I was very impressed when I saw you Puffin images. I've seen zillions of Puffin photos on UA-cam and no one I've seen has measured up to your work...not even your good friend Nigel...who is tough to beat. Then you introduced the volcano pictures and I was totally blown away. Then the amazing shots just kept on coming. I believe I enjoyed the iceberg shots as much as I did the volcano. You are so blessed to be able to visit these locations and to have a partner like Sophie who enjoys traveling and hiking along with you. What a great adventure. Thanks for taking me along!
This episode was like a homecoming Mads, as your Iceland series is still like the gold standard of Iceland videos. Loved that Volcano image of you and Sophie, it was like you were time travellers who have journeyed back in time to witness the birth of planet earth
Great to see Sophie again. Of course, you made her stand on the cliff edge as usual. Very brave of her. The volcano images are out of this world. And the puffins are great!
You are absolutely the number one landscape photographer, your work, how you compose each frame is genius, the final products always blow my mind away. Have to go for one of your workshops
Having watched your videos for a few years now, I thought they were fantastic. But this goes next level for some of the big vistas. Well done and thanks for inspiring us to visit Iceland again and again…….and again 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
That image with you and Sophie silhouetted in the volcanic landscape was just amazing. Gave some sense of scale to what was before you. And then the one with you both and the glacier while you were high giving. Wow, wow, wow!!! Thank you for sharing such an amazing part of the world.
I found a great little spot for puffins in the north when I was out there in July, managed plenty of lfight shots of the birds coming in with beaks full of sandeels and some sitting shots with the midnight sun behind them.
Wow you scored a home run with this one !!! What an incredible video and outstanding photographs. The photo of Sophie and yourself by the Glacier with your hands together, made my wife tear-up .
Mads, we were in Iceland about 6 weeks ago and saw nothing like you have here. The area is EPIC. The day we left was the first eruption of the volcano by the airport. We were on a cruise and were not able to get around ourselves. (Bus tours, Golden Circle.) Really enjoyed your video and photos/videos. Well done, and look forward to others. (Side note) My whole family is Danish ancestry and going there next year. I have watched many of your videos and enjoy your commentary and obviously your photo skills. Keep producing quality like this video.
What a good sport Sophie is. I love to see her in your videos. That image of you both in front of the volcano is outstanding and one you will treasure for many years to come. Thank you both. ❤❤❤❤
Outstanding. You were born for this. Great to see Sophie too! Congratulations.Thank you for returning to Iceland. Thank you for becoming a landscape photographer! Great images! If you follow your bliss, doors will open for you that wouldn't have opened for anyone else. - Joseph Campbell
Glad Sophie got to join you. She made a great model. Love that you included so many great photos. Of course your video editing skills were evident by the fast moving and interesting shots and B roll.
I’m going back to Iceland on early November and that waterfall is on my bucket list since I ‘discovered’ it accidentally while planning the trip. I recognized it immediately. That whole area is a goldmine and full of hidden gems.
I love the fact that in the end there was a piece of trash in the grass in one shoot and in the next one you have it on the road. I can only guess you decided to take it with you. I salute this.
good man with the trash - wondered when it first appeared! 👍👍love that last waterfall shot ... but even more the drone shots of the glacial river deltas.
We were there around the same time as you, and got some very similar photo's ;) litli hrutur, Thakgil, Kerlingarfjoll, Klifbrekku, puffins, cotton fields. But your video made me realize I should have taken a drone with me. But the nice thing is, now I've got a reason to return.
Just wondering, is James still composing the trash bins? You kinda left me hanging. I just can’t wait to see his video. The shots including your partner, Sophie, we’re inspiring for me. I plan to try this more with my wife during our travels. I’ve posed her in landscapes a couple of times but with more emphasis on her than the landscape ie. big in the frame. I love the way you position Sophie to emphasize the grand scale of your shots. Thank you.
I was just wondering what ever happened to Sophie, as I had not seen her in a while, and only remembered her from your US National Park photography. Happy to see her still enjoying photography.
Cheers! Yeah, she's just been extremely busy with her career and some private stuff. She was also with me when we went to Gran Canaria in 2019 and when I did some videos from Denmark in 2020 :)
In a time when the word epic is very overused I think you hit the nail on the head with many of these shots. They are indeed epic! Awesome images ; Iooks like you had an incredible trip.
I loved this video and the photos were superb. I also enjoyed the music especially with the glacier shots, absolutely mesmerizing. I love the enthusiasm you and Nigel have for photography. You two are in my landscape photography hall of fame. I may induct James if the trash bins turn out any good. Thanks for the great photography.
Mads, you out-did yourself with this one. What an EPIC video!! Agree with other comments that the glacier images are over the top. Well done & thank you!
