Thanks for video! Not only did I just complete my first oil change on the ST I got my first oil change ever done! Only thing, the under pan may have six screws three in the front three in the back. Maybe it’s just me not know where everything is located but get it nice and high in the front. Made it a lot easier getting under and everything is done laying in front of the driver tire. Can’t wait to do more work on my car super glad I found your channel!
The valve issue is you need a new valve seal most likely is why it’s spewing out oil, just had the same thing happen on my friends car and we replaced the valve seal it was just one of them.
I go with whatever full synthetic is on sale at Walmart. I've used all the major brands like Valvoline, Quaker State, Penzoil, and Super Tech. All good oils. Never had issues with any of them. And always a Motorcraft filter.
@@jacobMMotorsport thanks for the reply from focus st owner! literally i had to find this debate on google and found zero answer with little hint on 5w20 and 10w30 which where i live has hot weather entire days and not like any UK . knowing that the focus st owner in my country is like none-existent so looking for an answer is impossible here.

What’s your guys favorite oil company?
I always go with MOTUL. A little pricey but it's the good stuff.
@@greecoboost I’ll have to try them out
@@jacobMMotorsport You can get the MOTUL oil change kit from either Panda Motorworks or from Carmaspeed.

My manual says 5w20 why is he using 5w30?
I’ve always used 5w30 but my parts manager told me the same thing though not to long ago zz
manual is for general ford focus, ST is a separate pamphlet and car uses 5w30. apparently no much of a difference though and fine either way
What year is your St?
2016
My dude: PLEASE wear gloves when dealing with auto fluids (oil, coolant, grease, etc) Stay safe.
Thanks bro I need gloves bad lol
Gloves are for the weak
I’m kinda dumb lol, but why for oil other liquids I could understand, is it just good practice or that ppe is actually pretty important?
@JosiahH916 oil is pretty safe, just don't eat your sandwich without washing your hands lol.
