    What's up man! I'm active duty Air Force and we have a shop like that on base as well. Makes working on my new ST so much easier. I'm about to do my first oil change next week. Your video was very helpful! Keep up the good work, I will definitely be following you 👍🏼

      yeah I love the ST, it will be my first turbo when I decide to pull the trigger and I plan on doing some mods like you've done. I'm pretty noobish when it comes to doing my own car stuff so i'll be checking out all your videos. Im in the AF in Italy currently.

    Love the ST man; I've been looking for one as a commuter car. Life goes fast and I don't want a boring Civic or Corolla ... these things hold their value; was hoping to find one for $15K, but no luck.

      +Krasnaludek I don't think you'll find one for about 15k maybe a 13 st1 with 60k miles might be 15k.

    Hi Mr Torres,nice video! I have an St 2016 and any time i punch the gas it wheel hops really bad in first and second gear, is this normal?

    • @TTorres1183
      @TTorres1183  8 років тому

      jescar69 thanks for watching! Yes this is very normal, the ST has a lot of torque which will cause the wheel hop. Make sure you subscribe for more great content!

    • @michaelros8573
      @michaelros8573 8 років тому +1

      Google search RMM Focus ST. I went with a Mountune RMM and there is no more wheel hop, and the gears are even smoother now. Hope this helps! :)

      Not every oil change, but it should be replaced if it's worn or shown signs of cracks or other problems. I usually replace mine about once every 4-5 oil changes.

      I did subscribe and I like that you work on your car yourself. In Namibia, Africa where I live we would have to pay between $200 and $500 USD for an oil change, plugs and air filter omg! And you can loose you warranty by even running a Ford Performance FMIC

    • @TTorres1183
      @TTorres1183  7 років тому

      +Frikkie Coetzee thanks! I couldn't afford to change my oil If it cost that much in America...! Warranty is voided is Africa is a different FMIC is put on your car?

      T Torres1183 it is insane bro, I had a 3' MBRP in my previous FiST and they wanted to deny my claim for a new CV joint which had a failed boot seal they installed. We struggle here, so most guys drive 3 years & trade in. With the Cobb Stage 1 kit I have now (which was US$950 with shipping fromTexas) I am struggling to afford petrol right now haha :-). PS check out how far Namibia is.
      The plan is Airtec FMIC, MBRP catless DP, MRT Axle back exhaust and Stage 3 Statified pop and crackles tune. FBO. But that ia next year after I finish my studies.
      What is fitted to your car bro? The upgrade path?

    Use some rubber gloves to protect your hands if the motor and oil are still scalding hot. They will also protect you from the carcinogens in the old dirty motor oil. Also, you have the option of running the shorter FL-910 oil filter or the longer FL-400. Both cost about the same but the 400 provides more filtration.

      Yeah man! Whats your ig name? I never get on anymore, but I will check yours out!
      So far, I got the Boomba racing short throw shift kit, and the alum. bushings for it. Picking up a used Roush intake from a local for $150 this coming Wed. Too good of a deal to pass it up. I had really wanted the CP-E intake because it looks beautiful, but to get an intake for $150, you cant beat that! Oh, and then a pedal spacer. I think at this point I may get Weathertech floormats made for the focus, and then I will take it easy on upgrades until I get it.
      I really want to get Stratified's aux fueling after that, because I want to run full E85. Which I will need a tune as well/cobb accessport by that time.
      Long term plans. Idk, maybe a EFR turbo setup, or a GTX3076R in the mix. Of course forged goodies and full bolt on's too. I want to, at a minimum, be in the 400+ dyno hp range (over time).

    Why not buy the oil on base? So much cheaper. And one more thing, you should never use a wrench on the filter to tighten. just my 2 cents.

    • @TTorres1183
      @TTorres1183  8 років тому

      +Thomas Whitmore cause base doesn't run a deal on 5qts and a oil filter plus my speed perks rewards. Then what's the point of a oil filter wrench?

    Whaaaat? Changing oil on the 16 year old Mk1 Focus is a breeze! Imagine taking off all of these shields with your back baking on hot and rough asphalt on low jack stands on a 100 degree California day.. Lining those back up again would be such a pain. A little dirt never hurt my oil pan, exhaust piping, or transmission pan. This isn't an off road car. One more thing to eventually start dragging on the ground after a few lube shops over tighten the screws and crack the shielding. This is my favorite car and no way would that be a deal breaker. Just sometimes automakers make regular service work too intimidating and intensive for the common car owner when they don't have to. Like way to go bmw for not including dipsticks on some of the models. Working on cars used to be a father son type of thing, like a tradition, and now a simple oil change is best left to the experts.

    • @torquesteer4594
      @torquesteer4594 6 років тому +1

      it's quite the trend on these cars (not something I would do) and if you drive on dirt roads a lot they would be worth it. Also, the rear tires still throw rocks, FWD or not.

      I don't really understand this. Mudflaps are meant to protect your car from mud and dirt. Why y'all hate? Thats literally their only job
