Thanks David Leadbetter! This instantly fixed my swing. Its very difficult to come over the top with this back swing position. it's very easy to get the club shallow on the downswing from this backswing too. Thanks again! This is golf gold👍👍

He has to make a living and this swing has its critics.
but for me personally this swing just works its not for everybody i know, we are all different.
i am so pleased somebody has come up with a swing i can actually do consistently.
    Thanks David

I got the book yesterday after seeing some of these videos figuring I didn't have much to loose. I have been struggling with fat and thin shots and a bad pull for a while now. It's been very fustrating. I gave only been playing about a year and a half and in that time I have only broke 100 once. Lately my score has been getting worse instead of better.
So got the book and read through a little over half in that first day and breezed through the rest. Practiced it a bit that day and that was it. Today I went out and shot a 99 which is my second best score ever. So with just minimal time with the book and very little practice I saw results. The real test will be if I can keep the score down and improve.

Played today with this grip as an experiment. First hole, drive was dead straight 270. 225 left. Hit a 5 wood and pulled it a little. Found myself having to chip over 20 ft tall trees and a trap. Put in the trap. Got up and down. Made the next 4 greens in regulation with some excellent iron shots that went high AND straight.
Drove the ball straight all day and had some pretty surprising iron shots, both distance and accuracy wise. 180 yard 8 iron? Hit my 4 hybrid 200 yards, and played a 505 yard hole with driver and 5w! Was just off the green, pin high in 2.
Will be taking this grip to the range to see if it was a fluke or about to become the foundation of my new swing!

This swing absolutely works! I suffered from over rotating my forearm during backswing and inconsistent striking, no confidence on short game previously. With this A swing, i hit it more consistently and improved distance by 10% for all clubs. It is amazing to see my short game improved significantly as well. Thanks David! I have bought the book.

Tried this today playing golf shot one of my better rounds this year.I like the ideal of keeping the club outside the hands in the backswing. It help me to tighten my swing up and hit it flush.I hit a lot of good iron shots with a little draw.I think this swing will be eazy to repeat and less thinking.Im around a 4 handicap and going give this a chance.Cant wait to play again.

I saw this young guy hit a short backswing shot, with the club upright in the backswing. He barely turned and the connection /sound was unreal. I couldn't figure out how he did it, until I watched some of Leadbetter's A Swing method. I tried this method and its amazing. All starts with the grip and pivot. The rest is easy once you get used to syncing it up.

  • @frostshock13
    @frostshock13 9 років тому +3

I had similar results as Dennis in the comments, it took sometime to get use to it, but it has almost cured out my constant fade/slice giving me a high straight to slight draw and more distance. But, with driver I am not sure ,if it's I am not releasing quiet right, but I've ended up with a really low ball flight and it's straight (which works) or low snap hook (not so good) though it's not going wide right. I don't really endorse things, but if you're like myself and looking for a way to change your game this might be right for you or at least give a shot. Don't expect huge mircales without practice as it's easy to fall back into old habits, take it slow each shot. Practice to get use to the feel and follow through as it feels vastly different compared to normal type swing. Just wanted to share my experience so far.

Okay here is my 2cents on this, guys this swing works, short game long game, it fixed all my faults in the golf swing, i used to stand up a biy in the backswing, used to stuggle with getting my hand high in the backswing, used to stuggle with fat shots, reverse spine, you name, all of them gone.. Does it look a lil unconventional, yes but boy does it work...

Okay, I tried the concept for a few days bought the book, and have hit the range several times... And I'm liking the feeling with my irons. It is very different from the conventional back sing-so learning to do it well will take time. Already my iron play is good, high trajectories and a little longer. However the driver has proven to be tough with this concept. One positive with the driver, I tend to hook the ball often, but with the A swing I'm not hooking as much but inconsistent with the driver... I will continue to refine the method to fit me.. Thanks Leadbetter! The book is well written and understandable with great pictures.. I would recommend buying the book.

Dennis McGraw Hey Dennis, I can identify really easily with your comments - I'm a pretty strong player with my irons but I can snap my driver really easily and that's a total round killer. For someone whose already afraid of losing it left, in theory, and even to see it, the A Swing concept sounded scary - moving back from address the club face looks like it's on its way to shut but I tried this tonight at the range and I found it almost impossible to hook the ball. My irons either went bone straight or had a slight butter cut and I actually sliced a few of my drives. I think one of the main points that really resonated with me was the notion of never letting the club head get behind your hands. Keep working with this - I'm feeling like I might be able to lose the hooks with my driver and maybe you will too!

In addition to THIS, watch Practice Makes Perfect Parts 1, 2 & 3. Also by David, and the NEW A-Swing components, COMBINED with the Practice Routines describe In P.M.P. will truly make a Difference, If they're APPLIED. I personally take Leadbetter's advice over almost all others, and he keeps it Light, which it should be.

This works. This is it. I swear God's-honest-truth I've-accidentally-found/felt this swing a few times as I've played over the years...it felt right, made sense, but I couldn't quite figure out what I was doing and how to repeat it. It felt like I was striping the ball but I thought I was probably compensating for bad, ingrained habits and therefore dismissed it, talked myself out of it, as just a band-aid; It didn't look or maybe feel "classic" so I figured it was wrong. I didn't get it, now I do...Mr. Leadbetter has been able to develop, create, identify & articulate -whatever you want to call it-a powerful and repeatable golf swing. It feels like auto-pilot although does take some getting used to throughout the golf bag. Try it.

ive been doing that takeaway for years! nothing new, simpler way to put it without all the faffing and padding is just to say, take your clubhead back along the target line, more or less, it works for my irons, the grip adjustment is to stop hooking, as I know only too well as I don't use the grip he suggests, however with a nice tempo it works better than anything ive ever done with irons, as I say been doing it for years, caveat though, be careful with 3 wood off fairway, doesn't work so good, i use a variation for that and driver. nobody owns what the human body does guys, or has the right to give it fancy names, good luck

Ben Hogan's book said to put the club handle into the fingers and forever afterward, a fingers' grip is Holy Writ. Yet Moe Norman held the club handle in his two palms and established a reputation for extraordinary accuracy while winning 55 professional tournaments. In contrast to them both, the greatest champion, Jack Nicklaus, held the club in the fingers of one hand and in the palm of the other hand. So, if we have to embarrass an 8-handicapper about his palm grip in front of an audience in order to sell a book, the 'sell' is either a swindle or the product is from a closed mind. Too many all-time great golfers had phenomenal careers playing with different grip techniques, for any one grip to be taught as Gospel. If any great golf champion ever steps forward and credits the Leadbetter 'A' swing for his or her multi-million dollar earnings, perhaps then I'll buy preacher Leadbetter's new Bible. However, if we have to humiliate someone in order to convince them, the teaching is actually preaching and is psychologically bankrupt.
