Good luck. Nobody swings like this that can break 90. Even Leadbetter said he created the A swing, now defunct, because amateurs couldn't "turn to the top". Faldo is 6'4, 245 and hits it 245.

These drills won Nick Faldo six majors and Nick price 3. All the content of the lessons with the pivot being central to everything is a great way to teach the golf swing. The golf swing is all about rotation. But that initial lateral movement starts the chain of movements

Brilliant strategy for teaching. Make the technique so complicated it takes hundreds of lessons to learn all the drills, making it harder for the student to leave after having invested so much time and money.

WARNING: Although David has coached many Major champions, keep in mind that Faldo hit 1500 balls a day. This swing requires a ton of maintenance as it is far more complicated than your average swing. I no longer have the time, bought "Golf My Way" and enjoy a low single digit handicap with far less practice time. Plus I picked up 25 yards off the tee. Enjoy!

And then came the A swing. I wonder what made Leadbetter move the shallowing out to the downswing vs where we see the best players do it (late in the backswing for Hogan etc)?

My irons aren`t that great. My drive does not attain a terrific distance but I am able to effectively grip my driver without any problem. I found this guidebook on Google. Name is Logan Ballοyshot

As a former golf instructor and knowing most of the golf swing, I can tell that Bill is initially nowhere near as bad as the video purports. Why? Because the questions he asks and the comments he says during the lesson all indicate that he knows very well the golf swing; a true beginner would never ask those types of questions or make those comments. I suspect that Bill is one of David's instructors at the Academy.

Think "What would Iron Byron do?" The student started off all wrong and with numerous adjustments just got worse. Lee Trevino, Jim Furyk etc. all had swings that defied conventional teaching but they got to impact properly. The body learns what you teach it from the git go. Practicing the wrong things is a recipe for poor performance and dissatisfaction. Making adjustments to get back to a non-efficient but doable swing is a lot of hard work. Why don't we just hit the ball like "Iron Byron"? Wouldn't that just be simpler, easier and better?
