't answer this properly, you can use the encoders to edit the midi CCs in the event list in CK patterns. Not as quick as doing it in a P3 pattern though as you can only edit one midi CC value at a time in the CK event list.
i will never use this thing! encountered in a studio, met people that use it, i dont get it. It must be a zen thing and once you have muscle memory its just bliss. But its like learning some flight sim

No touchscreen features have been implemented yet.
If only we had a CK per-note-mute we could actually use CK patterns for live performance and jams!
Gotta say that's how I've used Ck patterns for the last decade - for live performance and jams, more like a MIDI looper than anything else. I guess you're using CK patterns for your drums - I do mine on P3 patterns for the aux events. Maybe note muting will come...
CK row mute is a feature request lots of people have made on the Sequentix forum so hopefully it will get implemented.
@@splitradix yup, thats a wanna have +
when should one use the "Cirklon" instead of the "Pyramid"?
I use Midi Time code for syncing my HD 24.
Actually, Cirklon has one of the easiest workflows around. It gives you lots of buttons to control the system.
Like an idiot I watched this one last. It would have been really useful to see this one first lol. CK patterns are the last thing I've explored on the device. Noobs, watch this one first!
Is it possible to add our own jpg onto the screen?
Not at the moment.
can you prelisten the notes by scrolling over them when setting up?
No.
You any good at VSIG?
Italo de Angelis is the master of VSIG, I'm just an amateur. Currently it won't run on my Macbook anyway. I need to get a PC laptop for it.
Can the Track Value sweeps be live recorded ?
CC track values can but track control values currently cannot. The next video is going to be all about track control values.
@@splitradix Yes, you can record track values, but only the CC's, just press record and sweep away. Also you can add a lot more track values than just the six.
Would be nice if you could use the encoders to edit midi CC's in CK patterns, like how they work in p3
It's more difficult than F-15 Strike Eagle II on the Amiga but easier than Microsoft Flight Simulator X on a PC.
