I needed this so much! I've lost my way over the years thanks to so many instructional video rabbit holes. Thank you so much for uploading this gem. Back to basics!
YES it is an old video, but David points out where you should go, there's no need to be sarcastic or are you just going with the flow? The guy is just trying too help others who want too give it a go! Am an old golfer and losing it, so some times you have too go back to the basics, So take it in as he tries too show you it, there is no need to show others your wit, what you think, you don't have too share it! Thank you David for giving us your time, it has helped me so much, my swing is back on line! Back home happy looking back how I played, it's all down too you David in what you said, happy chappy now off too bed!
This a good video that highlights key points in the long and short game of golf. There were things that he demonstrated in his swing but didn't talk about that are very important such as increasing the acceleration as the club gets longer. You can see that he accelerates faster through the ball on the longer irons and driver. While there is "one" swing as David mentions, you have to accelerate at different speeds in order to maximize the distance of your clubs; otherwise, you'll experience a common issue of bunching all your clubs together and not realizing the distance that can be acheived from each club. David also shifted his hip to his left slightly in order to setup his upper body at an angle. This allows you to contact the ball as the club is moving upwards in the swing path. Thank you for the video David.
Great explanations ! Cleared up many of my uncertain sources of mistakes. Those 3D videos and swing circle described with a big board were a great help. Every one who would improve their golfing should not miss this top of the notch lesson !
13-3. Building Stance A player is entitled to place his feet firmly in taking his stance, but he must not build a stance. What David does with his feet at 52:00 it is perfectly acceptable within the rules.
No, but nice try... Inbee used her considerable heft to excavate/ erode the side of a steep bunker wall in an attempt to place her feet level. A big difference, wouldn't you say?
Yes, i always take a divot with them, even with 3 wood of the fairway, unless i want to hit them very high, then i play the ball well forward, and sweep it
Right after studying these golf swing techniques , Jοmtοnο Naha (Go ogle it) and rehearsing the drills as I read, I went out and also shot a seventy three. I also managed to strike 13-18 greens and that was the best one I had since I started playing. On the other five holes, I got close to striking 5-10 yards with the green. 73s isn`t a normal thing for me because I have a handicap of 9. It`s been can be a very long time since I made an excellent round..

And my 80's golf instruction video binge/rabbit hole begins.

good video, complete information. thanks!
At 52:00 it should be noted rule 13-3 prohibits building a stance, 1 penalty point for doing so.

Why did he not do any A swing?
Does he still endorse the A swing? Nothing on his website about it.
This is from 1998.

He forgot to mention that it is vital to have your trousers close to your neck. Simon Cowell must be a scratch player.
This is terrible. His books are decent.