Was in Iceland I think the week after you Mads and although the volcano had extinguished I can concur that if you are lucky enough to witness an active volcano as we did in 2021 it stays with you for life 🌋 This years visit produced some of my best ever images of Puffins at Dyrhólaey in exquisite light and Whale flukes on a boat trip out of Husavik. This Vlog gave me goosebumps, the drone shots of the volcano are simply stunning and glacier images are beautiful 👌 whilst James is doing trash cans in Keflavik 😂🤪
Absolutely stunning video and stills. I've been enjoying your videos for a while now but in my opinion you've really stepped up the quality recently - perhaps its the longer running times and truly epic locations!
Hey Mads, you're starting to look a little older than 2019 when we last met, but I loved this Video, Epic Iceland and most certainly makes me want to return - like tomorrow! Good to see you're also just as passionate now as you were back in the day (sidenote - I do still watch your videos, but never comment. 🤓)
We finally got to Iceland 4 years after our original booking. Epic! “James stayed back to photo trash cans” ha ha. And you prefer the tamron 50-400 to Sony 200-600 plus something for wide shots?
I absolutely LOVE your videos! Thanks so much for all your hard work and great lessons. Are you planning to add the 'That Waterfall' to your Iceland Map? I've downloaded it and super excited to use it for our trip in 2 weeks.
Nice Mads ! I've been waiting for your video since you posted the 'pop' on Twitter ;-) The zoom camera of the drone definately works very well separating foreground and background while it is moving. You nailed compositions in this video too. I guess you were at the volcano 22th of August or maybe a bit later, would have loved to say hi but I was already elsewhere in Iceland. Love is also carrying your tripod up a hill ?
For me, the icing on the cake was you removing that Doritos bag. It may have been accidentally left by someone, but the thought that even a place like this gets littered makes me sick. And yes, your photos are awesome, as always! 😊
Múlagljúfur is a stunning place, but I know the feeling when the clouds come down. I think it was my 6th visit before I got a shot where I could see right up to the mountain above the falls! Beautiful shots from you as always
That first puffin shot with the sea stack in the background is my overall favourite from this set. Great work! I'm wondering if the softness in the lava photos is due to heat haze? I went back back to Iceland in June after 15 years, I couldn't believe how much busier it's become, bus loads of tourist at Reynisfjara beach for example. I'm wondering if you notice this as well.
Mads, thanks for another great video. Your earlier set of Iceland videos inspired my 2019 Iceland trip. This one compels me to go again. My favorite shot from this video is the awesome shot of the glacier from the drone.
Wow awesome video! I love the waterfalls and the shots of the volcano and the flowing lava was just mind boggling. I like puffins too and would love to see one up close. You managed some amazing shots of these little guys.
“James decided to stay back and photograph trashbins” that one cracked me up
And so tongue in cheek too 😂
What a video! Having just returned from the Highlands with my family I now want to go back again. I loved those glacier photos Mads. So so good!!!!!
Of all the photographers whose work I follow you're the best. Period.
2023 and I keep coming to watch this. Amazing
I was very impressed when I saw you Puffin images. I've seen zillions of Puffin photos on UA-cam and no one I've seen has measured up to your work...not even your good friend Nigel...who is tough to beat. You are so blessed to be able to visit these locations and to have a partner like Sophie who enjoys traveling and hiking along with you. What a great adventure. Thanks for taking me along!
Thank you so much for such kind words, Randy! 🙏
This episode was like a homecoming Mads, as your Iceland series is still like the gold standard of Iceland videos. Loved that Volcano image of you and Sophie, it was like you were time travellers who have journeyed back in time to witness the birth of planet earth
Maybe the overhead drone focus problem was severe refraction of the super hot air confusing the focus system? Loved it!
Great to see Sophie again. Of course, you made her stand on the cliff edge as usual. Very brave of her. The volcano images are out of this world. And the puffins are great!
As always Mads, absolutely stunning!!! Nothing more to say.... 👍👍👍 I hope, that I come back to Iceland next year.... 😊
You are absolutely the number one landscape photographer, your work, how you compose each frame is genius, the final products always blow my mind away. Have to go for one of your workshops
UA-cam need a wow button for videos like this. A like does not seem enough when you enjoy a video this much.
OOOOOOh Myyyyy !!!! Those shots of the Volcano are Epico......
Dies anyone know the exact location of the glacier at 17:30?
Having watched your videos for a few years now, I thought they were fantastic. But this goes next level for some of the big vistas. Well done and thanks for inspiring us to visit Iceland again and again…….and again
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You're right, Mads, this one you hit out of the park! Nice to see Sophie showing up in your videos also.
That image with you and Sophie silhouetted in the volcanic landscape was just amazing. Gave some sense of scale to what was before you. And then the one with you both and the glacier while you were high giving. Wow, wow, wow!!! Thank you for sharing such an amazing part of the world.

