  • ✅➜amzn.to/2HV6A5E or ➜ebay.to/2gX6rSK, Power Pro Spectra Hi-Vis-Yellow Fishing Braided Line. This is a quick video on how I spool my braided line on my spinning reels. Everyone has their on technique but this is what has worked for me for years. I'm using the Power Pro Spectra hi vis yellow in the 15lbs test line and pairing with my Shimano spinning reel Ci4+ with a Shimano Crucial graphite rod 6'-6". The great benefit of using braided line is that it is stronger and smaller in diameter than traditional line. I've used this setup to land several fish and it has yet to fail me or other I recommend this tip too. The key is to have a strong knot a the spool of your fishing reel and then make sure everything tight and uniform when reeling. I 15lb braided line because it is only 4lb diameter thickness which makes it smooth and easy to cast but you have the strength to reel in the big fish as long as you drag is set properly. I have another video I'll be making on Berkley's Trilene professional grade. I've used power pro braid, trilene braid, and stern braided line. All work great!

    Took my brand new Battle II 5000 for a spin yesterday for the very first time and I hooked a 20lb yellowtail using a Ugly Stik X2 (medium hard) rod ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . This combo was recommended on some website and it did not disappoint me. The reel is smooth, the drag click is pretty cool cause i think it adds to the excitement of fighting the fish, personally the drag is my favorite part. I use braid and 300 yards will fill the entire spool. This combo is my main setup from now on although I have to disclose I am new to fishing.

    Cool video and method! I’ve seen a lot of different ways and I don’t see a need for mono backing. I’ve had my braid run low on the reel and catching fish wasn’t an issue or slippage of the knot. If you get to as low as I got you need to change your line anyway because at that point casting abilities are compromised. But that’s my opinion and it works for me. So Thanks man I got some good ideas from You especially the simple knots gonna try. How did you like the yellow line?? Did it fade?

    • @VibrantDeals
      @VibrantDeals  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the feedback! The yellow line is great and has only faded slightly but it is still a nice vibrant yellow. No issues at all. I landed a 40lb black drum off of a bridge with that setup.

    Everything is fine, but the line is better to put in the bucket of water. The water absorbed by the line, which will then gradually evaporate from it, now housed in its new location, allows it to better overcome the "stress" of the passage of the two diameters and allows immediate use in fishing the reel just filled. the important thing is that it is always vertical

      Vibrant Deals i think the ounly thing you didnt mention in this video is to to cover the base of the spool in mono becaus braid tends to slip if you get a good fighter wraping the spool in mono and ataching to the braid stops that

  • @kweshinz2103

    man...why do other people complicate it with two spools, mono + braid, measuring...etc? does this method effect casting or something?

    • @dennispham9604
      @dennispham9604 7 років тому +1

      Kweshinz saves money if you back your spool with mono since you won't be using all of the braid on the spool for a cast.

    • @TimothyElonBounya
      @TimothyElonBounya 7 років тому +1

      Kweshinz braid is slick and will slip under heavy pressure or heavy fish and it will free spin, if this happened to someone who didnt know what was going on they'd assume their reel was broken. the mono backing allows grip and friction on the reel, keeping the braid in place, same effect with the tape. hope this answered your question

    • @evaldasbus9174
      @evaldasbus9174 6 років тому

      Kweshinz with light weights better when your reel is almost fully reeled with lane . it let you do more longer cast.

    A good tip for anyone spooling spin cast reels. You want to start reeling label up reel 15 cranks then flip it over so label is down reel 15 more cranks. Lay line flat on the floor and keep flipping it over you will have no twist as each flip counteracts the previous. Ie 15 cranks line spinning left then you flip and do 15 more cranks but since you flipped the line it now spins right undoing the previous twists👌 Try it you'll never do it any other way again. Wear a glove pinch the line with glove hand to apply tension. Tighter the better.

    why didn't you back it with mono? braid will spin on the reel.

    • @VibrantDeals
      @VibrantDeals  7 років тому +6

      I can tell you first hand that I've done both setups & both won't spin if you have your knot right at the base and reel tight from the beginning. I've never had my braid setup spin even when getting close to the spool. I fish a lot too so I change my braid every year or when it starts to look weathered so rarely to I ever get low on the spool.
