    I visited this waterfall in 1988 and 1989 - you had free access but not tripod-friendly platforms! Thanks for the nostalgia Mads.

    Great campground right there. Great views of the glacier and a nice old turf farm.

    Thank you for posting this series of videos Mads. I really like the way you describe how to get to the locations. I missed Svartifoss when I visited last year. I wish I'd been able to see this before I went.
    I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos.

      MrSquawk7000 Hi Andy, I'm happy you appreciate my work! Yeah especially for my Iceland series I make a great deal out of explaining how to get to the different locations :)

    We were there last week, the road and trail were blocked by the spring melt and everything was closed. But that only means we go back to get there in the summer...an April visit runs the risk of missing due to weather conditions.

      We're going through all of them right now, with special interest in the "Photographing Iceland" episodes. We are on the final preparations for our trip to Iceland and your videos are just what we were looking for to wrap it all up.

      We're going to Iceland next month, but since it's only for a few days, we will focus our travel on Reykjavik and the Southern Region.

    Amazing videos! i am govng through each od them. one question though. I noticed you used f2.8 and f5 for some waterfall pictures. are theae photos shape when you zoom in? i thought we should use f8 or higher for these situations. Thanks if you can comment.

    • @MadsPeterIversen
      @MadsPeterIversen  6 років тому

      When you hit focus yes they're sharp "enough". They get a tiny bit sharper at f/8, but nobody would notice or ask unless you told them the aperture :)

    Really liking your videos, and currently finalising my plans for 17 days in Iceland in late summertime. i am intending to do a lot of photography and drone videos at some of these locations so very helpful re planning.
    quick question, how long would you suggest at Svartifoss and how far is the trail/hike?

    • @MadsPeterIversen
      @MadsPeterIversen  7 років тому +1

      Hi Chris, Happy you find my work usefull! The trail is around 2km from the bottom to Svartifoss. I'd say you atleast have to count with 2-3 hours. I saw they were building a new road last time I was there, so it might be easier to approach now.

      Thanks for confirming,. just doing my Iceland planning now for August/September . Trying fit everything in in 17 days is a task (already extended it from 14) and just working out my timings and time at locations for shooting. Thanks for the help.

    Is it me or the weather always is bad in Iceland?

    • @MadsPeterIversen
      @MadsPeterIversen  7 років тому +3

      Haha, I'd say it changes alot. But ofcause for daytime pictures you'd want the clouds anyway (atleast I would) ;)

    • @benjamincrozat
      @benjamincrozat 7 років тому

      Don't you prefer more saturated colors with fewer clouds or colorful sunrises/sets?

    • @MadsPeterIversen
      @MadsPeterIversen  7 років тому +2

      ***** for golden hour photos yes, vivid and saturated colors, but for daylight pictures I really like the rough, cold tone of clouds. But ofcause there's exceptions :)

      Not necessary no :)