Absolutely beautiful. Incredible place and sight.
Can't wait to see James' video about trashbins 😂😂
Wow you scored a home run with this one !!! What an incredible video and outstanding photographs. The photo of Sophie and yourself by the Glacier with your hands together, made my wife tear-up .
Most probably she teared up because she thought "if I only had a man like Mads..."
Mads, we were in Iceland about 6 weeks ago and saw nothing like you have here. The area is EPIC. The day we left was the first eruption of the volcano by the airport. Really enjoyed the Interstellar-ish soundtrack in this video Mads. And what epic views!!!
What a good sport Sophie is. I love to see her in your videos. That image of you both in front of the volcano is outstanding and one you will treasure for many years to come. Thank you both. ❤❤❤❤

Epic! I can't wait to see your video with Tom H!
Fabulous video and gorgeou gorgeous photos! Top drawer!
Glad Sophie got to join you. She made a great model. Love that you included so many great photos. Of course your video editing skills were evident by the fast moving and interesting shots and B roll.
Truely outstanding photography & entertainment.
I’ll watch this again on the big TV.
Fantastic vid Mads! Truly one of the best!
Volcano footage was mesmerising.. absolutely stunning. Fantastic photos as usual Mads
Thanis for sharing the outstanding scenery and photography.

Yeah ... I could have waited till the end
Thanks for sharing again Mads.
And thanks to Sophie, for making those photos look better.
Stay safe 🇦🇺
What an amazing place. Such great photos. Love this, Mads
So many stunning photos. Great work, thanks for sharing!
Wow you've really outdone yourself!!!
The undisputed King of EPIC! 👍🏻
good man with the trash - wondered when it first appeared! 👍👍love that last waterfall shot ... but even more the drone shots of the glacial river deltas.
Absolutely stunning images the volcano ones are beyond belief.

Thanks a lot, Brian! My estimated guess is his video will be there soon, although don't know if he actually made one.
That volcano shot would have been an epic engagement photo! Would have gone crazy viral too
All I can think of to say is WOW!
The glacier footage is jaw-dropping!
Very glad you picked up the litter - always leave a place better than you found it :)
Hi Mads . Superb !
Mads came out with so many incredible photos. Amazing
Absolutely spectacular Mads - The images and footage brought tears to my eyes. Thank You!
Aaaaand there was me thinking I was done with Iceland for a while?! 😵💫 Awesome video, thanks Mads and Sophie!
Wahou ! yes this is definitely the best of your videos ! Thanks for sharing these megnificent pictures of the volcano :)
Excellent!
I was just wondering what ever happened to Sophie, as I had not seen her in a while, and only remembered her from your US National Park photography. Happy to see her still enjoying photography.

Beautiful, amazing images and video of that volcano!
just epic... great video
Stunning images of the volcano
For your Instagram cave, I get my “I was there” photos but, I also look for other compositions others dont
In a time when the word epic is very overused I think you hit the nail on the head with many of these shots. They are indeed epic! Awesome images ; Iooks like you had an incredible trip.
Amazing. ❤
I was along when the old video was released. Amazing! :D

Absolutly love this video 😍🥰
Some of your most striking work that I truly enjoyed watching.
Incredibile photo's from a magnificent place. Thanks for sharing

There may be a Warhol moment with the trash cans! Who knows!
Stunning locations,brilliant images, thank you!
Amazing video...Iceland is like a dream. I wish someday I can visit it! Love your amazing and inspiring work!
Your creative eye is always impressive. My favorite youtube photographer.

Awesome! There is so much to see and experience!
Amazing images and your videos are so beautiful. Your shots of the volcano makes one realize how the earth is ever changing and evolving.

Great shots from great locations. My favorite is the flowing lava. I've always liked shots of active volcanoes.
beautiful place... I am planning to go during september as well! hello from sydney!
No one does Iceland better than you. 😮
Best yet Mads ! The glacier and volcano 🌋 shots ……wow I’m jealous ! Love the drone zoom compression shots as well ! 👏👏👏
Thank you so much, Art! I really appreciate you saying that because I have poured my heart and soul into this one!
Such epic landscape. Just loved your experience. Images were out of this world. Totally fabulous. Many thanks to you and to Sophie. xxx

Surreal. Outstanding work.❤
Insanely good Mads! Incredible video footage and awesome images - top work; you're a legend 😊
We finally got to Iceland 4 years after our original booking. Epic! “James stayed back to photo trash cans” ha ha. And you prefer the tamron 50-400 to Sony 200-600 plus something for wide shots?
Haha! He did 😅 - in regard to lenses, yes absolutely, not sure I'd benefit much from the 200-600 unless it's for wildlife.
I absolutely LOVE your videos! Thanks so much for all your hard work and great lessons. Are you planning to add the 'That Waterfall' to your Iceland Map? I've downloaded it and super excited to use it for our trip in 2 weeks.
Awesome images, and thank you for the trash removal.
Those drone shots were truly breathtaking ❤❤❤
Amazing shots and clips!! Thank you
